Unlike the rest of the angels the 7 Sins are themed after a circus troupe with Lucifer being the Ringmaster. This is why his family line is white, to emulate the greasepaint clowns and performers use in the circus. So either his appearance was part of the troublemaking that heaven accused him of and cast him out for, or all of the 7 Sins had forms different to the ones they currently reside in and only got the circus troupe look from whatever cosmic force dictates what people transform into when they appear in hell.

Anyone ever wonder why so many demons were at the hate Blitzo party? I think its because like verosika was hinting at it was to heal, demons can't cry or be vulnerable in hell so they come to earth once a year to let out their feelings and be more vulnerable instead of running around messing with humans even though its Halloween and the humans wild think they were just in costumes

Honestly, I think that party was more about Verosika wanting to vent and hold on to her resentment longer than actually helping other demons heal from the pain Blitz actually caused. I say that because she only saw Stolas as an ex of Blitz, not knowing really what their relationship was like for either of them.

My understanding is that in Hell you can largely do as you please, mostly indulging your vices. The few laws are mostly in place to benefit the Royals and keep humanity ignorant. Side note does anyone think Heaven and Hell have an agreement to keep humanity ignorant of their existence?
I imagine that after his initial fall, Lucifer was a more active ruler, but over the eons, as his cynicism grew, he delegated more and more to his fellow royals. By the present, presumably after Lilith left, Lucifer has been reduced to little more than a figurehead who just wants to be left in peace.

I largely chalk up how nice the hellevater is in episode 7 with it being the nice hellevator. We know that it isn't the only one thanks to crimson's premier episodes and the one that helicopter took wasn't anywhere near as nice from what we saw. So most likely their are several other hellevators each with different degrees of niceness and maybe even soecialize in transporting certain things. It sincerly give me the sensation that, outside of the most general cases, like Sinners not leaving the Pride Ring, Hellborns having limitations traveling to Earth and maybe possible offens against the Goetia, most of the laws are present from the Greed Ring going down because of the big cities built there and the kind of ruling used there (which seems mostly capitalistic by looking at Greed, Lust and Sloth being big economic empires).
Pride is basically a lawless wasteland because Lucifer (and Lilith) seem to have always approached Sinners trying to inspire them to be better (and failing) instead of imposing stuff, which allowed for Overlords to rise in power while Hellborns stay mostly in Imp City, Wrath is an harsh desert where Satan (who probably acts as sheriff) leaves is Imps do their own things and Gluttony is a vast jungle with Beelzebub focusing more on throwing parties for her Hellhounds.

  • @Bubbasdumbscience

I assumed it would’ve been the sins dictating the laws, but that raises the question of who’s responsible for the goetias? They’re co governed by Ozzie and Paimon but they live on every ring.

    • @victoryangel29
      @victoryangel29 17 дней назад +15

There are 9 kings, so Goetias are certainly Co-Governed by Paimon, Baal, Beleth, Vine, Purson, Balam, Zegan, and Belial. Asmodeus is the 9th king of the Ars Goetia, but his standing is different as he is one of the sins. So while he might have some involvement in issues that affect the Ars Goetia, he has his own realm to run as one of the sins.

The only thing I think you left out is how, while Sera does appear to be at the top of the proverbial totem pole, she refers to every edict and decision she made as being required, often citing the unknown or a forbidden truth as her reasoning. So there is at least one authority above Sera that is unseen, and Sera also has a largely "hands off" policy since that authority is elusive and she doesn't want to do anything that might possibly be contrary to it.
Beyond that, I think you have the right of it. The King of Hell effectively doubles as the lowest seat in the government of Heaven, a sentiment that appears to have extended to Charlie, who, despite being second only to her father in rank, also approaches just about everything in a passive and diplomatic state. This likely includes the rules regarding access to Earth... And it's here that I'm going to veer off topic for a bit to address I.M.P. and whether or not it's legitimate.
Plain and simple: Yes. Yes it is. And I base that just on the simple fact that C.H.E.R.U.B. is also legitimate. The simplest and most diplomatic way to set up and describe such a system would be one of mirrored rights, IE: everything Heaven can do, Hell can also do. So if Heaven is allowed to send Heavenborn angels down to try and prevent deaths on behalf of winner angels, Hell also has every right to send Hellborn demons to cause deaths on behalf of sinner demons.
But back on the hierarchy... Well, after that are the Seven Deadly Sins, and as we've seen already, that can vary greatly from one Sin to another. The one thing they seem to have in common is that they treat their rings like businesses, and that's where the similarities end: Mammon is a monopoly oligarch, Asmodeus and Beelzebub both appear to be trying to instill a lot of pride in the work they do by appeasing their employees, albeit with one (Asmodeus) doing so by keeping the working conditions good while the other (Beelzebub) has more of a "weekend" culture where their hard labor is well compensated in time for the weekend, and Belphegor is a corporate bureaucrat, with a lot of the regulations appearing to suffice to make sure her employees are in no way overworked beyond their pay grade.
The only exception to the rule so far is Pride, and I suspect that's because it gets purged every year by the exorcist angels, ergo there is no point in trying to impose any greater order on the ring since said order will just be completely upended by the end of the year anyway. So they treat Pride like a prison colony where the only real rule about it is who is allowed to enter or leave.

