100% agree, the majority of reaction videos are all the same. It's refreshing to see a older gent take time out his day to react to a music video that he'd never have ever heard if not for RUclips. You can tell he's not chasing likes and views, he seems to really try and give whoever he's listening to a chance. There's not many reaction channels around like this.
im British and a huge potter fan, since the beginning, this was an answome reaction picked up on so many things I've never seen anyone else do on this song, well done man your very good at this
Really enjoyed this reaction. Also very refreshing to hear you explain and be analytical on what’s being said. Potter is my favourite UK rapper and hopefully you can react to more of his tunes. A few more recommendations from me are: ‘Outro’ , A million £, and money or victims
Understanding how uk rap, in the broadest sense, breaks down into more specific genres can be quite confusing at first but I’ll try and give an overview for u. The first wave of rap from the uk that is worth listening to is grime. Grime emerged from the uk garage and rave scene ~2002/3 and is thus sonically distinct from “traditional” American rap, often with higher tempos and very dance/clash oriented. The originator of grime is generally considered to be Wiley who took the garage sound and twisted it in new direction. The first great grime album is probably dizzee rascals boy in da corner. Although there are many great grime albums, where I find it really shines is in the freestyles and live performances which is the format that most of the mcs cut their teeth in, especially on pirate radio. The grime scene is still active and alive, although it has fluctuated in its cultural reach. After grime there is what is loosely termed as “road rap”. (This potter song would fall under this category) Road rap rose to prominence in the mid 00s with artists like Giggs (his song Talkin the hardest being an early apex). Road rap beats are much closer to traditional American hip hop beats and has very little connection to the dance beginnings of grime. It is called road rap because many of the performers were really coming from extremely precarious lives, situations and places - all of which are reflected in the vibe and lyrics. Road rap existed more or less underground and staying with similar boom bapish beats until around 2014 when some road rap artists in south London started getting into the new Chicago drill scene, ppl like chief keef. They then crossbred the dark, ominous sound of much road rap with the rhythmic patterns and sounds of the Chicago drill scene, creating what is now called uk drill. This is now the dominant rap sound in the uk.

Potters a lyricist at heart
One song and I can definitely tell that's the truth!
Old Bailey, is Crown Court not magistrates... big boy Court.
Yeah, I know the term, but I thought it was Cockney rhyming. Thanks for explaining!
Potters done training day, training day 2 and training day 3😁 albums, this is off td1.or training day ,first album.
Gotcha! Thanks for pointing that out!
