i'm assuming with roll ins instead of bonking off the coping you just launch the board up and forward with the momentum and jump up
Accidentally did a fly out while practicing on a 4’ and did a foosh facing back down the ramp. I landed sitting on the coping and laughed my ass off, but my wrist still hurts after a week and a half. Definitely need wrist braces and pads. 😁 Thanks JB

I'd love to see a lesson on different grabs while airing out! I've had this issue where whenever I go out I frontside grab with my back arm in between my knees and just hate how it looks on footage. Would love to know some tricks and tips on tuck knee grabs or just other tweaked frontside grabs and how to get more comfortable doing them when you air out, maybe even backside grabs! Love your channel and JB seems like such a genuinely nice and chill dude, not to mention how great the guy shreds and breaks down these tricks. Will definitely be passing this channel on to everyone I can, glad I found it!

I haven’t bumped off my back wheels since like 1987. When we got symmetrical boards, we started bumping our front wheels off the sidewalk cracks and coping.

I find this trick easier to do on a wider board. For example, I do this trick with a board over 9.5 (I ride a reissue rob roskopp from the 80s😎

Nothing wrong with scooters. My local has tons of people who ride scooters and most of them are late teens or older, and they fucking shred. The only people who can get annoying are the 6 year old scooter kids who snake you, but I’ve got nothing against scooters in general

I have a suggestion for a new video, a tutorial on how to slide the wheels on a kick turn. There is a tomb stone feature on my local park which is only about 3 feet wide, the best way to turn on the vert wall is by sliding the wheels, I am having a real hard time with it
You need to pump straight up and into a slide turn that happens at the top of your pump. That’s when you’re weightless and can slide your wheels easily. Remember to stay leaned in and slide into your pump leaning forward knees bent.

You talk a lot about pulling up your knees, but I'm curious about how and when to fold your upper body forward since I think this helps in pulling up the knees. At 5:12 for example, your upper body is folded forward A LOT :)

What are the rules when there's no coping? Picture launching up a bank at the skatepark. Ive been skating 10 years but didn't have a local park until a few years ago so I've got solid flat ground fundamentals but skatepark stuff doesn't come easy for me!

I know it's not really your style or type of video but I would like to see some content somewhere about building up the strength of the ankles to be 'tight'.
I think this ankle strength is one of my biggest areas of improvement.
Looking forward to getting into more transition this year.
Bend down a little and imagine someone bigger was going to try to push you over . Notice how you engage your thighs and your ankles and feet to lock them and grow roots so you can’t move.
