Recorded on 5/3/18. The MTA is demoing this bus until May 25th, 2018, which is making weekday runs on the X17J. The schedule is published weekly online on www.silive.com. The bus is by no means a slug, powered by a 380 horsepower 1250 lbft torque Cummins ISL9 mated to an Allison B500R transmission. We hit ~62 to 65 MPH on the NJ Turnpike, a far cry from this bus's counterparts in Hong Kong, which are governed to a measly 43 MPH. Enjoy the ride =)

Excellent video, very clear and I felt like the driver the entire time lol. I loved the interaction between the customers. Seemed like a very comforting ride with a lot of positive feedback.
I love the positivity of Americans. Here in the UK, if somebody had cheerfully asked "What do we think of our new bus?" they'd have been greeted with a sullen silence, before somebody muttered "Doesn't bloody matter, does it? It's still taking me to sodding work."
They can get on the worst bus in the UK and still won’t care, even if the bus LITERALLY SOUNDS LIKE IT’S FALLING APART.
This is what NY needs. London already has an advantage because the core of the bus fleet are double decker buses.
Unfortunately they didn’t buy these buses because of a height issue with NYC Bridges
They just bought more coach buses instead

Good overall ongoing support for the Transit Authority continuously brings forth good and at times, interesting new buses I'm glad that I live in this city.

What are the dimensions on this bus? The driver seems to be making really wide turns.
It’s between 42 and 45ft. Also the person might have zoomed in his camera. Another reason is that this view is recorded from the upper deck.
