      @pancakes8670 24 дня назад +117

      Exactly. Thats called the "cycle of abuse". Abusers were often abused themselves, and have a distorted sense of whats normal because of it. A good example in Vivziepops work was Angel Dust constantly sexually harassing Husk. He didn't mean to be creepy like Val acts, Angel just didn't have a sense of personal boundaries. Lucky for Angel it turns out Husk really cares for him and was able to help break that cycle.

    I think what might happen is that Andrealphus will indeed try and kill Octavia, and when Stella will realize that this is his plan, she will also realize that, even though she doesn't care much about Octavia, she cares enough about her to not want her dead, and she will try to protect Octavia from him, and this will make her evolve and change, even if just a tiny bit.
    After all, we don't know what happens when Octavia is living with Stella alone on weekends. They probably ignore each other, but maybe that without Stolas there, Stella actually had to acknowledge Octavia instead of making Stolas do everything all the time, and she might have a newfound affection for her daughter now that she actually interacted with her.

  • @HaughtyToast

    My theory is that Stolas, Andrealphus and Vissago are all half-brothers, with Paimon being a common father and their mothers being different, while Stella has a different (non-royal) father making her Andrealphus’s half-sister. This is backed up in the episode with Stolas’s childhood where Paimon states that he has multiple other children, enough that he needs reminding which one Stolas is. This would give her a slightly different view on cheating since her mother would presumably have cheated on her father with Paimon, which would make her blowing up at Stolas make some sense, not only did he do the same thing to her that her mother did to her father he didn’t even sleep with someone of high rank the way her mother did.
    For Octavia my current speculation is that Andrealphus will try to force her into marrying him once Stolas is dead. This would make sense because as the precautionary heir to Stolas she would be expected to birth a new precautionary heir in the event of her father’s demise. This would give Andrealphus a legal route to inheriting Stolas’ estate and he could easily have Octavia disposed of once she’s produced the precautionary heir. This would also give Stella an opportunity to partially redeem herself by realizing she doesn’t want her daughter to suffer the same fate of being the breeder in a loveless marriage.

I think that would be the best route to go with for Stella, because it would help diversify her cast. You NEED some characters to be just plain bad or just plain good to help balance out the ones that are on the morality spectrum.
    Viv has the good side of the morality spectrum already with Moxxie and Millie; despite being guns for hire, they are generally good people and easy to get behind. Queen Bee could also fit in this category. Then you have people like Stolas and Blitz who would be in the morally gray area, either gray heroes or anti heroes but gray nonetheless. And then to round it out, Stella and her brother along with Mammon and Moxxie's father.

      Where would you put Fizz and Ozzie on the morality spectrum? The worst thing both of them have done is being hypocrites for being a couple in love, but openly making fun of the M&Ms and Blitz & Stolas at Ozzie’s night club. Yet, we’re shown that Fizz & Ozzie have kept their relationship secret, for the most part, to protect Ozz’s status as the king of lust.

    • @TheRibottoStudios
      @TheRibottoStudios 23 дня назад +1

      @StarViewer68 I would probably put them as gray heroes, somewhere in the middle, but above Blitz and Stolas.
      So like this:
      Bad = mammon stella striker paimon andrealphus (or however you spell his name), DHORKS, CHERUBS
      Gray heroes leaning good = fizz and Ozzie, I'd say maybe Verosika
      Gray heroes leaning middle = Loona, Queen Bee,
      Gray heroes leaning anti hero or bad = Blitz, Stolas
      Morally good = Moxxie and Millie, Octavia
      What's good about shows like this and Arcane is the spectrum can shift. Whereas Vi was on the gray scale leaning good, now as an enforcer, she could go good or towards anti hero to suit her own agendas. Whereas Jinx was smack dab in the middle, now she's just bad it's hard to sympathize even though you understand why she did what she did. I love writing like that.

I liked Stella as a villain at first because they showed her as someone dangerous that they could expand her character on and then they dumbed her down to an insulting level. If I had to guess what will eventually happen with Stella, it would be that we will get an episode that starts with a flashback to the childhoods of Stolas and Stella alike, which will start with them seemingly being exactly alike in the way they act, but drifting further and further apart as they are influenced by those around them.
    The first big difference that has at least been partially confirmed is that Stolas, from a very early age, was instilled with a sense of responsibility -- was told very early by Paimon that he would be Hell's astrologer, with the only duty of that position Stolas wasn't looking forward to being his marriage to Stella.
    Since Stella has no title at all, and by extension, no position, we can probably conclude that marrying another Goetia was the ONLY thing she was told was expected of her. So while they were both instilled with a sense of responsibility as children, Stolas's responsibility was to be studious, observant, and diligent, whereas Stella's duty began and ended at (and it won't surprise me one bit if this is the actual line used in the episode) "Get fucked".
    The second would be who they had supporting them growing up, and it makes perfect sense that Stolas would have a lot of contact with Vassago, who the Lesser Key of Solomon (take a shot) describes as "to declare things Past and to Come, and to discover all things Hidden or Lost". This would put him in the same department as Stolas, who has been told to study the sky and stars for the prophesies they hold.
    In contrast, Stella's confidant was Andrealphus, who appears to have no real ambition except to move up the ranks of the Goetia. So while Stolas had a friend with "a good nature" who could give him good, or at least honest insight whenever confided in that kept his (for lack of a better word) humanity preserved, Stella was constantly being advised by Andrealphus to embrace her darker thoughts and urges to become more cruel and uncaring.

