Union Rim repaired my Corvette ZR1 wheel. Fixed the front end vibration. These guys are the best in the GTA.

The lovely roads here in Winnipeg managed to bend all 4 wheels on my S4 this past winter, which also lead to damage to a wheel bearing. I feel your pain
God damn that's Insanity how bad are the potholes over there? Are these OEM Audi rims?
@@carswithsonduren yup. Stock 19 inches. It wasn't the potholes, it was the frost heaves. It felt like driving across railroad tracks for hundreds of meters at a time. Thankfully that road is getting resurfaced this summer

@@carswithsonduren well, let's just say there are certain roads I would counsel you to avoid, on anything other than a hovercraft.... LOL! (It's actually a very nice city. We just have some really crappy roads)

Very informative, Union Rim was a great find. As for rim refinish, I'm biased toward a silver aluminum; but I can tell you want to go with the same gun metal or darker. Great video, thanks.

Thanks for info and process it takes to fix....I took my wheels in to get some comedic work done.. found out inner rears where bent ..Not that i noticed while driving..I was like whats? bent? but they fixed while tires were off and this video showed me ...more in depth what my shop was talking about. Thanks.

I took a batch of computer case panels for powder coat, and a few of them had holes in them which need patched. There are a NUMBER of ways to go about patching them and *John* proposed to weld them. The guy turn my panels into T-1000 from Terminator 2.
Moral of the story, don't ask anyone to weld unique/irreplaceable parts until that person has demonstrated to you that they can actually do it.

Canadian Rider yeah your knocking it outta the park with the videos, They are already Phantom Black like my car and I’m getting them done over because of curb rash. A garbage truck and I didn’t agree on lanes so I had to sacrifice my wheels over my body

Cool video, I have a very similar wobble on a Forged wheel. Can forged be corrected like in this video?

Can a bent rim be fixed without damaging the finish of the wheel? Or does the rim need to be refinished after its straightened?

A shop was able to fix my 22inch rim, but they put 12 .25 wheel weights on the rim. Is this normal? I still get a lot of vibration. More than before actually
I would say that's normal.
I would suggest check if the wheel is hub centric and check the balance on the other three.
Roadforce balance them if you can. Will tell you if it's a problem from tire or wheel.
Does fixing bent rim ruin the rim paint?
Nope unless the paint is already damaged

I had a cracked rim fixed by them and it wasnt professionally done. It wasnt smooth surface 😔

I took my rim to a shop and they told me it's center bent and it's not fixable.
That’s unfortunate but yes sometimes these rims cannot be repaired depending on the damage.
Get a bronze finish on the rims. Would look nice against the black

Flat tires and or bent rim(s) caused by sink holes - I mean pot holes by ass holes who are uneducated on how to fix ass holes - I mean pot holes on our roadways! make the county or city pay for it - 100%

It depends on the damage etc.
Now I am so scared that my rims may be bent...although there s no noticeable vibration
So the How is just to let these people do it. You don't show the hydraulic bending so this video is worthless.
