- In August 2019, Parliament approved amendments to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act or UAPA. The amendment, inter alia, empowers the central government to categorize an individual as a terrorist. This lecture explains all the amendments in detail.

i think the whole problem is at the root when the law is drafted or in discussion laws are not recommended to the Standing committee for further scrutiny . In this years budget session no bill was reffered to the standing committee if the goverment really thinks they are doing the right thing then whats the problem with refering bills to the standing committee.
