@@upendasana7857 Right back at you, if you were English (as she is) you'd find the dry humour in it. This is definitely one of those cases where "if you don't like it, shut up, mind your own business and keep scrolling".
I am a training psycholigist and i absolutely loved how Dr Chatterjee's terminology where he says the lady he speaks about has learned to " accept" less from when she was a child. This is a game changer just using that word " accepting" becUse people always say that we 'attract' people who do this and that when as a matter of a fact we do not attract( that makes it all out fault) we have no control over who walks in our lives but we chose who we accept to keep in our lives. Thank you for the clarity
You’re the man, Rangan! Glad I found your profile. The people you invite are such a high quality and your way of interviewing them is really satisfying! Keep the good work, you’re definitely making the world a better place by sharing your content!
Listening to Dr Rangan builds up my confidence. He is a truly down to earth man that has a magnificent interest in people's health and wellbeing. I wouldn't feel afraid to approach him with a health problems. Best wishes from sunny Cyprus.
Two of the most wonderful people in the same video...loaded with love and kindness without being juicy or corny. Informative, entertaining, helpful, moving. A nugget of solid gold. The epitome of internet goodness nailed right there.
I discovered that RUclips was more than just music and silly videos a little while before lockdown and videos like yours were of enormous help when our world was turned upside down AND inside out overnight. I believe happiness is just one part of the journey, and though appreciating relationships with others is ubergratifying, I agree that we need to enjoy getting to know ourselves too. I love the 'learning not to crunch on the polo mint' parallelism. Thank you both so very much.
Bloody pandemic. Or plandemic, I should say.. It was an absiolute disaster and people should ot be so accpeting of what government arfound the world did. It was an utter, utter disgrace
This would have to be one of the best podcasts you have done Rangan. I am definitely going to have my husband, family, and friends listen to this. Julie was so real and grounded and gave some great tips. Will be buying her book and using this with the students I work with. Thank You
Been following you Dr Rangan since watching doctor in the house all those years ago on C4. I saw someone so compelled to help people by getting to the root cause of the issue, rather than medicate the symptoms. You’ve mentioned before how people can make positive changes after being given instruction by their doctors because of a health issue, only to go back to old ways say 3 months later. I’ve been that person, though having these podcast/RUclips sessions in my life, is like having a doctor keep reminding me and coaching me to stay on course, I’ve also been able to help family and colleagues at work, particularly as a line manager. Just wanting to say thank you for all you do, you have such a positive impact 👍🏻
I like to do things myself because it makes me feel empowered and and in control. I am so thankful that therapist are putting this information on social media because it helps so many people.
Writing by hand is more effective for every kind of writing (when physically possible) because you make specific bodily movements for each word. It inscribed the information both physically and mentally, and as Bessel Van Der Kölk and Gabor Maté point out, the body is the source of emotion and its well for stored emotions.
Really enjoy your show. Discovered Dr Julie recently. Have read her book, which was great. Been hoping you'd have her on your show. A wonderful conversation. Thanks from Melbounre, Australia.
Thanks 👍 Dr.Rangan your podcast guests are brilliantly high profile and the presentation so knowledgeable to public education, more power to your program podcast, with thanks 👍🙏
Whole system for mental health is failing no help out there poor children going through it no help for them you can't rely on anyone but yourself I'm in 50s now struggled since my teens hopefully times have changed for today's children suffering with mental health problems well done great post x
I started listening to the bitesize version ep 380 about being your own therapist. I think Julie is simply repackaging mindfulness and getting it wrong. She said its about learning to choose which thoughts you let in. That reduces mindfulness to yet another self development method. Which undermines its spiritual essence and its subtlety. I found her like so many on the latest gravy train, with absolutely nothing original to offer, e.g she suggests keeping a journal. Wow groundbreaking advice.
They talk as if they still went out and on holiday, etc during the plandemic. And as if they ignore what government said we should do. Yet peopple out there in the real worldgot ostracised if they dared to express these views during the plandemic. The mass of people really should not listen to wankers that tell you not to do this, not to do that, etc. Particularly when some of those saame wankers go and do what they tell everyone else not to do, themselves. Eg: Boris Johnson and Partygate
I agree...50 minutes into the video and while I enjoy Dr. Chatterjee's videos, this one was confusing. I am not on TikTok and have no idea who the guest is. I gave it 50 minutes, then moved on.
Can't you just tell the ones you love that something needs to go o or get help. I've ran across some of the dialectic stuff, you can really really mess someone's mind up, when someone knows that they are all being treated as a two year old. If rather get it over with and be told so I can move on,. I'd like to talk to a professional for sure but I don't want to see people go through the play role dialectic stuff because that can really cause suicide.
I don't know why this podcast has been recommended to me as it keeps popping on itself but dear lord that guy is insufferable. He is obsessed with social media cloud every conversation he stirs to social media... narcissistic?
Thank you so much Rangan for inviting me on. Your studio is so cool. Had such a great time. 🥰
Can you try being less beautiful in future videos to aid my concentration :-)
Great content though, this is my first time seeing you.

Also, journaling works because it is metacognition

Read the title?????
@@tas9551 The title says Find Your Meaning In Life. Thats what it says on my computer. No names ?
The title says key steps to reduce stress and anxiety and I wish it was highlighted instead of this long conversation about literally everything
Another hour about Am I ok ?

Interesting.
Let it go. And live. Recognize you can’t do it all

Why do YOU always NEED TO capitalize random WORDS in your TITLE?
May be those words are significant in his view point!
Why not? It's helpful. They're NOT random words (as Venkata suggests).
