- Metallica perform "Iron Man" and "Paranoid" with Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne and bassist Geezer Butler. Black Sabbath originally recorded the songs for their 1970 album "Paranoid" and Metallica covered it for their 1998 covers album "Garage Inc.". Recorded live @ The Fillmore in San Francisco, California on December 10th, 2011 (the last of four Metallica 30th birthday concerts).

Ozzy has so much energy here it's just crazy. His voice is about shot to hell, but he still has the energy of someone half his age or younger. And Geezer hasn't lost a step, either.

I just think it's cool James is getting to give his voice a break, all while rocking out with so many of his idols. Remember: without Black Sabbath, we might not have Metallica.

Ozzy is definitetly the most important legend in rock music and the most influencing character in Metal.
This is an excellent example of why the UK/US are such good friends.
I don't care what Ozzy is on or if he is fucked up here; this has got to be one of his BEST appearances/performances in ages. Good for him.
Metallica all have a look on their face saying "OMFG WE'RE PERFORMING PARANOID WITH OZZY" while Geezer is just jamming like it's the most normal thing in the world. Gotta love them guys!

This is like the coolest thing MetallicA has ever done. Playing along other legendary artists!?! Ozzy, King Diamond, Halford, Mustaine, Geezer, Danzig, and many many many more! Even Ron McGovney and Lloyd Grnat showed up. Coolest concert ever.

Can tell both bands have tremendous respect for each other. Both bands were equally important to each others destiny's and current status.. I mean no Sabbath and there might not be a Metallica. No Metallica and Sabbath might have just been forgotten over time never really making much of an impact or ever getting the props they deserve. Metallica dragged Sabbath along with them and the bigger Metallica became the bigger Sabbaths Legacy in Heavy rock became..
