- What i feel is good parenting. .. this definition can change from person to person.. but my take on what is great parenting is not about what the parent does but about what the environment in the home feels like...
It's high time that parents should give great importance for individuality nd also give respect to their children as they r giving for any others in the house or elders..it's so bad that there was no such parenting tools or no classes or workshops..for our parents..let the coming generation has wonderful parents who can grow along with the child...lots of love nd respect for u swathy mam for sharing such contents nd ideas that really make us think...❤️

കുറച്ച് ദിവസങ്ങൾ മുൻപ് എന്റെ ഒരു relative auntyയും 8thഇൽ മകനും വീട്ടിൽ വന്നു. വിശേഷങ്ങൾ പറയുന്ന കൂട്ടത്തിൽ online class ഉം school ഉം ഒക്കെ കഴിഞ്ഞ് കുട്ടിയുടെ height ഇൽ വന്നെത്തി.
Aunty പറഞ്ഞു "എന്തു പറഞ്ഞാലും കരച്ചിൽ മാത്രം ഒള്ളൂ. ആൺകുട്ടികൾ ആയാൽ ഇങ്ങനെ ആണോ വേണ്ടത്? Height ഉം ഇല്യാ. ഇവന്റെ class ലെ കുട്ടികൾ ഒക്കെ നല്ല ഉയരം ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ട്. ഇവൻ മാത്രം ആണ് ഇങ്ങനെ.. വീട്ടിൽ എല്ലാവരും അത്യാവശ്യം ഉയരം ഉള്ളവരാണ്. ഇവൻ മാത്രം എന്താണാവോ ഇങ്ങനെ ആയി പോയത്"
Aunty ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ കുട്ടിയുടെ മുഖം മാറിയത് ഞാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു. "Height ഇൽ ഒക്കെ എന്തിരിക്കുന്നു aunty" എന്ന് ഞാൻ മറുപടിയായി പറയുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ഒരു parent എങ്ങനെ ആയിരിക്കരുത് എന്ന് ആ aunty എനിക്ക് കാണിച്ചുതന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങൾ especially parents പറയുമ്പോൾ അത് കുട്ടികളുടെ confidence നെയും parents നോട്‌ ഉള്ള അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തേയും വളരെ അധികം ബാധിക്കും.
It's so sad when parents body shame children. Thank you for sharing that. We all get to learn from others experiences.

Can't agree with you more. Every night when we put our children to bed, we say to them 'you are beautiful, you are important, you are precious and we love you'. Unconditional love is important, in this very conditional world.

I really loved your concepts and have read a lot about it but when it comes in practicality I incline to the traditional way!!
For example in unconditional love:
How can I not show my disappointment if siblings are being rude
How can I not show my bad mood for the rest of the day when they donot get ready on time or donot follow their time table?
How I light up when they are neat n tidy, do their work and make healthy choices.
Or probably I have not understood enough on unconditional love Please help me understand!!

And what if the child keep on doing naughty things and in no way it is possible to make them understand what is good or what is bad?
