I am using my Birkin more than my Kelly because it's more convenient. Birkin is more for 'on the go' bag. I'm not a shoulder bag person though. Lovely collection you have there!

A black togo Kelly 28 with GHW is my dream bag! I'm surprised that it's one of your least used bag - maybe after the leather soften a bit, the closing of the bag will get easier? I have a Chanel double flap too ( a 2.55 reissue) - and I agree with you that it's a hassle to have to open TWO flaps every time I need something from my bag. So I usually use the bag for occasions that I won't be opening my bag much like dinner/movies/musicals etc.

Definitely! Although now I try to tell myself to make my money's worth by using my items. I read a book that says 'don't wait for the special occasion, everyday you get to wake up, it's a day that needs celebrating'. This really changed my mentality a great deal xx

If I were you, I would have thought about selling the small double flap as it seems a bit redundant to the mini flap. Of course, they are all cute and lovely and I can fully understand if you decide to keep them all.
I'm surprised that 2 of your 3 most used bags don't have straps to carry on the shoulder or crossbody. I feel that I need hands-free for functionality. How do you deal with shopping or going to the bathroom without a longer handle or strap?
A very good question! I find most bathrooms to have a hanger to hang the bag. In terms of shopping, seeing my little one doesn't need me to carry him anymore, shoulder strap is no longer a must for me 😇
While i agree with you point of view about the small classic flap (does not fit much and shorter strap limiting cross body wear) I don’t think you should sell it. Its a sentimental piece and you can pass it to your daughter next time :)
My suggestion is that you put away, in a different closet if possible, in their dust bags and protected from humidity, etc , all the bags you are not reaching for at this point. I've made the mistake of getting rid of-- AND! even donating some of my luxury bags, which I truly regretted later on. Get them out of your way and your sight, and completely out of your mind for a while -Then after some months have passed and if you still don't love them go ahead and sell them. I did that (putting away, not selling) a few months ago with my LV's that I just don't reach for anymore. Just give it time, don't rush anything.
I agree on this. I would also suggest that you designate your chanel and kelly 28 bags as special occasion bags, for events where you won't come up against their flaws that kept you from reaching for them. As for the speedy bag, its main advantage over the birkin is that it has a shoulder strap so I don't see you giving it up at all.

It seems everyone was able to get a black Birkin 25 and Crane Kelly 25 or those are on the top wishlist. No offense as it was just my impression. When many are adding more and more to their luxurious collection, your content attitude and reasoning on your careful selection to keep a very balanced and practical collection is very inspiring. Even your respectful approach towards Hermes purchase is down to earth and delightful. I feel many figured you would let go either the Chanel small classic or the Kelly 28, I feel you may miss the Chanel small more than the Kelly 28 if you let it go.

Out of all the bags you in your video, I think maybe the Louis Vuitton Speedy you will be selling? It’s still lovely, but it just looks a bit boring compare to your other gorgeous bags. Chanel double flap is a bit like Rolex, it will increase in value and you will get around to using it one day. Especially when your kid is bigger.
