I've had this watch for 8 months now, changed the leather strap with a black Milanese - style bracelet from a smart-watch and it is simply gorgeous. Bought it on sale for the equivalent of 60 EURO. Size-wise, it's actually perfect, especially compared with it's bigger brother, the one with multi-dials (EFS-S560D-1AVUEF). The build quality is top-notch, and it is obvious Casio gave a lot of attention to making it beautiful, not just well put together. When I bought it I compared side by side with a Tissot PRX and there is no obvious build quality gap between them - the Edifice holds it's own and looks way more expensive than it actually is. I personally prefer the matte brushing combined with shiny polish of the Edifice, compared to the all-matte brushing of the PRX. I did that comparison just out of curiosity, I can't afford a Tissot PRX, but it was nice to see that one shouldn't be ashamed of their Edifice in the company of "Swiss Made". Of course, if you buy the Edifice with the metal bracelet version, the build quality gap will become huge, because Casio bracelets are crap. It's their tradition. Nice review. Keep it up.
This watch looks awesome on colorfull nato's! It really brings out the turqoise color. If you own this watch, a timex weekender and a small collection of nato straps you will never need anything else.
I've had this watch well over a year now and it's awesome, colour match date wheel, sapphire glass, the brushing and polishing is awesome, yeah the screws are a bit strange 🙄 but the brush effect on the dial and the finishing on the indecise 🤗 I have a 7" wrist so it's not to big on my wrist. Dress up/dress down I'm happy🙂👍 nice to see you back😃
I wonder if the screws are holding the bezel down? The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak patent for that has long expired. Basically, the screw on top is not real. What you are looking at on top... is the bottom of the screw. On a Royal Oak the cap is screwed in reverse with nuts going into the fake screws. This is how the screws are perfectly aligned. So it is telling you there is a screw there actually holding the bezel; but it isn't going to come unscrewed, and there is a pleasing harmony in how it is aligned. Beautiful watch, especially if Casio are doing this.
Nice review, Thomas. I have had my eyes in this one and on the EFR 108 for a while. Sapphire is a big point for me. I was hesitant about this 107 because of its size (38 would have been perfect) but I think that you have convinced me.
@Flaynn no. I bought a Seiko quartz instead. It's 41mm with leather strap. It fits perfect as it's 9mm slim. This casio is 42mm wide and thinner so it will be good too. Maybe Casio will fit better due to its curved lug. You can consider Seiko too. They are simpler and have many options. Bit costlier compared to Casio though
Thanks for this great review Tomas. Are you still keeping the newer model s108 in your collection? It would be great to see these two in the same video. Thanks for the all good content in your channel.
No, I sold it after the review. s108 is a bit smaller, has incredible looking bezel, way better then s107, but s108 has integrated bracelet which is not the best and s107 has better looking dial set.
"Hello youtube people"...I already have an efv100d. But this efr is so much better looking in my opinion. The finishing is awesome for the price point. I am very much tempted.
38-39-40mm would be perfect. But because lug to lug and slim design I guess it can fit. Also, I think better strap and brown one would suit nice. I noticed that it is missing the seconds markers? I have cheap Timex expedition that is hitting the markers perfectly. Maybe its just an angle? Btw great review mate.
@@TomasWatchReviews yes, that's why I wouldn't buy it with my tiny wrists 😂 if the 108 had a good bracelet and the beautiful teal details of the 107 I'd buy it. Maybe even better if it didn't have a seconds hand :)
@@TomasWatchReviews ok. Just one question: up to now I have had cheap straps and after 4 years they are now completely unusable because of the sweat every summer. Is It a problem of cheap straps only or they all need to be changed once every 3-4 years?
@@TomasWatchReviews Well then it qualifies for me. I don't really sleep in absolute darkness, due to living under city lights, so even basic lume can help me not to turn on my smartphone to see the time when I wake up in the middle of night. ;)
Screws screwed it up for me and I went for s108. When I got my hands on it, its bracelet felt like plastic jewelry, it was real disapointment after my tissot prs516 stock bracelet. And then I found your two reviews here. Got to say I'd buy s108 anyway but it'd be much harder to make a choice, because you actually find better words to express my feelings about these products. It'd be harder to weigh all the cons and pros. PS On that s108 vid you looked like a bit drunk, but it felt just alright even it wasnt the case :)
:D s108 older video, my English has improved a bit since then and I can speak a bit faster with less pauses between words and sentences. I look less drunk now :D
@@TomasWatchReviews As english isnt my native language, I know what you mean :) Finding people on the internet being a bit drunk is just fine these days, though ;)
Why do people feel the need to move their wrist around to show the watch when reviewing ? Hold it still so I can see it. Moving it around adds nothing.
Screws give it a cheap look, no functionality. Should be a 40mm size. Overall design taking all the non sense, would be great. If at all possible date window for thisnwatch should have been put at 6pm marker and should be of a large size.

never knew that. Interesting. I still wish they would feel more purposeful instead of being just a design element.

it does not wear big, it is not a long watch, it just looks big :)
Beautiful. Definitely going to buy. Hope it won't be big for my 6.7 inch wrist. I usually prefer watches below 40mm but man this is beautiful piece

5:43 The blue-green color is usually called teal or perhaps more accurately but less common cyan in English. Cheers.
thank you!
Brilliant 👏
Here in India, Hyundai i10 Grand Car has an Aqua Teal Color as an option and I see it regularly in my street!
Super color!

Bianchi bicycles indeed have the same colour tone and its really something special.
I do feel the same, it should be 38mm then looks so perfect on wrist. Well the present size is better dor 8 inch wrist.
You are triping bro. That watch is like made for your wrist. It looks so nice and beautiful i don't know what else can i say.The wrist shots are amazing

Hi! Incredible review! Can you please tell me the name of the strap that you are using at 10:30? I think it goes great with this watch.
Oh....
I much love this watch💕💕
And nice presentation
I've jut changed the strap to a grey nylon / textile one and its just... finished
Also, they missed opportunity to make great lume on this watch. Lume is cheap and they need to step up and bring bg9w lume to their lineup.
EFR-S567D-1AVUEF
is the same with more frills. It sometimes costs only 80 Euro in Germany.
45+mm case.. a bit too large for me :D But yes, nice watch.

I am interested to this watch, is it looks fit on my 15cm wrist ? Considering that you think it is little too big on yours

Hi Tomas! What is the name of the watch you are wearing in this review?
Thank you!

Thomas, hello. Which watch do you think is better Casio s107d or s108d?
108D is smaller, nicer bezel, but integrated bracelet feels very cheap. 107 has standard lugs, but bezel looks a bit childish with those fake screws.
Stunning watch
You sold me. Casio should pay you a commission.
They do if someone uses an affiliate link 😁
Seconds hand not hitting the markers is a no go for me...
my example hits. You might have seen it from an angle.
Great review! I wouldn't go around in public shaking your hand like that. You'll have 2 guys in white taking you away...
How much it's weight?
Which is better with the Seiko SUR311P1?
hm, hard to tell, that Seiko looks sweet, more dressy, elegant. This Casio more sporty. I might go for the Seiko this time.
Does anyone knows what movement this watch uses ? I'm trying to mod the hands for some luminous ones!
It has the 5359 movement.
What is the lug width?
20mm
Agree
Case dia?
41mm- 41,5mm