    She didn’t say whatever unit it soon meaning it could be after season two as of the series wants to go into more depth with other stuff they already establish, but haven’t shown yet in the series so most likely we will see in season three at most. A while back people are saying Stella in the scenes was off character. Due to the way, her brother acted but keep in mind. She’s around someone she feels comfortable with someone. She feels vulnerable to meaning the way she’s acting in. That scene is the way you would act with one person you know safe for example in their situation, brother and sister she’s acting like a child and that even if it seems childish she is used to getting her way with him meaning he’ll at least allowed her to do whatever she wanted, but still used her in someway growing up meaning he wasn’t always a good person. He would kind of like hand things to her for example but only because he wanted something out of it and I think that’s what we were seeing in the series.

    My theory is that Stella was largely raised by her brother Andre. I don't think their parents were in the picture much or at all. The neglect made acting out violently a coping mechanism which became a personality trait.

    Absolutely, my first impression was that Stella had legitimate reassons to be furious-- especially as someone forced to marry someone she doesn't like and have his child-- and that that fury was just exaggerated and made overt to fit the setting and tone of the show. From Stolas's perspective, she's just being evil to be evil. But we've seen how socially and emotionally deaf Stolas can be and how he tends to romanticize things in his head.
    Octavia's attitude toward Stolas was the major thing that convinced me that we aren't seeing the full picture, because she seems to only blame Stolas without ever even talking to and barely mentioning Stella despite being clearly aware of Stella's attitude and treatment of Stolas.

    I think Stella could end up having a lot of depth despite appearing very shallow in the earlier seasons. I’m glad we’re getting a backstory on her to see her side of things regarding the arranged marriage since it’s likely she was as against it as Stolas was. I also love the idea (though unlikely) of her & Striker developing a sort of romance since it would force both of them to face their own skewed ideals of the other (Stella thinking less of the lower class/Striker hating the royal class). In Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, when the past is revealed, the character's parents appear innocent but are forced to arrange marriages. It's interesting to see how the villains turned out to be good at first, affecting their children's upbringing with both negative and positive impacts. For instance, Lucifer and Lilith's past before the fall, meeting, and later giving birth to Charlie sparks many theories about the main character's family dynamics and how their behavior changed after having kids.

    After watching this video and some others of yours about this some days ago, I came to the conclusion that Andrelphus is seeking what the Habsburg gained back then on Earth. And by that, I mean how the Habsburg went from the Count at the eastern frontier of the barely united empire that is neither Roman or holy to the King of Spain that also ruled much of the New World and the Philippines, and later, the Kaiser of Austria and King of Hungary. And they usually gained these titles and those lands by marriage alliances but also through committing acts of betrayal like in all classic and typical schemes like most of the European nations back then as well. And if it is necessary, through wars of succession.
    So what do you think?

    My overall idea of Stella’s story is this. She was born, raised by the servants, engaged the second they could manage, and basically kept alive until that day with her purpose being the only identity she had. This caused her to have a very isolated life causing her to act out for attention. The problem is the combination of her high status and the fact that anyone who can discipline her has basically washed their hands of her made her develop a bratty personality. On top of that a lack of a significant upbringing means she lacks in quality herself, It would be easy for an abusive partner to take advantage of her. Because of this, the child of her family how was actually raised with some care (Andrealphus) is using some supposed love she craves to get ahead in his world. He plans on using her with flattery and promises of success to getting Stolas’s job and will throw the clearly bitter EX under the bus at the first chance, and Stella is too dumb and too vain to even see it.

It would be interesting if she only got so angry because she was forced to adhere to the expectations of the Goetia when she was already fond of Striker. So when Stolas got with Blitzo it was salt in an old wound but also opened up her ability to reach out to Striker and help him out without suspicion. It just feels like Striker has some sort of background with Stella and Stolas. In Western Energy, Stolas was standing in front of Stella while getting shot and if Striker had hit Stolas he would've also hit Stella which is why I think Striker missed several shots on purpose and swapped to a lasso instead of continuing to use his guns.

    Lacking some hereditary superpowers like Stolas's star magic could feel really bad in its own right- being purely a broodmare.
