These are consistently some of the best segments on Conan's show. Will Forte is always hilarious and provocative as Ted Turner. I guess you could say it's his Forte.

Will Forte was boring on SNL but he's so great here
What episode did you watch? He stepped down they did not get rid of him like they do most. He was in the top 3 in the 2000's. Imho
Yngsatchvai i only remember forte being in a few sketches and he was never that impressive -- macgruber, george bush jr., gillie's teacher, and the soft-talking politician on weekend update. i never saw him let loose and do a funny impression the way he does here as ted turner. it's probably not really his fault; snl has lost its edge over the years. it's to conan's credit that he can give forte something funny to do.
You couldnt ne more wrong about him being boring. Shoes you dont know much of anything about comedy.

Forte is one of those mediocre "comedians" who are benefitting with the lack of good comedians & take advantage of their good fortune timing ,since SNL is like an institution no matter how lousy it has become, comedians coming out from it are offered jobs undeservingly while so many talented ones never have an opportunity ,timing & connections are paramount ,& hollywood has so many fools due to that & nepotism.

He was both a liberal and conservative, he was liberal on the environment, healthcare, and foreign policy, but he was conservative in his control of television because he only wanted to air family friendly content that didn't promote civil disobedience, violence, or nudity/swearing. Captain Planet was basically promotion of his liberal environmentalism in the most conservative, sanitized way possible.
