Analyzing Reid's play patterns, decision-making skills, assessments, etc., is honestly such a great way to improve at this game. He articulates his thoughts so cleanly, and he introduces players to really insightful thought processes. On top of that, he's just always incredibly polite and humble. Basically the polar opposite of Turtenwald.
That K command play at 9:30 was pretty neat. I would probably have shocked + shattered but this is like an entire additional card. It seems obvious now the more I think about it but many players would have missed that line.
Just watched the entire video while doing my homeworks. I love LSV, Mengucci, Nassif but Reid is so captivating to watch. Very good and professional commentary. Keep it up!
@@alessandroboscaini8424 because I can travel through time! Actually, I've noticed a weird issue about this channel. They upload a video a couple of days before the scheduled. After a short time it disappears until the scheduled time for the video to be up. Finally, I was watching (and commenting) the video before it disappeared. :)
Hell yeah! Nothing better than seeing Reid playing and learning! Also Reid, i'd love to see you do some Cube Drafting on Magic Online again because it's always great to see your reasoning and decisions while drafting as well as while playing drafting the Cube. For example, a Chaos Draft or Pro Tour Cube Draft video would be great!
Would definitely love to see more Challenges, from other CFB people as well. I think the extra 2+ rounds to a league are more enticing for people trying to excel in different formats and at mtg as a whole.
Watched this vid 3 times now, can we get another legacy grixis? Been trying to make 4 snap 4 kolagans command work in modern but it's.... It sucks without fow
Liliana’s triumph had not been printed yet...now triumph is better than edict because circumvents veil of summer (edict can make you sac your creatures but that comes up so rarely it‘s barely worth mentioning)
The flusterstorm doesn't matter that turn, opponent has nothing of relevance and based on temur delver's cards, nothing worth countering except maybe a hardcast force. It also can possibly give the impression that Reid himself has nothing, which may make the opponent play into flusterstorm later
OMG.... took me 2 hours to realise this video is 1½ years old X-D Why has RUclips suggested this to me now!? Hhahaha Realised when he "scried top" after mulliganing... lol
Anyone know why at around 13:00 he didn't crack both his Fetches and Snap flashback hardcast FoW. to counter JTMS? Seems like a much safer play than hoping Brainstorm hits anything
Question, is there a reason to play hydro/pyroblast over REB/BEB? Or is it just the cards you have or the art or whatever? Basically is there a tactical advantage?
Scarlett_Fevor Since this deck runs flusterstorm in its sideboard, being able to target non-blue spells or permanents with pyroblast could increase the storm count, although this rarely happens.
At 3:08:30, I can't see the reason why Reid opts to deal 2 damage rather than making his opponent discard with Kolaghan's Command. Could someone enlighten me?
Reid knows at this point about one Leyline of the Void in his opponents hand. With no way to cast that Leyline, that card is a 100% dead card and 2 damage may be more relevant in case Jace dies somehow and the damage plan is back on the menu
mulder1979 it wasn’t needed to win and Reid didn’t want to let his opponent know that he had it in the 75, in order to making it more likely to be game breaking in game 3
I really wish they wouldn't have put the amount of rounds in the title. When he says " the tournament is 7 rounds" that means that he loses in the top 4 and spoils it. I love Reid and his playing, but still a bummer to know the outcome of the top 4 match :(

I'm mainly a modern player, but watching and studying Reid play any format improves my overall decision-making ang play.
I am a simple man. I see Reid Duke, I click.
FFS almost 5 hours of Reid Duke playing Legacy???? Christmas came early this year!!!
I for one approve of Channel Fireduke
that surgical play at the end was sooooo clever
Reid is a treasure.

5 hours of Reid Duke? Playing a non DRS/SFM/Death's Shadow legacy list?
YOWZA!
I'd be surprised if he was playing drs
What an amazing demonstration of skill and patience. Such tight play throughout.
Oh my. Best content producer, 4 and a half hour of it. Just fantastic.
Thanks for recording nearly 5 hours of magic Reid. Really enjoy these extra long videos over multiple sittings.
*Reid Duke video*
Are you serious? Nice one!
*9-round*
Holy cow, this cannot get more awesome!
*Legacy*
BBLRAGLLLAAAAARLELILAAARGHHHHHHHHHNNDHDJD

😊
Reid is awesome. Favorite Magic Player. Like his explanations and he is a really cool dude! Thanks Reid!!
Final game on round one was so intense! I love the grindy games that end up on clock mattering.
how on god's green earth is this comment 2 days old when the video has been up for like 47 seconds??

You should have stopped at the first 6 words XD
Lol. So, let's say CFB vialed in a Flickerwisp on their end step targeting this video.
I seriously felt like a kid opening a bday present when I started this video! Those lines against Post Eldrazi were so creative. Great video!

