As bad as the line up is for English the first half the year im thankful there arent sets im going to have to dump my wallet on, I need a break from all the spending I did in the second half of 2024. There is still Nikke coming out in April that people will go after, but I feel like the good stuff will release between Oct-Dec.

Im starting to think its better to just collect japanese cards overall, in pokemon its cheaper and better quality and in union arena/Weiss Schwarz it seems to have more detail but idk about the quality but its easier to get singles, for a collector only stand point, what do you think? cheers

I think for collecting its better because generally its cheaper too. However you'll likely find it harder to sell WS or UA Japanese singles than english singles.
Pokemon though yeh, JP is cheaper and I feel like it is a better opening experience compared to english too. Although JP prices are a bit lower than English there's still PLENTY of people that collect pokemon JP so doesn't really effect how hard it is to sell etc.

@@PokeMike Oh i see, i tought it was the oposite for union arena and weiss, maybe i will stick to english then and a few singles in japanese, and for pokemon il start going more for the japanese version, thanks !!

Nikkes art doesn't hold a candle to azur lane vol 1 or even 2 for that matter.

I think you have great intentions on trying to justify situations on why JP gets certain things and overseas doesn't. Just keep in mind that with most IP goods from JP, including Pokemon. There is a lot of nationalism involved in why things are the way they are. I.E. How almost all pokemon promos are in JP only. These are all global franchises with great logistics, internet and communication. Moving cardboard around isn't that difficult even if they need to get it autographed. An elephant in the room is the fact that MOST of the time, there is no excuse for not having simultaneous releases for card products worldwide --- Wouldn't that be a start?

English gets just as many promos just not as many exclusive promos but its starting to change. English has gotten more exclusive promos now like van gogh pikachu and the zard vmax alt from the premium collection. I'm a JP collector. We used to get exclusive promos but the parent company must have caved to the complaints. The worlds promo doesn't count to me. I want another master battle set (alola friends) or rocket case. I miss the old days

@@Kamehamehobby The Shrouded promos as well. Have they shown up in Japanese yet?
