this was the same car that i used to play often on Gran Turismo PsOne, it earned me a lot of credits to buy other cars, it's such a well balanced sports car
BioBen it's still fresh on my mind about those days, I know it's funny but half of my daily-driving skills I owe to the Real Driving Simulator, Gran Turismo every car was unique it's up to you what car best suits you :-)
Just came to this video from playing GT2, and I knew the first comment would be about video games. Anyway, yes, once the HP limits are out of the window, this is what I very often use in GT2&3.
MANZ HAD A R34 AS HIS DAILY CAR BACK WHEN HE LIVED IN TOKYO. TRULY I CAN SAY THAT THIS GUY WAS BLESSED TO LIVE IN THE GOLDEN ERA OF JAPANESE CARS IN MY HONEST AND FAITHFUL OPINION.
Sam Bass, RIP (1961-2019). The signature of the Pennzoil livery in the pre-Shell era in the late 1990's was based on Mr. Bass, a Charlotte artist who specialised in motorsport art (programme covers and car liveries). When Pennzoil decided to sponsor the late Dale Earnhardt Snr's NASCAR team, Earnhardt's close friend Bass was called to design the livery. The livery with the progressive black striping (tilted a few degrees in NASCAR) allowed him to do an INDYCAR version, and this NISMO GT-R carries the inspiration of Sam's design.
@@ooohhenrybmblm But we do miss Sam Bass and his work. Sam had a way that made late 80's, 90's and some 2000's liveries stand out with paint, not vinyl. His Miller Beer, Corporate DEI that started as a Pennzoil livery, Jeff Gordon's Axalta work for his entire career, and other well loved designs are timeless.
Gran Turismo baby!!! I would never have know if it wasn’t for the GT series. My car knowledge is higher because of the games. Amazing watching this. GT7 the car is back. Can’t wait.
Two of my favorite race cars ever, and based on two my favorite road cars ever as well. Also, fun fact (though also kinda depressing for me as an R32/R33/R34 GT-R enthusiast), Nismo could have won a third consecutive championship in 2000 with the Loctite Zexel GT-R and came within 6 points of doing so (they were leading the points going into the final round, but underperformed and were overtaken by the #16 Mugen/Dome team), and in fact may have even been able to get 4 in a row (if they hadn’t slightly underperformed in the 2000 season finale) by also winning in 2001 (they lost by just 5 points, all they needed was to win the final race of the season rather than finish 2nd in order to win on a tiebreaker)…
It's unfortunate how valuable these cars are now compared to 90s-early 2000s, and because of this no one dares to race them at max speed because they're afraid to crash it. Group C was another example of this, the R92CP or the Sauber C9 scare everyone away.
I worked 2 years for nascar and that included circuit racing at sebring, daytona road course, road Atlanta as well as the homestead miami speedway roadcourse. I asked one of the team mechanics about awd cars in racing an he told me that rwd cars ruled and tons of cons of awd cars. Till this day i dont quite comprehend what he meant. All i can think is maybe these guys are in a different category. Some one please shed light 😊 God bless
my childhood poster car and idk why but the livery made me love it even more and remember it even now when im 32 that yellow and black combo is so good
I don’t know what it is but I can’t drive this car for shit in GT7🤷🏽♂️ idk what it is but it feel so stiff no matter what i adjust on it🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
I'd pay just to fully re-live the JGTC era of the 90s. Seeing that R33 makes me so happy.

ah nostalgia :)

@@rever1691 My parents are afraid to ride with me because of GT2. I always make a turn in the fastest line possible without even noticing.

Lived in Japan when the R34 debuted. Sat in a brand new R34 20 years ago. Been a Nissan fan since.
Wow, you're old.. Hello Sir, how are You?
Have You had your breakfast?

I wish for more NASCAR-inspired liveries in Super GT.

I am in love with this nismo since in GT2😌💖
The best racing livery ever! Also Érik Comas is a legend 👍👍👍
This makes me miss my R33 GTR, I should have never have sold it. One day I'll track it back down!
Gran Turismo baby!!!

I remember first time playing Gran Turismo 2, I'm mostly using Pennzoil GT-R , tweaking it, & got right setup, that thing is a rocket
FINALLY Gran Turismo 7 brought me here! LFG
The man, the myth, the legend
Legendary stuff

As a fan of Japan's racing series Super GT, I enjoy the show.
Any plans to broadcast and comentate old superGT races?
I'd love to do some kind of retrospective thing
Seeing the Pennzoil past the Castrol GT Supra is something you can't make up!!!!
Awesome cars. Great that you were able to interview the driver also. Keep up the good work.
👏😚エリック・コマスだぁ〜❗日本で!監督やらないのかな?
En gran turismo 2 fue uno de mis favoritos por su potencia y desempeño en el juego
Thanks to Ayrton Senna, who saved his life. If he didn't save Erik life, Erik wouldn't won 2 JGTC titles.
I would take home the R-33
The rear aero on the R33 is just bananas!
And not just because it's yellow...
hahaha :)
Finally will back in gt7 with castrol toms supra
ペンズオイルカラーのGT-Rはめちゃくちゃカッコ良かったなぁ(´∀`,,人)♥*.
コマス監督で新チームつくって欲しいな。
More..... that's all I can say really.. more... more external shots more raw onboard footage...

Nascar owns IMSA so we would work and are a part of road course events for WEC and the weather tec sponsored events just an FYI
the JGTC/Super GT GT-Rs are RWD by regulation.
Fucking beautfiful, reminds me of GT4 And GT6
"NO TRACTION CONTROL" ON HIS PRIME - 🥶🥶🥶
The man that got safed by the legend Ayrton Senna
Hey, NISMO TV can you make a video about the Nissan skyline R34 xanavi JGTC car.
I think NISMO TV should make more vids about cars...
PS1 GT2 favorite car:)
Ofcourse after Toyota GT-One.
my childhood poster car and idk why but the livery made me love it even more and remember it even now when im 32 that yellow and black combo is so good
You should’ve asked him what he felt lwhen Juichi Wakisaka overtook him on the last corner in the last lap of Round 3 back in 2003. 😂
Man I wish they still covered super GT instead of just F1 content.
The car that killed toyota's only hope. The supra. And regained Honor to nissan
If these cars were 4WD, I wonder what their front/rear torque distribution was.
I don’t think they were but probably 50:50
I win on lemans weet dis super car y love nissan 😊😊😊 gt7 ps4
Gt4!
The headlights were wrong, and the AUTOBACS logo wasnt on top of the car number. Not exactly like the car from the game
Eric comas au japon ahaha
You didn't mention anything about the cars..... At all.
lol, introduced the cars prior to the driver
Tfw you win with weight penalties
