I think Maserati MC12's have been undervalued for a long time. Now they are going up but I think that will be a very valuable car. Only 50 made and racing history.
Not every car needs to be a money maker. There's nothing wrong with a car being undervalued, not every car needs to be a store of money for the wealthy. Especially when it's a fun, practical and affordable car for the average Joe. Sadly fun, affordable cool cars are becoming a thing for the average car enthusiast who can't drop 50-200k at an auction for a fun car. Caring about what a car can possibly fetch at sale is a serious danger to our community, and its already done enough harm already. We don't need every interesting car to be "worth money" for the next sale. However, the MC-12 is one that will simply because of the low number
I was waiting all the time for someone to mention it… I think MC12 (Corsa) is going to be up there for sure. Super limited with, as you said, racing history is the material legends are made of.
I was at the Mille Miglia last year, and the cars that do the rally actually have teams of mechanics waiting for them at the overnight sections. Having seen how they operate, I’d concur you are unprepared! Haha
Brilliant. Tony on form, just himself. DEFO do a road trip. Convertibles ‘toy/ third car’ vibes so sensible budget. Few challenges and Shmee comes at the end and declares the winner!
50:00 The guy that said zonda is correct, partly because its low volume, but mostly because its beautiful like every other big money car ie gullwing, 250, f1 etc
43:45 did you get missed out on the launch invite? I don't think it's a looker at all but I can appreciate his approach. But also given your perspective on Koenigsegg, I can understand how you're not a fan of the T50. 🙌 At least you had some appreciation for the under-appreciated Lexus GSF, unlike Tony who hates everything he wouldn't have himself or that doesn't have a "premium" badge - "it's just a Ford" - comes to mind haha.
Good stuff. Noticed you were 59th at end of stage 2. Looking at many of the other much more modern powerful Ferraris running, not bad. Interesting to see where you finish & watch the vids.
What a fantastic episode again Sam! Love the rate my ride section and it was a seriously intresting main topic this weekend! My personal top 3 big investment-cars would be: 1. The Spyker C8 Aileron(Spyder) 2. The Gumpert Intenza Emozione 3. And at last the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante I think those are 3 outstending cars with a seriously cool design, extreme low production figures, outstending specs and an extremely interesting background story. What are your toughts about those cars?
Aston Martin Victor, Lamborghini Aventador Jota, McLaren P1 GTR, McLaren Sterling Moss SLR quite a few were missed. Always an great listen though. Keep it at 🤙🏽
I can see in 60 years Bugatti La Voiture Noir being €100+M, it's one of one, celebrates the old Bugattis but being based on the new Chiron and Veyron/Chiron will be looked upon as legendary, apparently it sold for 18M so it would be the car that would need to appreciate the least as it's the most expensive new one As for race cars Mercedes-AMG Petronas W11 with the DAS system, one of most dominant ones etc is a great shout
I love how when things are live 99% of people who are presenting change to suit their audience ….. Tony doesn’t give a fuck!! 😂😂😂 he’s the 1% great episode!
What about the McLaren P1 Carbon Edition? The normal P1 is already special and there are only 5 carbon edition P1's in the world. Might be really valuable in the future.
Pre-war stuff can also sell for big money; Bugatti, Dusenberg and Hispano-Suiza all spring to mind (especially the Type 57SC Atlantic, which last sold for $30M. I dare say if one came up for sale again it would easily blow past the 250GTO; hell, bidding would START at the 250GTO sale price).
Obviously wasn't at the live show, but the Pagani Zonda R could be the future $100,000,000 car in my opinion, less than 10 Rs (not revolucions, specifically the original zonda Rs) has a controversial history. Seems like the perfect car to spike in value that high. ( Typed this before the guy said zondas as his opinion)
I thought the buyer of the slr doesn't get to own store it, it stays with Mercedes. In the article I read they also calculated how many a45s' you could buy for that amount and shocking was an understatement.
lamborghini sesto elemento would be my multi-million gamble. my question is will manual cars plummet in value when no one can drive them anymore as the next generation all learn to drive in auto EVs?
Key to big money cars Age Genuine Motorsport History(not just a rich man's track day toy) A Great Story/Linked to a famous driver or engineer. Gonna go left field and say some of the LeMans raced Ford GTs
I think our generation of super/hypercars just wont be here anymore in 50 to 60 years.. the technology is so precise , complex, incredibly expensive and can't withstand things as older cars did... Cars from the 20's to the 60's practically have bulletproof design and engineering, cause it's simple and easy to work on for everyone, thats why they keep running. I can't see our generation of cars last more than 30 years, especially electric cars
I think cars that will go up in value in the future will be the lightweight drivers cars, once electric is the normal, and fuel is still around. I can see lotus's, caterhams, janarelly (neech but my favourite car) and cars like that being very much sort after with your only option being heavy and abit soulles EVs from new.
I think Maserati MC12's have been undervalued for a long time. Now they are going up but I think that will be a very valuable car. Only 50 made and racing history.
Yeah actually they are FIA GT Champions I think
MC12 > Enzo

