Just came off this flight. For context I am a frequent flier on Singapore airlines from JFK to various parts of south east Asia. The PROS of ANA. The leg room is unbelievable for economy. The plane was configured as mostly first and business class with a tiny premium economy and the last cabin left for economy. I fly economy all the time. Flight crew are so kind, gentle and amazing. No issues there whatsoever. Meals - very small portions. If you are big eater, you may need to walk with some food. Food was ok. I would say SQ is way ahead in portion size and flavours. For eg in my shrimp tempura lunch I got one shrimp! The mid flight snack is also a tiny roll with tuna salad. The gally only had mini Kit Kats, small snack ( similar to what you get after departure) and a banana. If you ever flew SQ or emirates you would see the major difference on snacks that are available. The second meal was also very small for a 14 hour flight, you would expect a full meal but it was only the main course, a small potato salad and a muffin.Movie selection was ok. Not too expansive and there were no tv series. The live tv never worked. I paid 21 usd for all flight internet. You get free internet on SQ as a Krisflyer. I paid the same fare I would have paid with SQ but I wouldn't choose ANA again if I had a choice.
ANA used to have bigger meal portions, but the small size post pandemic is very bothersome and not ideal for economy class flights. To travel internationally, I wholeheartedly recommend either Singapore Airlines or Japan Airlines as they have much more to offer food wise. IFE on Japanese airlines is very limited since they mainly cater to the Japanese passenger, which is why they fall short of Singapore Airlines. I've flown Emirates and Singapore Airlines, and the main difference here is that these airlines cater to the world while Japanese airlines cater to the Japanese only.
@@skyeye787 agreed with everything you said. Dreading my flight back to jfk from Thailand on ANA. I have become spoilt on SQ. On my flight from Haneda to bkk which was at midnight they served a snack bag for the first meal. I was really disappointed as I deliberately didn’t eat in the Ana lounge. The breakfast was also disappointing.

I want to ask a question my question is from Tokyo To Newyork flight journey is there any particular flight path where the aircraft faces massive or light turbulence? Because I am quite scared of turbulence 😃🙏🙏
Usually during the winter time the jet stream and ANAs flight path aligns so you are bound to encounter some turbulence, I’ve sat through some severe turbulence and these airplanes are built like a tank, it’s completely safe to fly even during heavy turbulence 😊

It’s a compressed video. It is possible to record everything within a 11+ hour flight but not really advisable to do so.
