    Dr thanks for your simplicity !!!! , finally i get it, what matter is whether a single research question or not which determine to employ mixed -method

    Nice information, sample is same for qualitative and quantitative in mixed method

    A good study: Here in Covid-19 Epoch, it is interesting to hear college students say they really want in-person classes but when I hold Hy-Flex classes few students show up! Quant would say they don't show up. Qual could show real sentiment about being in the classroom.

    What are the five factors to consider deciding to use mixed methods research?

    I'm a visual learner, do you have a literal map perhaps, that you can explain Mixed Methods Approach? Thank you!

    Thank you for this.
    I have Creswell's Research Design, but also purchased your recommendation now that I have decided on this design.

    Hi Dr.
    in the exploratory sequential design, since the aim in the QUANTITATIVE phase is to validate the results of the qualitative phase, why are the individuals in the first stage of data collection (i.e. Qualitative) typically NOT THE SAME participants in the second stage (i.e. quantitative)? It is really confusing. HOW can we validate the findings by including different participants in both phases? .
    Would you please tackle this point in the next video?
    Thanks in advance

      @qualitativeresearcher  5 лет назад +3

      This is because we do not need to validate the qualitative strand participants' views, but rather the overall findings, for example by exploring their transferability, that is the degree to which these qualitative results apply to other (often broader) contexts

    Thank you for the informative presentation. Dr. I have a doubt...can I employ experimental design to collect quantitative data under sequential explanatory mixed methods design?

    I wanna develop a mixed method research for the research topic " consumer perception of organic food". So which mixed method design will be good? To start with qual or quant

    there is a confusion in this video you mentioned convergent parallel design you have missed one design and gave different explanations to a single above mentioned design

    If I plan to conduct a survey to find out why employees in a particular organisation not using the public transport and what reasons will encourage them to start using it? What type of mixed method research design will be appropriate for that survey? Why?

    hi, both qant and qaul data should be collected from same cases in case of concurrent?? also if in sequential then the second questionnaire should be admisteres in the same cases who have be intervined for quant or qual??

    • @qualitativeresearcher
      @qualitativeresearcher  Год назад

      it all depends on what design you are following. No, in concurrent design the data does not have to come from the same source. In sequential explanatory, the qualitative data should be collected from the same source as the quant, but in the sequential exploratory you may have a different group of participants for the quantitative data

    Can we use different methodologies to address different research questions in a thesis?

    • @qualitativeresearcher
      @qualitativeresearcher  4 года назад

      we can use different Methods for each research question. Methodology is something underlying the whole study, and it includes a range of decisions Including the methods of data collection

      i think if qualitative and quantitative data are used to answer separate questions, it is then not a mix-methods research, it might be called multiple methods research :)

    Hi Dr
    Currently I am doing on research impact of Climate Change on rainfed agriculture community ? So I want to use mixed methodology. I have decided that I will collect both quantitave and qualitative data at same time. ?? Any suu
