I really appreciate your approach to this matter. In my experience people will cling on to luxury pieces no matter what, as soon as they obtain them. This gives a somewhat ‘needy’ vibe, I think. Like the items ‘own’ their owners. Letting go of luxury items that fills no real purpose in your daily life is a sign of maturity, imo
I've read a book called Irrationally Predictable. The author calls this the 'endowment effect'. People tend to have some kind of attachment with their belongings. It's really interesting to know about how the human minds work in relation to their possession xx
This is so true. I always had limits but keep exceeding them. My first was no more than 3 Chanel WoCs because I'm a very small bag kinda person so all I need is a tiny bag. Then it was 5 bags total and then 10 and if I want anymore I have to sell one before I replace it. I never wanted to feel encumbered or burdened by my things and I certainly don't have an enormous collection but it's beyond what I need and I'm still lusting after more 🤦♀️ I need to go to a desert island with no luxury shops or internet 😂
You are so realistic and practical. I can’t see myself using the LV toiletry pouches for products. They are too expensive to spill products in. I use toiletry pouches I get with my cosmetics.
You are so smart with your thinking and I admire how you are able to keep your luxury collection minimal and truly consider what is worth buying (and keeping). I have thought about downsizing my collection many times, for years, and while I have actually been able to upgrade it and even downsize a bit I k n o w that I don`t need 30+ handbags. I just love them all so much that I don`t want to let go. I think I use them as well, although, mathematically I know it is not possible.
Thank you so much for sharing! It sounds like you have a dreamy collection of handbags! Don't force yourself to let go of them especially if they truly bring you joy xx
I bought the Louis Vuitton toiletry pouch 26 three years ago and I love it! For me it works perfectly when I travel or spend a long weekend at my parent's place ☺️ It can fit all my skincare products so I don't have to carry two smaller toiletry pouches like I used to. It was so unpractical. The lovely sales person at LV store told me that if the pouch gets dirty, you can use Marseille soap to clean it. So far I haven't had the need to do it. I love your videos! ❤️ And usually I totally agree with everything you say 😊 I think it's a good thing to sell all the items you don't need or that are not just right for you.
Totally agree with you on the Chanel WOC. I can’t stand the super long chain and returned the bag. I don’t understand how people have to mess around with the chain to make it practical to us when you spend over $2500 on it.
Hi! I discovered your channel just last night, after watching the first one, I continued to watch three more! I love your honesty and simplicity, it’s so refreshing and adorable! I look forward to watching more of your videos! 🤗
Thank you for the video. I have many shoes purchases which I have never worn because they are high heels but they are beautiful. It just does not suit my life style anymore with 2 kids. I agree with pointy flat shoes, they look more chic however they are not very comfortable compare to round ones.💕
I love my love bracelet. For sure this is the best luxury item ive ever bought in my life! Never taken it off since I purchased. Worth every single penny and highly recommend to buy the new one from the boutique! I don’t think you are supposed to take the love bracelet on and off. It is now part of my body. Also my chanel flats are one of my fave item ! Personally i dont like etoupe colour. Reminds me of sewage water 💦
I really really like this video because of how clearly you expressed your reasoning for selling these pieces. I do not own any Cartier bracelets myself (although I just bought the juste un clou regular thickness for myself as a grad. present- had to save up for that one lol), and if I ever think of owning one, I will make sure to take your advice in mind when making my decision. The jewelry can be beautiful pieces, but if they do not compliment your lifestyle then they are not worth it! It's just like buying an expensive outfit and then never wearing it because you don't like how you look in it. And for the bags, same thing, if you don't use them and they are not exactly what you want, then its not worth it :)

