Mixed methods research part 2

The second presentations examines a study using a mixed methods design. In this article the researchers attempt to explore the recovery methods used by athletes. Its a pretty interesting article as it finds that they use a very large array of techniques. If I collect both quantitative and qualitative data in the same survey, can I merge them in the results instead of merging them in analysis
