Is it normal for it to leake back behind the motor once completed my mechanic said yes but this second day now an if I go use restroom
And come back it drips from somewhere behind the motor causing a decent size puddle shop says it’s normal but it doesn’t look normal can you explain further if you can pls any info will help

First, are you sure the leak is coming from behind the valve cover? If it's leaking from behind the valve cover, it's "NOT SUPPOSED TO". Are you sure it's motor oil, "NOT" transmission fluid? Check the torque or make sure the bolts are tightened up. But, if it's "NOT" leaking from the back off the motor, where the valve cover is; you might want to check your rear main seal or oil pan. GO CHECK OUT 2 OR 3 TRUCKS LIKE YOURS AND SEE IF THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME EXACT OIL LEAK. IT'S NOT NORMAL.
Mine use to leak in that same spot...it was bad gasket alignment....like the seal fell out of the groove during installation and they just tightened down....I pulled the cover off and re-installed the seal properly....No leaks!