Hi Eileen! I love love love how practical you are and that you are moving towards a more capsule/minimalist style. This is what I originally wanted to do when I first got into luxury. 1 because it was so expensive but 2 because we live in a small flat and I hate clutter. BUT over the last 6 years I've become so obsessed, there's so much FOMO and sometimes items I used to dislike I've now bought 🤦♀️ a lot of it is FOMO, especially when items are seasonal. I now want a Neonoe because of the history after watching a history of LV video 😩😱 I'm so easily influenced but I truly want to stop! Enjoy what I have and not get any more or let go of items before I get anything else. That was the original plan but so far I've only let go of my Gucci super mini to replace it with an LV Felicie empreinte in red. The problem with lux is it never stops there's always a new bag, a new colour, a new design...
The Cartier JUC ring is certainly keeper for me. I especially love wearing it in the winter, it stands out even when I'm wearing my big coats. It's a lot moe comfortable than the JUC bracelet too xx
I appreciate all the inputs you shared. I especially agree with you regarding the Chanel flats! They do look stumpy when worn, esp for petite girls 😅 it might look better with the solid colored ones ☺️
Thank you for a wonderful share. After debating about the love bracelet I finally found my bracelet was : the love small PM with 6 diamonds . I’d like to say Cartier bracelet are industrial look and van cleef (perlee collection) much feminine . For example wearing my Pm love with a one motif van cleef motif and a redline elevate the look to chic feminine . Luxury must be according to our lifestyle and personal taste and not trying to keep up with the jones. Sending you love and blessings ❤️
I love the JUC collection but i am considering the pm version because i like edgy but pieces i can wear everyday and i find the bracelet too chunky. I domt like the love bracelet, i prefer the hermes kelly bracelet. Big hug from Shanghai.
Hi Yinglin! It's really good to hear you enjoy your Hermes Kelly bracelet. Do you have it in rose gold? I love rose gold from Hermes🧚♀️ PS: would love to visit Shanghai one day xx
Colourful Noir oh i dont have a kelly bracelet yet. It is in my wishlist and thanks to one of your videos because i was originally considering a love bracelet ☺️ I tried the kelly bracelet on in store and will def buy it in rose gold. I am waiting for my trip to Europe when i can visit my family ( i am from Barcelona). I just bought the VCA sweet alhambra rosegold bracelet and i love it so i will add more pieces to my wishlist. I wonder if you have any recommendations (i also have the vintage alhambra mop pendant). Welcome to Shanghai! I have been living here for over 5 years and i plan to become a chinese grandma 🤣🤣🤣 Love Shanghai lifestyle. Big hug 😘
To be honest, I don't like the design of the juste un clou items.. just like you said, they look quite uncomfortable and also weird to me..😅 I love the look of the Chanel flats, but I also prefer more pointed ballerinas.. Have a great week! :)

Hi Eileen, How are you? May I know where do you sell your things? I am looking to sell mine also. Would you please tell me what way is the best way to sell our luxury items. Thanks
Hi Eileen, u mentioned the Juste Un Clou digging into ur arm slightly, does the ring not do the same thing? I'm interested in the ring, that's why I ask. Thank u!
Hi Debra, I took my SA's suggestion and got the Cartier JUC ring a size bigger. I don't notice it as much either because it's not my daily ring, I only wear it for going out. The JUC ring is a keeper for me 😊
Hi Debra, the ring doesn't feel loose but it's not a super snug fit 😇 The extra space is really to accommodate the nail head, especially because out hands tend to swell a bit throughout the day. My SA said he's had a few customers who found it hard (and a bit painful) to remove the ring at the end of the day, so it's best to not get one in your usual size xx
All really good decisions, fashion must fits your lifestyle. I also think the last Louis Vuitton bag was beautiful, I wish I could buy it secondhand off you. Lol
Hi Eileen! I am new to your channel and just subscribed!!! Can you do a video on what industry you work in and how you budget your expenses to afford luxury?? If yo already have a video like this, then I apologize. Thank you 💕

Loved the video, Eileen 💞! Thanks for sharing your experiences and give some insights on the items you sold! And I couldn't agree more, the Chanel WOC is overpriced (thank God I already know it wouldn't work out for the amount of stuff I need to carry with me, plus I prefer different fashion houses); but you're so right, it's too small for a bag and too big for a wallet 😊. 😘

I’m confused you said the Just en clou digs into your skin whilst sleeping but you would find the love bracelet not for daily wear...not sure I understand the logic
Hi the Love bracelet was very comfortable for me, but I don't wear bracelet daily due to the nature of my work. It was just too much work having the put it on on Friday night then removing it on Sunday night xx
Where do you sell your Cartier item? I have a love ring never worn and want to sell it. I don’t feel the need of luxury ring, I need to use money in this pandemic.
Hi Jocelyn, I usually list them on my blog. You might want to check out some reliable consignment services for selling your pieces but their commission is usually fairly high xx
Not luxury, but I regret buying a zac posen eartha iconic bag. It is SO BIG. i never have and never will use it.. i didnt pay so much for it, but that was money down the drain.
Designer jewelry will never be for me. They're selling the brand. Gold is not that expensive. I'd rather make custom pieces with an indpt artist, even on Etsy.

Glad it was helpful!xx
Greetings from Spain! 🌹😘
Hello😊 Thank you for dropping by xx
Not luxury, but I regret buying a zac posen eartha iconic bag. It is SO BIG. i never have and never will use it.. i didnt pay so much for it, but that was money down the drain.
I feel you Izza! Sizing is really so important when buying bags xx
Designer jewelry will never be for me. They're selling the brand. Gold is not that expensive. I'd rather make custom pieces with an indpt artist, even on Etsy.
I've also been looking at local jewellers, they do some beautiful pieces at a fraction of the price xx
Scratches give some pieces character
No to offend you, just curious where your accent is coming from?
