Good video review. This would be a great tripod for hunting, glassing, photography/video near your vehicle. But not for hiking 2-5 miles in the western backcountry, too heavy!
I know this vid is almost a year old, but I just picked up a Leofoto LVM-324C, VERY comparable to a Vortex Radian carbon fiber... I went with a leveling head. $280 for the tripod. Has lever locks on the legs.
@@snaph you can use binoculars with them, same as you could with any stick. When I was doing some long range stuff in Colorado, I carried an ultra lightweight tripod for the spotting scope and I shot off of a large bipod (I did not have Luckett sticks yet) I love my RRS tripod, but it's alot to carry for for a shooting platform.
I think the basket is meant to cover the top for camoflage. I think thats why there is a hole in the bottom to let the thread portion stick out for attaching a spotting scope. But not sure exactly, either way it works as a basket too!

I brought it recently on a multi-mile hunt but only because we had a group. Solo hunt heck no
Thank you for doing this review. This really helps with knowing the difference between those top brands and the differences you get.
Nice! ... Thanks for taking the time to inspect this tripod. I was able to gain some valuable information.
Yay! I've been wanting this tripod. Finally a comprehensive review. Nice stuff dude
It's really well thought out
Great video video bro. I actually snagged the Leupold earlier today from sportsman’s and I’m happy too
Good choice! Got a hunt this year?
@@snaph yea bud we got moose season up here in Alaska comin up

I went with the 2 vets recon v2 with sunwayfoto sm86. I'm also holding up a m99a1........
You should look up Luckett sticks.
Not as versatile as a tripod, but maybe even more stable for shooting and significantly lighter
Very nice! Can’t mount my spotting scope on them though.

@@spldrong I’ll check it out. Would love a light pack for the deep pushes
@@snaph for sure, I am thinking about trying the Hatch bipod next, it's basically just a really really long bipod.
FatBoy tripod and ball head is the new best thing. Lifetime warranty
Ha, they don't return emails.
should have considered Sunwayfoto..
The tripod is the same as the innorell tripod. I have the innorell super stable and afordable tripod.
It is, and look at the holy price difference, lol.
What about the sunwayphoto ?
Didn't see that one when I was looking. What do you think about it?

It’s to add weight for stability when you leave it stationary with glass or a camera on top. Drops the center of gravity
BEEN A WHILE 3/6/23. FATBOY V3 ? 1200
$1400 are u fing serious
Boring is right, the whole video
Slow down.
It’s pronounced “Loo-pold.”
The ball head is removable?? You can mount any head on it?? Like manfrotto junior 10 geared?
