METALLICA / DEATH ANGEL / SOUL REBELS BRASS BAND Видеоклипы
Geezer may now be an old geezer but his fingers can still melt a set of strings!
Absolutely
Skill never leaves my friend. It's like bicycle
gods never lose their power
Don't disrespect Gods, even in jest...
Damn I hate that writing on the screen.
damn i'm so drunk i didn't evenn seen it
bull shit to cover it. with this pos name
I agree with you Smitty
Watermark
Fother
Mucker
I think that's funny
so fucking sick. Look at geezer's right hand. So good. This guy invented Heavy Metal.
+colin poitras......that he did along with three other guys from Birmingham who's names I need not mention.
colin poitras not heavy metal but Metal ozzy doesn't consider Black Sabbath a heavy metal band
colin poitras exactly,i could just watch him play basd for fkn hrs,the guy invented heavy bass.
@@briandavis9002 yup Geezer is just the GOD of bass final!
I played electric bass for about 6 years (lost interest after awhile), but his playing on The Last Supper dvd when that first came out inspired me to pick up the bass to begin with. His technique and tone was utterly awe inspiring...
Its hilarious listening to James trying to hit Ozzy's notes.
Almost as funny as listening to Lars trying to fill Bill Ward's shoes.
@@BloomingdaleTN oof
Makes you realize what a genius Ozzy was.
@@christopheralton-moonn2097 he's just got a different voice.
@@britishnerd3919 So true!! Just like Ozzy couldnt do what James can do with HIS voice! I hate people saying singers are trying to EMANATE other singers!!
Tony Iommi, THE LORD OF THE RIFFS, Geezer Butler, BADASS BASS, Bill Ward, THE MASTER OF DRUMS, Ozzy Osbourne, THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS===== BLACK SABBATH!!!!!!
The Dark Beatles =)
Ronnie James Dio = Best Sabbath Vocalist.
@@danielpaez4210 fuck off.
He's not wrong
@@danielpaez4210 yep
Geezer was wondering if his bass was plugged in!
James M i think this issue is because guitars are not playing in the #C tone.
Ya i cant hear him. I can heat rob though wtf
True
Lars forgot that he wasn't playing with Jason anymore
As a lover of the bass, it’s always a pleasure to watch Geezer playing.
geezer butler feat. metallica.
if you could keep your EGO in the lower right hand corner on future videos that'd be great.
Actually that giant hideous watermark might help with the big circle C claims
Ouch
yep without es "EGO" this video is here , other way copy claimsss
Lmao
@@bennybtv5912 shut up nerd
"Cliff Burton's hero," indeed.
Seen the proof of him wearing a Black Sabbath tee, best pic ever
It’s weird for some reason I always forget how big of an influence geezer was on cliff
@@chassy50 And on virtually every bass player in the metal scene
Just realized. Fade to black interlude = National Acrobat main riff
Fade to Black interlude = A National Acrobat main riff
The Memory Remains intro = Fade to Black interlude
@@Gunslingerwashere Metallica love doing 5-7
I was just writing that. True!
@@Gunslingerwashere actually the intro is Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
It's definitely inspired by it
Black Sabbath is the most influential band ever!!
More than Zeppelin, the Who, Metallica. Only the Beatles are more important.
I love Metallica.
But, there is something about Black Sabbath. I guess its the word SOUL. A mystical spiritual depth. No speed guitarist, no "Best drummer" in the world, can imitate soul.
BLACK SABBATH, the spiritual masters of Metal.
They are like the YODA of metal, masters with a huge depth that will last for ever.
tablatom Lars couldn’t touch Bill Ward’s drumming on the greatest day of his life, not even close
Hetfield’s voice is so off on this
Describing black sabbath as the Yoda of metal is one of the best comparisons ever
Hetfield started off as a good singer on those early albums but he has become a lazy parody he knows what ever s;;'t he sings the fans will lap it up. Still one of the best RG's in rock though.
@monokhem iron man is not the only Sabbath song, you hipernoob.
It's Geezer fucking Butler on that stage and I still can't hear the bass what the fuck
If it was Lemmy you wouldn't hear the guitar
Maybe you need to listen. I hear his and Rob's
Its the "Jason for all" mix ;-)
RIP James's Voice.
I’m not a Metallica fan by any means (don’t hate them just prefer other bands) but it seems like they have a lot of genuine respect and admiration for the bands that came before them like Black Sabbath, and I can really respect them for that. Also Geezer is such a legend, one of the best bass players in any band I’ve heard
😂 same here not a Metallica fan either. I seen them when they were nobodies and when they came out it was all speed metal. That’s when I went to the restroom and got me another beer and smoke a joint.😂-I Black Sabbath, the best
Geezer STILL plays like he's in his twenties!!!!!
