Hia Chris, missed your content as notifications were turned off so got some content to catch up on. Great video from beginning to end bro, as for the brakes I have the Hope tech 4 v4 and they squeeked like hell but I changed the pads but before that I rubbed them together with a bit of washing up liquid and rinsed them. Then I cleaned up the rotors with microfibre cloth and some nailvarnish remover and now the squeek is gone, very strong brakes slowing down 300+ pounds. I'm going to get a QS 273 5T to replace my 205 5t as I have a lot of hills and I will follow your direction and get some laser cut dropouts for my stealth clone frame so thank you for the info. Always appreciate your work.
Fantastic advice! Damn, I even changed the crappy e-bay bought torque arms I had put on my build (cheap thin jubilee clip on ones) and made 2 x Steel plate 5mm thick & drilled / bolted onto the rear axle frame area... Funny thing is - and to anyone who has a high powered e-bike they will find this amusing, well my e-bike build is only a 1500w 48v rear hub drive with a 52v20ah battery to power it... But, I just didn't trust the cheap torque arms I'd bought off of e-bay as I was constantly worried that the jubilee clip wouldn't have the strength to keep the wheel safely in the rear axle if it decided it wanted to tear itself loose. Fair play to anyone who says 1500w isnt enough power to torque force the wheel from it's axle, but I now ride with complete confidence my wheel is staying right where it should be... Damn good advice in this video, especially for high powered hub motors.
Now you may not need those extra drop outs if you don't have a large controller or running high voltage. If you running a Sabvaton or under 12k you'll be ok but if you give it some real power yeah, you gonna need some real drop outs, you'll find out
I noticed you have the Cycle Analyst V3 display on your bench table - that's what I ended up getting on my bike enduro bomber bike from Leilie on Alibaba but it doesn't seem to report motor wattage correctly (it's about 3x lower than the real value) ... have you heard or seen that too with that display? I'd really like to swap it for a color 750 but it seems like my sabvoton controller is wired or programmed specifically to work only with the Cycle Analyst and I was told I'd have to get a whole new controller if I wanted to use a 750 display, which seems a little crazy. Love your content by the way, subbed!
Chris, I just bought a qs273 for bomber, but the brake caliper doesn’t fit on the rotor. The caliper is rubbing against it. What cailper do you recommend?
@905canada you need some spacers or different caliber bracket if your using large rotors you need caliber extension if it rubbing on the motor you need some washers to offset only need like a mm or 2 gonna be close
Garmata EB or NB Power EB frame they use the same frame its the same one Delfast, Cab motorworks and Eleek uses. Its one of the best Diy frames you can get steel with Solid welds. There are lots of clones look similiar but they are not
They have them for all drop outs mine is 150mm but you can get them for any size. it is possible to change axle if you find a used one for a good price but you need a hydraulic press to change them
Cycle Analysis to add PAS? I was thinking about buying a fardriver and a Cycle Analysis. So I can have pedal assist. I really like that its a bicycle too
Ive seen where you can do a simple mod and add pass to almost anything I myself just never had interest I need to check because lots of people do like it
how bout going live streams some times get some funds an answer peeps questions on the stream someone gives you 5 bucks they get a 5 dollar question answered you want more money up the price not sayin its all about the money but your time is gotta by worth something ,you can do things like battery builds live bike builds live etc. that would be fun just a thought bro you rock keep it up
Any link to buying those Torque Blocks? 🤔

Hi Chris, great video! I have one question; do you ever get tired of people asking questions? :) Stay cool brother.
Love the name Btt
I probably should have said if your running high power now if your not running really high pwr you may be able to get away with it
I’m upgrading to scooter/motorcycle brakes to help stopping power but idk if I will still be able to keep regen