I thought someone was going to mention it after mentioning the CLK GTR and 911 GT1…
I was at the Mille Miglia last year, and the cars that do the rally actually have teams of mechanics waiting for them at the overnight sections. Having seen how they operate, I’d concur you are unprepared! Haha
This episode was a banger, one of your best! Brilliant interaction, so much fun. Keep it up please!
Brilliant. Tony on form, just himself. DEFO do a road trip. Convertibles ‘toy/ third car’ vibes so sensible budget. Few challenges and Shmee comes at the end and declares the winner!
Better, shmee comes at the end and only sayy 'cheers'
Tony is the car world version of Roy Keane
Roy Cropper!!
I think the Aston Martin victor if sold will be sold for millions. 1 of 1 and it will still look stunning.
50:00 The guy that said zonda is correct, partly because its low volume, but mostly because its beautiful like every other big money car ie gullwing, 250, f1 etc
That was me who suggested that haha thanks
intro was epic, should do this for every live
2:49, nah we like the honesty. Never change Tony 😂
2 cars to go up - clk gtr & the 911 GT1
Congratulations on the 50k subscribers. Never mind it's come 6 months later than wanted 😄 Great episode as always 👍
All Behindtheglass episodes are great. But this is an 11/10, easy! Can't wait to hear the 1000 Miglia episode
What a great turnout and that E type 👏🏿
Amazing fun! Always love the BTG content and the live sessions are even better!
This was a brilliant morning, thanks Sam and Tony and everyone who came for bringing such good vibes
You two are absolutely brilliant and Tony was on form. Had me laughing out loud.

I think you are wrong about the T-50, I have a feeling this will be a very special car in years to come
Loved the live show! Can’t wait to go to the next one! Was a please to meet you guys 🙌
Aston Martin Victor, Lamborghini Aventador Jota, McLaren P1 GTR, McLaren Sterling Moss SLR quite a few were missed. Always an great listen though. Keep it at 🤙🏽
Brilliant episode, can’t wait for Tony to roast my 340i in September!
I loved it 🤣 so much energy in this one
this was so good. thanks for the laughs guys.
50,000 subscribers and no doubt 100K on its way with more meets!

CLK GTR and Porsche 911 GT1 they will absolutely shoot up in value even from the millions they are worth atm.
Love the new intro
There’s the Zonda in socal that’s yellow that Doug reviewed
E46 m3 csl will be worth an insane amount in the distant future
Awsome show guys. Waiting here about vintage ferrari event.
I love how when things are live 99% of people who are presenting change to suit their audience ….. Tony doesn’t give a fuck!! 😂😂😂 he’s the 1% great episode!
Well done as always
38:15 “you lost a lot of ts there” hahahaha
Great Episode!