Hetfield used to sing this Sabbra Cadabra pretty well, 30+ years of concerts, tours around the world, party's and all kinds of excesses obviously affected his voice, and the fact he is not young anymore
Geezer Butler...one of our own 🤟
I love Rob, he's an amazing bass player!
But compared to Geezer........ Geezer can play in slow motion and still NO ONE can match his speed and precision!
Gotta love Geezer, he shares first place with Steve Harris for best bass player EVER!
No sharing just 1st
Harris couldnt string GZR's Bass. Harris is a good player bit nowhere near the class of GZR
Don't forget what cliff was able to play
no hate on steve but geezer is just on another world
It’s not THAT big a difference. Rob and any bass player at that level can PLAY. No need to diminish one to lift up another.
god I can FEEL the bass!!! so fucking amazing seeing those two on the same stage! too bad i couldnt witness it live!
Lars never could get that shuffle down
lars could never really get drumming down
daverlb you just won my Internet for today
Yeah but his style is just core Metallica nobody could have done it better .. He's the one who gives that recocnizable metallica beat.
Yeah, amongst other things these characters didn't "get down."
I agree. Bill Ward's THE BEST.
Now you realize why Black Sabbath is the best band in the land.
🤘
Yes, because it is definitely not Metallica!
Geezer. A true master.
Happy Birthday Geezer! Thanks for making my life blessed with your music. ♡
Mr. Butler is the most under rated bass player ever.
Well, i think that you're not right
Geezer Butler "under rated" ? Not in my lifetime and I'm almost 60
How is he underrated, he always gets a mention in the same circles as, Entwhistle, Lee, JPJ, Claypool etc
He's possibly the greatest bass player in metal history and gets mentioned alongside other legends like John Paul Jones, Steve Harris, Roger Glover, Geddy Lee, Glenn Hughes, I could go on and on, so underrated is definitely *not* the right word.
Geezer, John Paul Jones, John Deacon, Jimi Hendrix's bassman, they're all heroes
Think of all the great bands that wouldn't have made it without their bass players: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Pink Floyd, The Who, The Sex Pistols, and...most certainly Black Sabbath.
***** that ain't no lie! The fact they made it...and largely because of him is still a mystery! I also defer to mrstut1tub for him mentioning Jack, Geddy, and Steve
ARE you forgetting motorhead! granted he was the vocalist and bassist but imagine motorhead with out that bass (or with a different bass player other than lemmy and that gone)
No I didn't mean to! My first band we covered Motorhead. There are so many instances in that bass players alone shaped their bands and got them signed are too numerous to mention here.
"The Pink Floyd"? dude...
Definitely! Roger wrote most of the lyrics. He left and, to my mind, I don't think they had success with the other bassist. I mean he's good! Roger's bass playing is simple, but check out the way he keeps time. There are many bands that cover Pink Floyd, yet rarely do I hear a song rendered right.
Geezer Butler is entering the stage from the right. Camera pans to the left side of the stage. Brillant.
The singing can never compare to Ozzy Osbourne. He just has a special voice
You do not get more legit than Geezer Butler playing with Metallica.
No one can play someone else music and give it a special flavor like metallica!
2 of my favourite sabbath tunes along with Megalomania.
Great tribute of METALLICA invite Geezer Butler to perform two of the hardest pieces of the famous album "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath", this album a true classic of Heavy Metal, the first I bought from Sabbath when I was 17 years old, now I am over 60 and I continue to listen to them with great pleasure and pleasure the same as METALLICA. Greetings from Bogotá Colombia
James doesn’t know the lyrics. The songs are being played too fast and lose all sense of their doomy nature and you can’t hear Geezer’s bass which is just a shame.
You know even ozzy didn't really remember the lyrics
@@gurbindersekhon8240 It might have been because of the copious piles of drugs Ozzy took pretty much daily.
@@danielh7487 no shit sherlock!!
@@danielh7487 no, he could talk clearly, we are all just to sober to understand.
Cmon you’re singing next to THE DUDE at least remember the lyrics man. Very important.
And they're Geezer's lyrics.
When did he forget them, can't seem to catch that moment
Honestly, people saying "JAMES CAN'T SING IT" have probably never listened to Garage Inc.'s version of "Sabbra Cadabra", (or watched the 1998 live version) and don't understand that people's voices wear down :D
It's not fair when you compare Hetfield to Ozzy in his prime. Of course Hetfield can't sing it. Ozzy was untouchable in those days.
You're giving Ozzy too much credit. The truth is simply that he COULD sing in those days.
I think they're playing it in the original key here which is not James' natural key. That will be why he's struggling. I don't even think the Garage inc recording was in the original key.
