I have read GTD and have implemented it in my life! My favourite tip for GTD is the 2-minute rule! If something can be done in 2 minutes, DO IT RIGHT THERE AND THEN! If not, THEN CAPTURE it for later! love it! I also have a video on it here on youtube :)
People often refuse to acknowledge that steps 1-4 account for 20%, but step 5 is *80%.* If you do not attempt, you do not succeed. To win, you first have to try.
Yes better, the key factor is: get your ass sit and do the thing, no philosophy can help one other way, it's just the inner consciousness to the importance work.

Amazing Book indeed. And great presentation. As usual I took notes and anyone who went through the amazing video above, feel free to use my notes. 01:29 This video is about 5 key principles of Productivity from a must read book "Getting Things Done". 02:57 We need to Keep things tidy on different realms of life (eg: work, home, school etc), at the same time we need to keep the projects on those realms (eg: projects related to home improvement) tidy as well. 03:48 There are 5 steps to achieve Getting Things Done. 03:53 1.Capture: Write down any ideas, tasks and thoughts (100% of them, even if it is your moms birthday coming next month. This 100% is important, because you build trust on your capture system). Brain is just to create ideas. Not a place to store them. 06:11 2.Clarify : Define your tasks well. Write down subtasks. Create easy steps. This stops procrastination. 07:20 3. Organise: Put stuff where it need to go. This gives an easy big picture and enables easy retrieval (eg: reference material for project could go into the project page's resources section in Notion). 07:50 4. Reflect: Do weekly & Monthly reviews. 08:01 5. Engage: Now everything that you have to do is in your system and not in the brain. So, go prioritise tasks and complete.
feel like writing things down is so simple but a real game changer. you get so much more mental clarity from doing this and it doesn't seem as overwhelming anymore!
So if you want to be productive and not waste your time while watching this video then skip to 3:48 That's when the real content starts. Thank me later.

Out of context but Ali is a celeb now . He should keep a Subscriber meet . Of course when this covid thing is gone. I am not based in UK but I am gonna book my tickets as soon as he announces a meetup .
GTD also works because it gives you the capacity to quickly scan your list of tasks and actions-literally your entire life's to-do list-and choose one action to complete right now. But you also have to complete it. Then, as soon as you're done, you have to complete something else

Dear Ali, I have been watching your videos for a while now and have taken on a lot of small changes in my habits because of your tips. Thank you for that. However, especially with covid, I have a lot of free time on my hands. I simply cannot determine what it is that I want to be productive in that day, and end up doing next to nothing the entire day. Do you have tips on how to find the things you want to be productive in and how to motivate yourself to start up new ideas?
I am a big fan of GTD, would love to see some more videos with regards to this as a medical profession - I work in mental health as a therapist and stay super busy with forms, meetings and case management efforts in addition to therapy. Would love to see a 'medical bend' to the GTD mindset. Is that in the series on Skillshare?

I definitely have to start reading GTD... Thanks Ali for pushing out these types of videos. I’ve started using Notion because of you and Thomas Frank. Both of you are such veterans in the topic and I’m always inspired by your content. Stay safe friend.
Nice info.
I think I'll call it "C-CORE". Sounds better and is easier to remember for me than "CCORE".
Also, since this is about productivity essentials, I think the word "core" is fitting.
I'm totally going to use this to try and push out content more regularly. I was genuinely sold with the statement following Capture.
Out of context but Ali is a celeb now . He should keep a Subscriber meet . Of course when this covid thing is gone. I am not based in UK but I am gonna book my tickets as soon as he announces a meetup .
Why does Ali look like he's tryna audition for the Gryfindor quidditch team😂

Me: oh it's 12p.m I'm going to watch productive video ❤😎
Thank you so much for giving such a valuable information....
Already finished the course! one of the best courses I've ever watched!
5 keys of productivity which is keeping me from being productive
Thanks Ali!!!!
GTD also works because it gives you the capacity to quickly scan your list of tasks and actions-literally your entire life's to-do list-and choose one action to complete right now. But you also have to complete it. Then, as soon as you're done, you have to complete something else
This could not have come at a better time
I am a huge David Allen fan, beautiful video sir!
Hi Ali, can you make a video on how to prep for the start of a school year? Like what systems or notebooks we should have set up? Thank you!’
LIFESAVER exactlyyyyyyy what i needed right bow
The algorithm wants me to up my productivity levels. But Ali has sought revenge, he has not attached the damned timestamps? I'm very concerned right now...
Omg you're right Ali are you ok! :P
Very timely video, I’m currently learning to implement GTD via Trello! [Learning via LinkedIn Learning]
Legend has it that Ali is still trying to be More and More productive

I just finished the first class on productivity yesterday, looking forward to following this one as well! And I'm currently reading Getting Things Done, so this video and the class couldn't have come at a better time. Great content, as always💫
I have been doing exactly the same thing without even hearing about CCORE. I feel so good now😎😂
Its just 12:46 am here and i was just studying and got ali s notification
I was like💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
12:46 AM doesn’t work. AM/PM only has a 12:00 numeric cycle. So you need to write: 00:46. Cheers :-)

Hello Ali,
Im a doctor, n battling with depression for last one year, which is affecting my productivity. Can u make some videos about ways to battle depression?
Este video me hace tan feliz porque siempre tengo que aprender algo de ti y lo aprecio mucho !!! Cuidatee
Ali the colors of the hoodie have blended in with the warmer light.
Interesting list. I particularly liked Capture as I always find that, until I physically write things down, I constantly have this worry that I'll forget what I need to do. Will definitely be applying that one more. Great vid
Hello sir two factors of learning one is understand and second is remember the how to understand topics/chapter understand quickly and what are way to understand something
Thank you so much. Genuinely, THANK YOU SO MUCH
I haven't heard a single word you said..all I did was to stare at your hoodie and was trying to figure out if that was a Gryffindor pride hoodie! 🙈😌😍🦁
Awesome stuff Ali! Love it!
Found your channel about a month ago and have really enjoyed watching your content and videos. Thanks for the content. 😃
I literally have been taking notes on Notion while listening to your videos.
Nice! A 10 minute ad for a class.
That's sweater is from a great hard school, kudos to all who made it there
Excellent video. Didn't quite understand the 3rd one - Organise. What exactly should we do?
