Well they have their way to say thank you! The big reward for me is to see them relax after the adjustments and go away without pain. Thanks for sharing Brad.
I grew up with my dad being friends with his chiropractor who helped a lot with my dad's issues after car accidents. I didn't know for years that chiropractors are stereotyped as being hacks or not real professionals. But most of my experiences in the medical system were atrocious and I sometimes literally knew more about a condition and what treatment I was seeking than the doctors. The chiropractor has always helped with what he could and it was great.
Western medicine is a scam. It's a money dwindling business that does not care about you. Only whats in your pockets and how much they can mess your body up more so that you're stuck in a vicious cycle of debt and pain. I've seen doctors try to break people's spines and pin them back with rods. When in reality, with a good Chiro and massage, that person's spine no longer needed the surgery that was suggested. Holistic medicine are people that actually cares for your well being, without using harsh poisons. (I'm not saying all western medicine is bad, there are amazing doctors) but you could say there are definitely hacks and con artists in the western medicine world
I think some doctors may act stuck up because their expertise is actually limited many times. I wish they were humble enough to state their limits and not to condemn alternative treatments. Maybe there are lagalities involved.

What I found out while working with cats is that they tell you if they need help or not. Because she stayed so relaxed, that's a way to show that they need working on. The first visit she licked her lips after the shoulder ajustment, so that was the biggest one of all. At the second visit, she clearly said that she had enough and didn't need anything more🤭. You camera woman is a real cat lover. You love all animals, but favor dogs more. Dogs are more predictable then cats so I get it totally. Still you give good vibes! They are in charge and that is the way to go with royalty😂. You helped her royal highness with her problems and now you are excused😸 Great job once again doc 😘
I ❤ watching your "eyes in your fingertips" at work! As a massage therapist who worked with a DC for a number of years, I find myself massaging & checking my dogs for subluxations, tightness & tenderness. They absolutely ❤ it to the point of trying to get me to massage them & they try to cut in on the other's turn! Likewise, Venus seemed to enjoy her treatment results.
We have 11 rescue cats in residence, and two foster cats, that we share our home and life with. Have been working with cats my entire life. And I feel compelled to comment on your work here with Venus. (What a sweetheart ❤️) Because….You’re wonderful with cats! Many vets and animal practitioners, sadly, are NOT. But you understand their language and how to communicate with them. Including the slow blink and nod, the calmness that makes them stay calm, slow assured movements, you’re not afraid of them (this causes them to have enormous anxiety because YOU ARE anxious, and sometimes even leads to fear aggression) and you really know how to use appropriate touch with them. I was enormously impressed. I give my cats massages at home but have never had them in to a chiro. Nice to know that if they should ever need it, you exist. 😂🤣😻😽
This is so precious I almost cried. 😭 I need someone who can calmly and quietly talk to me like this. It’s so relaxing. Makes me wish I was that kitty.😊

I really thought this video would make me mad but you could SEE the relief in that baby, and the way you are with her speaks for itself--to the cat, too. She was utterly blissed for most of that.
It’s so interesting how you’ve taught us over the course of your videos. After you got the pinched nerve/T4 sorted, I was saying, “She licked!! She’s integrating it!”😂 You’re a great doctor and a great teacher. 🌟
I really enjoyed this. I was an LVT before becoming an RN and chiropractic was my favorite part of the equine practice especially. We had one old (30s) Belgian cross rescued from heavy cart work who could hardly separate his legs when we started... after a few months he went from being apprehensive of adjustment to greeting us and lining up readily for his treatments, which eventually led to restoration of about 80% range of motion. It was incredible. I love when animals understand that you’re doing something that helps them and makes them feel good 💗 I really regret that we didn’t have chiropractic at my feline practice, I think it would have helped a lot of our patients. Cats require patience but they’re so rewarding! Edit: I noticed her do a “lick lick” after a couple of the joint adjustments, that was something we saw a lot in horses after adjustment when they’d relax. Is this similar in cats?
Seeing these videos is always a good reminder that our animals can’t tell us when and where they’re hurting and that we need to occasionally check in on their bodies for signs of pain and take them to the vet for check ups even when they seem fine
What a beautiful cat!!! Where do people find these calm cats?? My 3 would never allow you to do this to them. Lol Venus was so content. It’s always fun watching your videos, especially when they include cats and Nugget. Looking forward to Saturday and Nugget’s 4th visit 😁

@@ygs497 we need to make this happen!
Omg if he reacted to this video it would be awesome, he’d be so excited to see all of this xd
I absolutely adore the beginning of this, how he talks to this cat just as if it were a human being he is adjusting. ❤ What love and respect he has for the animals, too.
