    • @MqLei
      @MqLei  Год назад +3

      I think most likely that was not full power. This flight is not that long for 77W, and the load should not be really high thanks to ANA's cabin configuration

    I flew on a 777 with United back in 2003, flying between San Francisco and Maui. On the flight TO Maui, I had a window seat right next to the #2 engine. It’s the biggest airliner that I’ve flown on to date.

    • @MqLei
      @MqLei  9 месяцев назад +2

      Well there are not to many out there larger than 777s😂 What’s interesting is that the aircraft that took you to Maui might still be in service, 20+ years old is not too old for United I suspect

      I can’t be sure since TOGA is rarely used. But this takeoff uses almost full power, if not full power. It surely sounds more powerful than those I’ve seen in other vids

    why are the slats left open sooo long?

    • @MqLei
      @MqLei  11 месяцев назад +2

      This is a 12 hour flight so plane is heavier, therefore slats are retracted later. Also the slats of 777 can remain deployed when flaps are up, so perhaps flaps are already retracted for a bit of time and they only left slats deployed

    Wow! I experienced this ACTUAL to/ga thrust 2 weeks ago on a Qatar 777-300ER, however my GoPro turned off right as the engine was spooling up. I unfortunately did not notice that I stopped recording and it was a real shame because it was the best takeoff I've ever heard. This is one of the few videos on RUclips that ACTUALLY showcase TO/GA GE90 Power. Great job!

      OH MY GOD that is so unfortunate! Similar thing happened to me couple years ago when the SD card of my camera stopped working while I was boarding the plane, but it was a routine flight so not a great loss compare to yours. Anyway, thanks for the support!

    Can a 777 recover during takeoff if it loses both engines?

    • @MqLei
      @MqLei  15 дней назад

      @@roadracer1593 Depends how fast it’s going at that point, before V1 then it could just stop, after that I believe no safe stop can be guaranteed. Worst case, if already airborne, I believe no aircraft can, best outcome might be like US airlines landing on Hudson River, unless the aircraft has reached a high altitude already
