- Our bathroom renovation is almost complete! This week Travis got the vanity hooked up, which ended up being a bigger job than he thought when he had to change the plumbing for the vanity from one sink to two!

I definitely couldn't have lifted it myself. Travis is right, you're lucky. Protect his back though.
Looks really good 👍
1. Shark Bite 2. Wife needs to sit the camera down and help w the top.
Looks great!
Thanks!
Now imagine doing the same job and finding standard 2x4 studs instead of these 2x6s. Also, code in many places require separate vent pipes for each drain, running them vertically at least 40" before tying together.
He turned into a hulk 💪
Hi, I noticed the new vanity slightly covered the vent. You may purchase an air diverted for the vent from a big box store. Just measure the vent before you go, bc they come in two or three sizes. By the way the bathroom looks great!
Thanks!
Looks good! Can you tell me how many inches is your vanity and where did you purchased it?
Sorry I somehow missed this comment, the vanity is 72 in and we bought it at Lowe's. It's called Ronald 72 in Dove gray undermount double sink bathroom vanity.
Hello! Where did you get the double vanity? Do you have a link? Thanks!
Did you screw the vanity to the wall?
Looks like you covered the hvac register on the floor too. Oops.
Home Free Family DIY everything is so beautiful and may I have a Shoutout please😀.
Thank you!! And yes, we'll get you a shoutout! 😊
I think you did it wrong the far drain needs a vent or the sinks can siphon the p traps then you get sewage gas coming up
Technically you're right, and I wasn't aware of that when I posted this video, but we have zero gurgling or sewer smell.
That all depends of how far waste is from the soil stack and if the stack itself is vented or not.
If you notice he used 2”
You wouldn't have had to butcher that vanity if you did the measurements beforehand and not just hope it all going fit lol
Also what flux does is cleaning the pipe from buildup on the surface so it will solder properly.
The solder gets pulled inside by capillary action and shouldn't need to move the fittings etc
There is fitting nowadays that have solder inside already and you can basically just heat them up, buy might need a little top up with solder.
You don't have to use such a huge pipe for sinks atleast not in the UK
We use 1" 1/4 for basisns usually, which makes it alot easier to install
Other than that it worked so not too bad for DIY
flux is to keep the pipe from oxidizing while heating it.
