Awesome info, only negative about this place is if its windy forget swimming there

The road is still closed. Stairs are built pretty solid, albait it is a scarry for someone who is afraid of heights. Because of the road is closed you should go only if you are phisically fit. Also, have some reserve of power for climbing back up. Also, rest nicely after swimming, and let your body adjust to outside temperature. Going upstairs right after going out of the water can be a bit dangorus as we observed with few people who colapsed due to the shrinked blood wessels coming right out of the water.

Didn't notice Umbrellas and chairs for lease so far on any video of 2021. Very important detail to clarify, so as to plan. Any info would be appreciated :).Headed to Lefkada in late July and know Porto Katsiki w/o umbrella/shade after 12 = Slow roasting :) Shadow from mountain goes away in the afternoon.

Update: it seems there are no sunbeds and umbrellas on Porto Katsiki this year. Bring umbrellas or go early in the morning, as there is natural shade until 1 PM. There is food and drinks delivery on the beach. Enjoy your Lefkada holiday people!

The material that they used for the steps are of low quality. We were there two weeks ago and many of the steps already have tiny holes in them. This is because there are small stones lying on the steps and when people step on those stones, they press right through the material of the step and thereby creating a hole. Roughly 30% of all the steps already have these tiny holes in them. This is already before the first tourist season started, so I guess that by the end of this season those steps will have lots of weakness in them due to the many holes per step. Other than that weakness, the stairs in themselves and how they were laid out is wonderful and a gift to all of us to make use of this beautiful beach. Oh yes, the final stretch of road (1.2km) towards the start of the steps is also closed, so one cannot drive to the end by car and have to park it on top and climb through a hole in the fence to walk down that road towards the start of the steps. This beautiful new road is closed due to falling rocks on the road. The parking space before this new road is small, so come early. Luckily most of the spots are in shade, so the cars don't get too hot during the day.

Guys, the road is still closed, been there on June 18th. You can go by foot on the road and then go down the stairs. So you can reach it but you can't go down the new road by car. I guess they are still working on fixing the new parking lot... You can park your car up the hill.

Ευχαριστω πολυ για το τοσο κατατοπιστικό σου βιντεο. Έγινε αίτια να επισκευθω ξανα την παραλια αυτη μετα απο χρονια. Μπραβο και στην τοπικη αυτοδιοίκηση για την εργασια που εκαναν. Αν μάζευαν και τα σκουπιδια απο τους καδους στον πεζοδρομο της πολης πιο τακτικα θα ηταν υπεροχοι. Αλλα για ολους και για ολα υπαρχει η δυνατοτητα της εξελιξης προς το καλυτερο.

Perfect. I was in Lefkada back in 2019, and had a chance to observe Egremni only from above. This year we come back, and the first thing I will do is a visit to Egremni, using new road and stairs. Perfect beach, perfect views, the only one thing is lack of toilet. So I may suppose, that all people do it in the water, and if they need to do a number 2, they will probably have no other way out as to seek for some bushes or something... It`s a big minus for the place.
