@@Thanovic I would but i got scammed some time later in courses. Called gameready i think .the coach I bought his trianing ..he told fast aerial and the othef coatcht with other course told me the opposite thing ?? And in flipreset training he cant even do it and says ...well keep practicing ..
Honestly I can't even air dribble but can flip reset lol; like if u told me to do an air dribble in freeplay then a flip reset, I'd hit the flip reset significantly more often
Basically, I went crazy on training air dribbles as a gold/plat, and I got pretty good at them, then I realized how little they helped me in-game so I just stopped doing them, now I just do resets cuz they're way more effective (at least from my experience)
One thing to be said in these mechanic tutorials is to think of the setup as more of a guideline rather than strict rules to follow, as you rank up you’ll have to adapt your mechanics to the situation you’re in. Perfect setups in comp are few and far between.
I’ve always had a rough time after getting the reset because my car positioning. Never knew about hitting the ball at the peak. Normally I would hit it before or after the peak. Definitely helping my consistency, thanks!
Yup this was the piece I was missing too. Was actually able to get a decent amount of flip resets in training just now, but was consistently having trouble getting any sort of follow up. 100% this was my problem.
Man, a couple weeks ago I started playing again after a few years of not playing much. And I've appreciated every amazing tutorial I've found to guide me. Honestly one of the best ones out there.
Wow. The tip about not accelerating when getting the reset just changed my life. I NEVER NOTICED THAT I'VE BEEN DOING THAT. Flip resets feel way easier now.
Ultimately, spinning in the air doesn't actually do anything. It's really about what you're comfortable with. The nice thing is spinning does make you look more unpredictable, but it's 100% not needed to get banger aerials, air dribbles, double touches, or flip resets.
(GC) I've spent dozens of hours practicing flip resets and always been really inconsistent. After watching this I immediately realized what I was doing wrong. I would jump right as I was hitting the ball off the wall making it random if I was in the right position, plus if I did get the reset I stuck to the ball. Hopped in freeplay and first try it felt 10x better. The set-up (tapping break for a split second) is way easier and because you come at the ball with a little more speed you pop off the ball and have so many more options. Thank you.
The irony, I just got back into rocket league a week ago and the past 2 days I've been wanting another flip reset tutorial from someone like you. Thank you so much for this! ♥
YT recommended a channel to me just over a week ago "James RL", his "Ultimate flip reset guide" video is insane - approx 10 flip reset variants, all diiiirty bangers. If you master the tips in Thanovics guide, the other lads is how to take it to another level.
thanks man. im plat and really needed this since there are A LOT OF smurfs. i went from not even knowing how to get a wheel under to ALMOST GETTING THE RESET! this video really explained well. now i have to practice.
Over 800 hours on steam in RL and iv never been able to hit a flip reset, since watching this yesterday and ~5 hrs of training iv now hit 2. Thank you this vid helped clear up what iv been doing wrong.
Thanks! Having learned double flip resets from your previous videos I had always struggled to do a single flip reset. This tutorial was exactly what I needed
Great video, you're still the best at those ! You really take the time to address a lot of common difficulties in learning a mechanic. For my part, it really is the recovery after getting the reset and prior to using it, I'm coing to work on getting the reset at the peak of the set up
Best teacher a teacher who tells you go for it I you think you can do it not like the other ones who tell you you have to be gc in order to flip reset honestly you are a unique teacher best teacher out the keep up the good work mate
This guide actually helped me get my first flip reset in 1.5-2hr of trying consistently having patience and using the information he provided also I have 530 hrs in the game, Highest rank is C2 in 2’s have patience and determination . God bless .
the easiest way to flip reset is this: 1. push the ball towards the wall, let off of the gas to get a little separation between you and the ball. 2. hit the ball higher off of the wall by hitting it at the second fence line from the start of the ramp. 3. tap brake and jump in quick succession. 4. quickly flick your left stick down for half a second. 5. use a little boost, let off and do one full air roll rotation. 6. continue holding boost and fully lean your left stick down. 7. boom, you should get a reset. eventually, you’ll learn how to use your left stick to adjust your nose to always face the ball while you’re going up towards it in the air, and it’ll become even easier. hope this helped!
The letting go of the accelerator is something I just learned. If you stop your vehicle and then just jump up, you will stay still. If you stop then jump and push forward, you will move forward. This is also the same for reverse. From a standstill, you will move when you push forward or reverse. Has changed my aerial control. Champ 1000ish hours btw. But this video, has provided me some things to look at while I start to learn how to Flip Reset. Thanks Thanovic 🤙
That's around the same issue i had. Except I kept doing a front flip every time i got off the wall, it has been a bad habit. So not flipping (and left air roll for me), AND continuing to drive is a great solution for good control. I also have the issue of flipping my car around completely when doing a speed flip, like when i flip cancel. If you have any advice though I'm trying to get better.
@Tobey Yeager I would actually recommend watching Cbells plat to grand champ series with ellie. I believe episode 3 at 6 mins 28 seconds.. He explains it to her really well. If not. Basically: step 1 - backflip. step 2 - push up as soon as you start going backwards (cancel the backflip) should land on your roof. Step 3 - air roll left/right. Step 4 - once you get your vehicle right-side up boost. That's it. Practice each step by itself and progress adding each thing. You'll have it in no time.
@@Sarnt_T I'm going to attempt what you said since I have rocket league open right now. Thank you for such a quick reply, I'll watch the video after I make a quick attempt.
