If this is going to be your first visit in Lefkada, I would say go first to Kathisma Beach on the West Coast. It has all facilities and it's large enough to accommodate thousands of visitors.
It can get crowded during high season in August but there's enough space for everybody :) After you've been on Kathisma, you'll figure out what's the next beach you should visit. Lefkada has it all. wild beaches, comfort beaches, surf beaches, child friendly beaches. Quite a big number of beaches for its size. And each one is unique in its own way. I am so much in love with Lefkada that I moved here and I feel it's the best decision I've ever made :).