Thanks Ashley!
@@AnimalCrackerDrDougWillen Thank you, Doc. ❤
Absolutely 💯
You must have really balanced energy, highly developed animal communication skills, and fine-tuned touch because, yes, cats are/can be tricky to work with! Thank you for helping the animals and educating people in general. You are a joy to watch.
“This might not be a medical move…but it’s a good move” I wish I got this kind of treatment at the doc! Haha
I never thought I needed to see a cat get readjusted. They look so happy after realizing they feel better from the adjustment oh my gosh my heartttt 😭
Venus looked absolutely blissful at the end of the first session. Great job, Dr. Doug!
Thanks AW!
Haha, right? She went from is this a vet, am i gona get poked face to, oh this guy just pets me like my dad but a little weird, but hes ok.
What a gentle and polite cat!
I literally got tears in my eyes when you could see her little face relaxing😍😭
Dr Doug is precious- so sensitive so caring whilst being so professional - his attention to each animal is just beautiful- thank you for all you’re doing Dr Doug....
Venus is so blessed to have her dad and you looking out for her well being.
I know that’s right
Lil squeaker
I love that you told Venus "just take a deep breath"
pls 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I'm a final year vet student in the UK and this is the first video of yours I've come across... I'm OBSESSED! I've been thinking about specialising in Veterinary Medicine after a few years and always thought that orthopaedics would be my last choice but this may have changed things! *continues watching your channel for hours*
why dont you learn how to be a chiropractor on top so you know you can give the most reliable treatment?
Exactly do both ☺️
I’ve been teaching kids for 40 years- think I chose the wrong profession! Would be so great to be able to do this!
As a DVM and wild animal rehabilitator, I respect what you are doing and always love the passion and care you put into helping animals! Keep up the amazing work, even though the animals can't say thank you, they appreciate it 👍
Well they have their way to say thank you! The big reward for me is to see them relax after the adjustments and go away without pain. Thanks for sharing Brad.
@@AnimalCrackerDrDougWillen You are making such a difference in their lives, incredible work! High praise to you Dr. Willen!
What a well behaved little kitty! Also, I had no idea animal chiropractors were a thing, I think I know what I’ll be watching for the next few hours.
(I'm not saying all western medicine is bad, there are amazing doctors) but you could say there are definitely hacks and con artists in the western medicine world
@@Saiege nice story
I think some doctors may act stuck up because their expertise is actually limited many times. I wish they were humble enough to state their limits and not to condemn alternative treatments. Maybe there are lagalities involved.
@@Saiege That is the stupidest thing I've ever read in my entire life
@@anonymousname8833 Well then, someone hasn't been paying attention to the nonsense, the lies, and the constant bullshit over the last year and a half.....
Watching you consult Venus during her adjustment was very heartwarming ☺️. She will be much happier!
Hi Mary Dee, I tried to talk to her, so she would know what was happening!
:)
I had a pinch nerve before on my spine after doing a back workout. The most painful thing I've ever been through so I can't imagine this for a cat :(. But I'm glad he's got some relief!
I had a pinch nerve from doing a back bend . not the best choice..lol.
Pinched a nerve once….felt like my arm was on fire😵💫
@@MsSweetlove90 I dunno if it’s a pinched nerve for me. But I tried a back bend, went too far and felt a pain shoot down all the way from my back to my foot.
The way you talk to the cat is moving to say the least. I am a cat person and, along with my cat I would like to thank you for bringing hope and joy all over the world. Your being so committed helps us remember that human beings are special, too. You are a most special and precious man! God bless you! Giorgio🙂🙂😃🐱🦝♍🪐
Chiropractors are sent from Heaven. Definitely feels so good to have all your bones put back in place. Love that you are helping animals too.
A Chiro fan ! That‘s awesome I love that. Thank you Angel.
You are a brave chiropractor adjusting the wild cats!
I can’t get enough of Dr Doug. He is so good at reading each animal and maneuvering quickly to avoid a collision with say a jumping horse!!! He never ceases to amaze me! I wish I lived closer myself so he could work on my parrots. 😉🤷🏼♀️🙏
Hi Nan! I try, I have a lot of training, which helps. Each case is different.
Thank you Simone! Maybe one day I can meet your Parrots!
I loved that you did the "cat kiss" eye blink to be friends again after it hurt abit.
Wauw love how she first hissed at you and then just let you get it for her. She definitely was so relaxed and seemed to feel you were helping here and releaving her 😊
She has such an expressive face! I melt when she closes her eyes in relaxation
She was so patient! Even when you hit the bad spot & she hissed, she didn't swat. I think she knew you were trying to help.