An interesting lore detail it would be nice to explore is how Wrath and Gluttony seem to be generally exploited by the rest of Hell for their resources because of how nature-centered they are. Stolas himself said in "Harvest Moon Festival" that Wrath is where the food mostly comes from, as we can see from the eggs in Ozzie's fridge and Stola's milk in Full Moon's opening song, but we can also notice that Gluttony as well provides for the rest of Hell, mostly beverage (like Beelzejuice) as we see in Apology Tour, but also other products like the syrup (made by Gluttony carnivorus plants) Blitz uses in Full Moon.
Imps and Hellhounds clearly live a much wilder live-style, pushed clearly by both Satan and Beelzebub, who don't seem to have any interest in urbanazing and modernizing their Rings, which could be a way for them to mantain things more raw and natural compared to the other Rings.

Even if the laws are only meant to benefit the elite in hell, it doesn't sound like they have preventative laws in the case of Blitz's business and Stella's actions against Stolas. Blitz's business does seem to cause problems since he and IMP doesn't have a human disguise but it seems like no one has turned his business in by now; if elites have eyes on Earth, especially the human government, you'd think they'd already act on IMP by now. At the same time, one could make the argument that IMP's business would be beneficial to the elite since I'm sure that there are humans that could become problems for demon plans on Earth. If I remember correctly, the pilot of Helluva Boss did have implication of that being the case for IMP before the final cut.
As for Stella trying to have Stolas killed, I'm surprised that there appear to be no laws for having an elite to kill another elite, directly or indirectly. Does it not happen often if not at all? Even Lucifer coming in to be a mediator, his personality from Hazbin Hotel implies he really doesn't do much as of right now, depending on the timeline of when Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss takes place. Do the elite not fight amongst themselves? Is assassination among them not common? I find that very hard to believe that's not a thing. If it's not and there is a law, Andreaphus better have a really good explanation on how to save Stella from it; even if they get rid of Stolas that doesn't mean she'll get off scott free.

In Hazbin after Luci’s fall he used the seven concepts of sins (sloth, envy, lust, greed, gluttony, wrath, and pride) to separate Hell in seven sections stalked on top of each other he called rings each one representing one of the seven sins, after that he then used six of the sins (sloth, envy, lust, greed, gluttony, and wrath) to create six powerful demonic beings each embodying one of said sin with the purpose of ruling over the ring that represent their respective sin on Luci’s behalf while he use the concept of pride the root of all sin to empower himself to establish his rule over the other sins and all of Hell

It could be that magic itself enforces the laws. Stolas said himself that the word or signature of a sin is binding. For the sinners, that seems to be limited to soul contracts and deals like the one Alastor made with Charlie. This is further confirmed by Lucifer not actually attacking Adam until he physically hurts Charlie who was protected as a hellborn. Perhaps the Goetia all take some kind of oath to uphold the laws when they take up their titles

7 fascinating facts you should know about the seven deadly sins-
    1. I love the fact that Lucifer is just a solid guy though and though. I was expecting him to be the main reason why I appreciate him as a person and as a character personality-wise.
    2. Satan is one of those ominous demonic entities that seems a lot more terrifying and bloodthirsty to look at, but I have a feeling that this devilish figure is going to play a more meaningful position in the future episodes of this series.
    3. I like Beelzebub’s design, she’s just a badass chick who is not afraid to speak her mind when necessary.
    4. I hate Mammon because he’s one of the more disrespectful sins in hell, spoilers ahead: he is also one of the most ominous descriptions of a more perverse boss type the show has to acknowledge.
    5. Asmodeus is one of, if not one of my favorite characters, he’s just that sexy dude, who makes me feel like I wanna write a love song about him.
    6. Leviathan is one of those deadly sins that is a little too deceitful or manipulative to beat. But don’t try to underestimate him, he’s one of the most threatening villains in hell’s hierarchy charts.
    7. This theory has not been confirmed yet, but I feel that Belphegor is considered the weakest sin due to her inferiority complex with Lucifer, she is also the only deadly sin that no one listens to or respects.

I wonder something. Why would they want MORE sinners? I mean, there’s not an incentive to spread sin on earth, is it? It seems like it would cost more to send people up and commit debauchery than to just let a few humans drop down on their own, since humanity’s already riddled with sin.
Edit: also, Lucifer clearly doesn’t like sinners. I couldn’t imagine any of the sins do, either, since they’re taking tons of resources from other rings that are probably being imported up, and not sending much back down. It might just be for money, though.

If we're still operating under the impression that no one really knows what gets a person sent to hell, chances are they probably believe that if they continue to spread certain sins on to humans then they have a higher chance of them going to hell than heaven. Ideally, they may want to get certain things from a sinner if they believe that they can help elevate Hell in their own ways if that sinner is strong enough. While hell seems to create their own things, I'm sure they would want to have certain-continued inspirations from humans if it benefited them; if nothing else, they probably don't want heaven to have it.

  • @happypasta6

It’s also ironic or at least messed up that hell-born demons who were just born there and have less if not no reasons to be punished suffer more than the sinner demons who have earned their suffering (at least according to the higher up angels).
In Helluva Boss we see a lot of the main cast and even secondary characters going through lots of trauma (both physically and mentally). In Hazbin Hotel, however the only character thus far that we really see having the same kind of emotional struggles is Angel Dust. (To some extent Husk too but he only is suffering now because he was too prideful (fittingly enough) as an Overlord and abused than lost his power when he went to Alastor and lost everything).
The Overlords especially are characters who need to be punished the most but are suffering the least. Valentino being the ultimate example as he gets no retribution for his actions and enjoys all his power. Vox may have suffered some emotional trauma from being rejected by Alastor but that’s still not enough as he’s otherwise still in a good place mentally and has a big position of power.
Carmela Carmine is the only overlord to really have further depth and actually care for her people especially her daughters.