Absolutely adore the classic 500
Amazing episode

Nice 280 SL. Denver, Colorado represents!
F40? Last car Enzo signed off. Surely first modern £100m car. Or, the Rolls boat tail? Costs $30m now!
If Sam were to win the Mile Miglia then his 360 Modena would be the most valuable car in 60 years time.
great episode, big laughs!
This is so good !

Worth the wait!
Porsche 911 GT1 but the Gen 2 with the round headlights are already huge money and will end up £40 million, Ferrari 288 GTO will end up £10 million+
1:03:25 lmao all those Hamilton fans upset.
I thought the buyer of the slr doesn't get to own store it, it stays with Mercedes. In the article I read they also calculated how many a45s' you could buy for that amount and shocking was an understatement.
Road legal Bugatti Bolide !!! 👀 😎👌
Rimac Concept one, THE First EV Hypercar !!! Now only 7 after Hammond !! 😂
That little chocolate 500 has to be the star of the show sorry, What a brilliant little thing. Awesome.
Aston Martin Victor seems like a shout
I would say Carrera GT rebodied by Zagato could be reaching millions in a few years …
I said it on the podcast but I still do think the 360 stradale will go up in value more than it has.
Bore off lmao, love that term
Q - modern v modern classic - the TOTAL ownership costs over 3 years ? Inc depreciation and interest or upkeep and resto
Is the “bomb” still current term used in London/UK , I can’t remember how many years since that’s been popular in the States
Just seen your car on you tube (612). Hope you made it.
Tony going severely bald and talking about others hair cut....that s tony in a nutshell🤷♂️
Goh o be ar! You lost a lot of ‘t”s there Tony! 😂
Did you drop the F1 episodes because of the results?
No, he wasn't in town. Said he doesn't like zoom style podcasts
Don't get you two sometimes, The LFA has to be the best sounding V10 ever if not the best sounding car ever built. And a beautiful one to look at.
It doesn't have a cup holder
@@WickedSpade Who gives a f**k when something sounds as good as a LFA.
@@WilliamStevens007 not to mention the quality of the interior is pretty shit. Its just a fancy toyota
@@WickedSpade Really, OK. Whatever.
Looks awesome 👏 👏
Bugatti EB112
Surprised no one mentioned the Aventador J
1 of 1 and sold "new" for $2.8
how do you not know what a silvia is
Aston Martin Victor
The most valuable car would be your own car with sentimental value that’s priceless
wow the crowd & cqrs
Tony at some points was a bit awkward. I get it for shock value but at some points there wasn’t even a need for it. Little bit hard to watch.🥴
Alfa Romeo Disco Volante will be there or there abouts in price terms
lamborghini sesto elemento would be my multi-million gamble.
my question is will manual cars plummet in value when no one can drive them anymore as the next generation all learn to drive in auto EVs?
7:06 this is all you can say about BMW M4 ??? Is a nice color ! Seriously ... unsb
NSX mk1 could be worth a few million one day but not 100
Ronaldo didn't buy the la Voiture Noire. he bought a centodieci.
Tony had a bad day

Mercedes CLKGTR?
The Alonso being slow due to age comment really didn’t age well as we’ve just seen the results of the Canadian gp quali hahah p2 baby
If BMW ever sells the 1 of 1 E31 M8 it will be a $50mil car. Maybe more.
Mclaren speedtail for future expensive car..?
How do all these people afford these cars man haha thats crazy!
Ferrari 575M and 599 manuals.
Tony just hates everything British built apart from the defender, which is probably the most overpriced car of all time! I still like them though😂
Reupload?
Aston Martin one-77 or Vulcan
Monza SP1
Specced a Ferrari tailor made car last month, hundreds of colours, including many unique. You decide not Ferrari
F50 GT
Tony is like a 75 year old woman in a mid 50’s mans body
288gto will easily be a $50million car, only 272 ever made ....
These guys don't know what is a Silvia s15 ????? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
If his license was expired why can’t he just renew it before he left for Italy ?
I can't read.