@Genreguru I guess youve never heard any last Sabbath concert, cuz still Ozzy could sing some lower-voice demanding songs easily. And yea Ozzy in his prime time was beast, not untouchable (Plant
They seem to play a number of tunes on Garage much faster than the originals, but I don't mind it at all. And ya know, I'm so used to hearing Metallica's version of "On the Road Again" that when I hear the original it sounds like it's in slow motion.
ya well really no one can sing like ozzy.
He's an old man with style. No name fits better than Geezer Butler 😂🤣
Those dual guitars.........awesome!!!! They are completely in sync. Geezer is royalty. Yaaaaaay!
Great Tribute Mettalica playing with Geezer of Black Sabbath , both groups at the top of the tree
Qué buena interpretación!!!!
Me volaron la cabeza!!!!!
geezer butler
Those riffs still blow my mind.
yesssssss my two favorite singers of all time!!!!
As cool as this cameo is, maybe they should have gotten Bill Ward to do drums... permanently.
Гизер- монстр металла
Metallica is great, but I really appreciate how good Sabbath is when you hear someone else do their songs.
Yep, Geezer needed it turned up ... old school Rocker ! love it ...
What a honor to play with so cool
I almost cried when he entered the stage.
What a huge honor to play with this god.
Thr greatest Bass Player to play on stage with Metallica.
how to ruin an incredible song (a national acrobat).....
ha ha
a national acrobat has such an epic riff, a nice cover but a million times more powerful with the OZ!
What a show to see.
Two of my ALL-TIME favorite Sabbath songs... even with Geezer onboard the great Metallica could not do justice to these 2 masterpieces. But funny to watch the attempt.
Geezer , my inspiration , my hero , the fucking master
Excellent audio!!! Best on YT!!! Thanks!
The master is out teaching his disciples, Geezer is the man!
Awesome !
I think i'll perform this song on my daughter's wedding day. Like 25years from now.
I love that James brought out the bullet belt for this one
Makes you really appreciate the sabbath.
I would love to see em covering some sabbath songs with Iommi
The sheer amount of low end is amazing
+Alex Rooney i fucking know it, you would think they could adjust the amps for a damn cover.
+firstname lastname Yeah, and turn the bass up louder!
love your watermark RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VIDEO. geez.
holy crap this is awesome
Man Metallica are so cool to pay tribute and respect to the master Geezer! Screw all the haters.I think they did a awesome job and sound GREAT.People like to criticize when they themselves cant sing or play shit!! Also Metallica are famous.WHO ARE YOU?!!!
wow, Kirk's rythm tone is straight outta MOP
you can tell the sound came rite from the board...great video
That is So Cool
Why don't they ever play the ending part of National Acrobat? You know what im talkin about, where Sabbath really get down on the studio version, which is the best part.
marc dewey I personally don't really like the ending, it goes from the greedy couris to a happy little solo, just my opinion
if you listen to the lyrics before that part..it makes sense.
start 2:24
So many negative comments, I'm just glad to see any them with Geezer and paying tribute to Sabbath, the logo on the screen is rather irritating however.
james agudizo un poco para la cancion, epico
Wtf que carajos haces aqui
Same question, que haces aquí dracer xd?
I keep imagining Geezer saying to ozzy :
" I don't know what was worse. James sinining Sabra Cadabra/A national Acrobatic or Metallica playing Iron Man/Paranoid "
Real rockstar in da house!
awesoooooome!!!
Where is the fuckin' "I lived a thousand times" part ??
So fucken sick wish I got to see that in person
the master out playing two guitars and a bass
great sound quality for a bootleg
what were you recording this with ??
i fucking enjoyed every single second of it.
3 years later , he sang stargazer , tarot woman and kill the king without problems.
Exactly!
Vulture In a studio with 30 takes, ha!
Metallica and a legend
Good man the Geezer Butler, good man the Butler Geezer.
Perfeito.
The brain of Sabbath yeah!!
lefamafa-eh-o-taaaaaaaa YEAH !
Cool video. .watermark is killing it.
Gotta love Rob for saying my hero but to also include Jason . Crazy in 2022, Kirk and Rob are my favs also live there side project the wedding band
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!
Terry Butler what a FKG LEGEND!!!!
5:01 the song change is legendary
man that shit was toooooooooooooo short i loved it
Best bass player Metallica ever had. 💯
Missed the lyrics "I've lived 1000 times, I've finally found what it means to be believed" on A National Acrobat.
Fucking Geezer is puting in work that's a beautiful site that old boy gets with the program on the bass.
Geezer sensacional, com metálica....
A true Brummie legend and a Villa fan too...⚽️⚽️⚽️🦁🦁🦁
I would love to see a split screen cam of Rob and Geezer matching on the bass
