    Congratulations, you found the gem the rest of the motorcycle community doesn't understand.. it's unique and should never be compared to any other bike outside 'Moto Guzzi'. Moto Guzzi make bikes their way.

      Amen to that. I’m gonna do a video on how the conversion happened for me because it was quite an amazing process discovering this bike…. but I’m honored to be part of the tribe of people who know what this bike really is!

    Man, you are really selling me on this bike! What a great thing to buy a new bike that is actually cheaper to maintain and you can work on it on your own too!

    • @Antmanmoto

      Yeah, it really wins hands-down across the board. I’m going to do a video speaking a little more about it as I’m breaking it in. But I just can’t wait to get on it at the end of the day… I haven’t felt like that in a long time! But I think it’s subjective completely. I’m sure somebody else might think I’m nuts. But it just hits me perfectly.

    When you mentioned that a bike does or doesn't "speak to you", I instantly realized how I have felt this with different motorcycles. It is an intangible that goes beyond spec sheets. I am signed up for a demo day at a Guzzi place here in So Cal next weekend. Looking forward to it.

      Oh, that’s great. I love how they do plenty of demo events all around the country. You know it’s all subjective and different things push people‘s buttons, but this bike pushed all of mine the right way. It has a nice gentle rumble sound when you get on the gas that is so intoxicating!

      Thank you I feel really honor to be a part of this family… A well kept secret for sure!
      I can tell this is a forever bike… It just feels like it belongs w me for real. It plugs right into what I love about a motorcycle on several levels. I just wish I would have held back on modding the Yamaha…because somebody’s getting a really nice Mt09 SP in my old one. That’s how strong my desire was for this Moto Guzzi… It canceled all of that out pretty quickly.

    Good vid. I switched from an fj09 tracer to the v85tt a few years ago. Fj09 is a great bike, but just not the same love affair the the v85tt has been. Or most bikes ive had for that matter. Got 10k miles on original tires. Switched to Heidenau scouts and got 20k on the back tire and going on 30k on the front. Daily commuter and ridden all over the country. Rock solid. Join the MGNOC, Moto Guzzi National Owners Club and hit up a local gathering. Great bunch of moto nerds!

      That’s what I’m talking about! I’ll have to look into that group for sure. Mine came with the Dunlap Trail Max tires I think they are called. Really smooth on the road and they seem to grip pretty good. I’m not pushing it because it’s winter. But I’d like to keep a good sticky, dual sport tire on it so if I wanna hit the trails, I’ve got something there. I’ve never looked so forward to getting on a bike to do a break in!

    Congratulations Sir! I could hear how much you were loving the Strada in your previous videos, so it’s great that you finally got one of your own. I’ve got one too, and I’m very jealous of your weather there; every time I’ve been out on mine for the last few months, I’ve been wrapped up like the Michelin Man, and I seem to spend more time washing the road salt off it than actually riding. Roll on spring! Just added a Givi touring screen and the high “comfort” seat to mine last week; they look dreadful, but I really appreciate being able to hear the engine and do so without cramping up. Best of luck with yours!

    • @Antmanmoto

      I hear that. I am ready for spring too. Our weather’s been treating us nice lately though. It snowed little over a week ago and quickly melt it away thankfully. It will be very comfortable this weekend and all of next week. I will definitely have her done w the break-in service by next week also. I am not going to be doing any mods to this bike…. (yeah right lol) It’s really great right out of the box. I’m just gonna ride and enjoy it.

    • @Antmanmoto
      @Antmanmoto  6 дней назад +1

      I agree with you, I'm a huge fan of the Strada! The only thing it needs that it doesn’t have is a center stand. Because that swing arm with the shaft on one side is tough to get a stand under. And I’m thinking also about travel and if I get a flat or need to switch out a tire… So I ordered one aftermarket for $175 shipped that was recommended. Other than that and a bag, I’m just gonna ride the damn thing!

    Welcome to the family, Guzzi kinda ruins riding other brands. I have a 21 travel with 23k miles.Previous owner fitted bitubo suspension front and rear and total performance upgrades. She's fun to ride. I prefer the switches and screen setup on the previous years but I understand why they changed that. Have fun, I'm kind of jealous of the black, mine is sand color pattern.

      @Antmanmoto  6 дней назад

      Wow, sounds like you’ve got some great mods… Do you have an exhaust in a flash? I told myself with this bike I’m just going to ride it. The only thing I want to get for it is a center stand because it does not have that like yours does. I think it’s pretty vital important with this bike.

    Congratulations! Your enthusiasm is contagious. This week I traded in my BMW r1250rt for a 2024 Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory se-09 sbk. My other bike is a BMW r1250gs and oddly I am looking to trade it as well. I am considering a V85tt even though I know it is not a match for the GS. I would be trading clinical excellence for a little bit of soul. I like the idea of having two polar opposite bikes. Do you find that you appreciate the drastic difference in your two bikes and that you choose one over the other on a particular day based on your mood and your desire to ride aggressively (or not)?

  • @MikeK6046

    IMO great motorcycle!!!!. BTW I "love & appreciate" Guzzi's and would love to have this exact same model, however (based on limited dealers in the US) I would never have it as my one & only motorcycle here in eastern Washington (the nearest dealer is 100+ miles away from me).

    • @Antmanmoto
      @Antmanmoto  5 дней назад

      I think the beauty of this machine is you can do most of the maintenance work yourself… I mean even valve checks are a piece of cake. This bike doesn’t have a cooling system and the oil changes are very simple. You really won’t need a dealer and you can order parts to your door in days. But I would agree if we were talking about my other bike the Tuono V4… That’s a different story but this bike is easy. You should not rule it out.

    I've rode a ton of bikes like 50ish demo bikes last year and I will say nothing gives you the feeling a guzzi does. They are truly special machines. The closest bikes that have that feeling are bmw r12/nine t, and harley and royal enfield 650s as well. The triumph 900/1200 bikes are nice and sound good but not the same feel as guzzi. Moto guzzi is the most characterful bike that is not exhausting to ride.

    • @Antmanmoto
      @Antmanmoto  5 дней назад +2

      Precisely. I couldn’t agree more… I’ve demo’d so many different bikes, triumph let me demo ride all of their models last year, and they let you take them out for some really good routes. But I would come back feeling like OK, that was fun…here’s your key back. But with this bike, the V85 Strada, when I was done riding it, I wanted to go again, and again…. and again. And then thinking about it the next days and weeks. I knew I was hooked because that’s not a feeling you get too often. I knew one day I would have it and I’m glad that day came sooner than expected!