Reid has finally figured out that we will watch any amount of him talking while playing magic after GP Richmond lol
Would definitely love to see more Challenges, from other CFB people as well. I think the extra 2+ rounds to a league are more enticing for people trying to excel in different formats and at mtg as a whole.
Never been more excited for an MTG related video, ever
Where can I donate to get Reid a mic that doesn't make buzzing sounds?
Dorgenedge Think it's his fan
Even if it is a fan, he should be able to find a hardware/software setup that filters it out, isolating only the sound of his voice.
omg yes would pay good money for dis
It sounds like the computer is in the kitchen
Doesn't bother me... its how I'm sure its Reid other than the tight plays
Did anyone else notice the title spoils the result by stating how many rounds Reid plays?
Still watched the whole thing
If you are going that far out of your way to find spoilers then you probably shouldn't be compaining about spoilers
NormalTheBand how is reading the title going out of my way?
You've also got to know how a Magic tournament works, which very few people seem to.
Great video, love these extra long ones. That game 4 was insane.
Legacy, the only format where your cantrips are so insane you are willing to protect them with Force of Will
I always love watching a very high caliber player play a very complicated format such as legacy
grixis control is such an elegant deck
love it
Four hours of Reid Duke playing magic 👌
Just sat on my wc and scrolled RUclips to kill some time... Seems like I'm gonna spend the whole night in my bathroom :/
whatching whatever you want when you are on the toilet is the biggest of luxuries. I'm glad to be alive in this era.
I really love these playing a challenge videos. Really awesome.
Man kolaghans, strix, snapcaster is great in this deck!
Watched this vid 3 times now, can we get another legacy grixis? Been trying to make 4 snap 4 kolagans command work in modern but it's.... It sucks without fow
Amazing video, very nice job, 1 of the best product on you tube/magic!
2:50:05 "Alright my friend, do your worst."
Never change Reid.
Wow great video and I learned a lot about Legacy thank you
Great run Reid!
Reid you are an astonishing player.
Great showing Reid
Love love love watching Reid play magic, such grace! =)
A real Zen player!
Man what a beast with the 7 and 0 been a treat watching him at work.
I fall in love with this deck, but i love my house too.
holy shit, how do i just find 5 hours of prime Duke content??
Don't even know anything about legacy, but it's Reid so I watch.
The title alone is pure porn
Would love to see some Jund or other GBx decks with Assassin's Trophy in the future
We love you Reid!
Great run Reid
Anyone else notice at 54:56 he put lili and push back on top, but when he pondered again at 55:07 the island was between the two?
I think the cards are revealed in alphabetical order once ponder resolves, since you're rearranging them anyway.
Oh huh you're right, interesting.
I'm filthy standard player, but why not Liliana's triumph instead of Diabolic edict?
5 hours of reid duke, sign me up
Also, 22 ads, holy cow
ads? what ads? I haven't seen an ad on youtube since 2008
Why would you play diabolic edict over liliana triumph? Legit question.
Liliana’s triumph had not been printed yet...now triumph is better than edict because circumvents veil of summer (edict can make you sac your creatures but that comes up so rarely it‘s barely worth mentioning)
@@alessandroboscaini8424 I know that....Thats why I asked........
round 4 was incredible
Would love to see a standard competitive league Reid!!!!
1:26:25 - Why did he tap out for the Angler here instead of delving more so that he could hold up Flusterstorm?
The flusterstorm doesn't matter that turn, opponent has nothing of relevance and based on temur delver's cards, nothing worth countering except maybe a hardcast force. It also can possibly give the impression that Reid himself has nothing, which may make the opponent play into flusterstorm later

Reid is just, first class.
Man I wish Reid duke would play more modern grixis or even legacy grixis again
Who else 'Likes' this video within 5 seconds of finding it?
OMG LOVE IT KEEP IT UP
legacy is the best format by far !!
1:32:00 opponent wisely did not reveal with Counterbalance vs Gurmag Angler, as there are no Island Fish Jasconius in his deck.
This deck is spicy
Reid for over 4 hours! 9 rounds :OOOOOOO
Where can I find the video Reid recorded previous to this one that Reid is talking about right at the beginning of this video, please?
in what situations would you sideboard in a surgical extraction? Against combo decks?
Will Reid running various decks through challenges become a regular thing? Cause these are really sweet.
Can you do these videos every weekend please they are great
OMG.... took me 2 hours to realise this video is 1½ years old X-D Why has RUclips suggested this to me now!? Hhahaha
Realised when he "scried top" after mulliganing... lol
I think the one down vote was due to this being Reid Duke playing a non-elf deck in legacy.
3:12:45 Voltaic Key untapping the Baleful Strix XD
Play Blood Moon in the side board next time you play this deck!
Does the audio sometimes cut for anyone else in the 6-0 match?
Hey Reid Think assassins trophy will be able to revive jund?
Whhelp, time to call in sick at work.
11:20 Snapcaster Cryptic?
Zack Z top lobster
Anyone know why at around 13:00 he didn't crack both his Fetches and Snap flashback hardcast FoW. to counter JTMS? Seems like a much safer play than hoping Brainstorm hits anything

K-com doing the work in this deck.
FIVE HOURS OF THE DUKE!!!
The best player.
"Alright my friend, do your worst" - hahhaha xD
Is there any merit to more aggressive deck thinning with this deck, or is the land count just too high?
Geeze after this and the GP, are you ready to put a basic mountain in the deck?
3:44:00 is lilianas -2 an option here?
Sweet
Only 22 ads this time. Cmon ChannelFireball you can do better than that!
I forgot why I'm unsubscribed. Thanks for reminding me.
Jesus use adblocker dude

"Ooh nice some legacy conte- AAAAAHH MY EARS"
Wow. I mean, just wow.
it sounds like your comp fan is having a stroke
5 hours of Reid??? God bless
Is this the list you ran at GP Richmond?
Connor Bynum I believe so
I think the side is slighly different... This list has one more blueblast
YES YES YES AND MORE YES
Why gourmag over tasigour?
I'm sorry I feel like I'm probably just not informed but why is the deck using diabolic edict over liliana triumph?
this video came out before that card
Why don't you play Ensnaring Bridge from your SB against Eldrazi?
mulder1979 it wasn’t needed to win and Reid didn’t want to let his opponent know that he had it in the 75, in order to making it more likely to be game breaking in game 3
Is this deck still good in legacy