What a good calm cat. She knows you are helping her❤️
I believe so! Thanks Bonney!
she knows 🤧
This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. I’m hooked. My cats are watching this with me. They want massages now 😻
Hi Stephanie, thanks for watching and I'm glad your cats enjoy the channel too!
Grateful that you stopped by and I hope you can come back again! Posting 2-3 videos per week. 2 per week during August, and then I pick up again in September.
Animal Cracker: Dr. Doug Willen Awesome! Thank you for this truly interesting, incredibly entertaining content! You’re improving quality of life for animals and while educating the public… YEAH MAN! ☀️
A meowsage
What a neat kitty! She took all the adjustments like a trooper. You are lucky, Doc, to work with so many neat critters!
I just love Dr. Doug Willin! I love his nature, his soul, his essence and everything he's about! Thank you for sharing your calling and yourself with the planet!
That first clip of you negotiating with Venus is amazing. Shows so quickly how you connect with animals, its fascinating.
Awww, thanks Bianca! Your insight is terrific, I love to read all of your comments. Thank you, for sharing!
Doc
:)
This man about to upload the cracked full version of this cat for free
I'm sorry I only have one like to give. Blessings of internet prosperity, traveler.
You deserve more recognition. Plebs do not know humor.
I cracked up reading this
Im still missing a serial key
First of all who in the world dislikes a video of a chiropractor doing his job. Secondly this guy is extremely skilled in his profession.
Extremely skilled!!
(What a sweetheart ❤️)
Because….You’re wonderful with cats!
I find this so adorable, she's such a well natured cat and you can tell she loves her human! I was honestly surprised she didn't jump or try to squirm away with the snapping towel example. Your way of handling her was also so well done!
Thank you RUclips reccomend 😆
Venus is so chill during the procedure my mom's maine coon would be screaming
That cat face relief is the most honest chiropractic review of all youtube. With that said I'm trusting my spine, my bones, my house keys to him completely after watching this video.
I revisit this video a lot because I really enjoy watching your interactions with Venus. You understand animals in a way that fascinates me. I also love to learn about the clinical aspects too. Thank you, Dr! 👏🏼💓
@@kylekylekyle505 I don’t think we saw the same video. If we did then you must be out of touch with reality. Get some help.
Ah, the magic of kindness and helping our four legged friends.
Thanks J!
The cat looked so relaxed and happy when you got that spot between the shoulder blades.
I like watching a true animal lover engaging with an animal
isn’t it awesome? 🥰
Wow that look on her face when she had that adjustment was amazing she looks so calm and relaxed. Very good job?! The poor cat needed that very much and you did it flawlessly?!
Wow what a beautiful cat. You are so understanding of this beauty ! It’s so nice to see people being so compassionate towards animals. It’s all about consent ❤️
I feel like I’m just as relaxed as miss Venus is. Your voice and energy is so calming. A true gift!
I loved the way you talked with the cat natural and went down to their level. I'd trust my cats with you (even if they won't trust you lmao) you talked to them in a very 1 on 1 situation. The cat wasn't the 3rd wheel.
I saw this video on the Maine Coon and enjoying how you got her to relax after the slow blink and then proceeded with the adjustments! Love how she practically fell asleep 💤
this video popped up in my recommended, most likely because there's a cat in it and youtube knows i love cats, but im so glad i found this channel. its weirdly very wholesome and im here for it
I love the actors in this film. Especially the lead
Your formidable sensibility gained that cat's trust. Never seen such a cooperative cat.
' This might not be a clinical move but a good move ' ☺️❤️ What a gorgeous cat, and she has seemingly a very caring tin opener☺️ That was👌 I love watching your work, thank you for letting us participate. You are awesome with and for animals~ for humans,as well😉 Rare species of a chiro ~ good ones are anyways not so easy to find and you are an unicum! I so wished, you were closer! For the animals& well,my back 😉 I' d trust you. Warm regards, please take good care of yourself. You are visibly such a special, samten hearted person!
Thank you so much Julyssis! It would be great to meet you and your critters one day! Thanks for being here! Doc
I really like how he takes his time and doesn't rush anything. Perfect approach
Chiropractic adjustments are not something you want to rush!
I really thought this video would make me mad but you could SEE the relief in that baby, and the way you are with her speaks for itself--to the cat, too. She was utterly blissed for most of that.
Awww that’s really kind of you!
You never know, maybe your cats would let me! Hahaha, one day!
See you Saturday.
