I rescued a ferrel kitten who took a chunk out of my hand durning rescue. Several weeks later when he became happy with his warm home and food, he came up to me, licked the spot on my hand where he bit me, and looked up at me as if to say he was sorry. Cutest thing ever.
She loved the brushing because kittens understand grooming as a motherly or parental, caring form of affection. She knew you were taking care of her and she felt safe with you. Bravo, mom.
@@mariasilistra2998 You're 100% correct. Left to their own devices, feral kittens generally leave their mother after about three months (death rate is high, but sadly that's nature) after which she's probably soon pregnant again (because of the previously aforementioned sad nature thing).
I volunteered at a animal shelter and they had two adorable kittens that were so feral. You couldn't touch them without being hissed ,spit or scratched. I did what you did and swaddled them everyday. They became the sweetest and loudest purrers. Went up for adoption and found loving homes
I know people on the internet are obsessed with commentating on stuff that is cute/sweet/sad that they "literally cried" and that's really annoying and hyperbolic... but this comment literally made me cry. cats are such loving animals. almost all feral cats are just creatures that are so lonely and so hurt, they don't even realize how badly they need love until they get it. what lovely beings.
My kitten doesn't bathe well, but she is happy to be clean. I wear long rubber gloves to protect myself and verify the water is warm before I put her in.
Her hair being all matted and dirty probably hurt like crazy when she was touched. Being so young, it would be like all touch is pain since that's all she's known. I'll bet she just felt so much better after the bath, that she was able to be more open to her surroundings. Combine that with a great gentle soul like that foster, and she's just like "finally, I can just be a cat."
My cat is black and white with a similar patteren on his face and i got that same look when i had to give him liquod medicine and eye gel hed at first give me an angry look but by day four looked like a pouty lipped kid and would keep his eyes closed and cover them by hiding in my arm or the blanket
I found an abandoned wild adult Siamese male. It was a real test for me to socialize him. It took awhile but now he won't leave me alone. He adores me and I'm so proud of him. I give him the best life. Love and kindness and patience is the key to win them over. In the end, all creatures want to be loved.
@@deepbluefyre777 It's a misconception all the way across the food chain. Lions, for example, still hunt in water and can swim super fast! I actually saw a video where some guys in a boat were watching them on the shore like, "Don't worry they won't swim after us..." Yeah. They had to high tail it outta there once the ferocious kitty paddling started!
I think it's the most extraordinary thing I have ever seen! Just amazing that a ferral cat let her do it! And how much she loved it and was so thankful for being clean. It was my favourite part of the video.
Her first miaow in this video was kind of heartbreaking. It sounded like her defences were breaking down, like she was relieved to have found somebody she could trust. Just so special.
Same. It reminded me of when we got our "foster" kitty. My fiance had to work with her and she went from screaming and not knowing how to play to bossing everyone around. You walk into our house she yells at you to pet her. Want a quiet night of relaxation? Nope. You need to play fetch with her.
This kitten is so sweet, she is Barely feral. She's just been fending for herself outside protecting herself. She just needed a few days to trust. That was a quick turn around. She is loving 💕
My fav feral kitten was... Ugh... Not feral at all i have got her dying just 10 days old. It was (and is) absolutely strange. She dont afraid anything or nobody. If she dont like anything, she immediately attacks. You cant stop her if she want something. Yesterday i came to check her. Now im bited and scratched, as wish to rub her
Oui, c'est bien cela, car un petit chat sauvage, se rassure assez vite, si l'on s'en occupe avec douceur et beaucoup d'amour. Ils sont comme nous.tout simplement.
It's funny how all animals have their own personality. This cat looked depressed, like just leave me alone, but a gentle soul. She just had to come out of her shell a little.
@@Winrarnt i have a dog, that is 3yo, but still haves her baby personality and her baby face, loves humans and a lot kids, but when she sees a dog that isn’t her sister, she’s like « I’m the boss, your territory is now mine », but then she starts to approach the dogs and play with them. I also have her sister, also 3yo, that is pretty calm when she wants, but also can bark a lot when she wants something. She’s also pretty scared of little kids and babies, and when she sees a dog, she bark at them, but because she’s scared, but usually starts to play with them because she’s also curious.
My latest feral kitten was a 2 mo female who is now a happy, healthy 10 mo. I named her Hope because I rescued her from a hopeless situation. As for the fur babies in our lives, I see it this way. They arrive just when they're supposed to. They bring with them a key which opens the door to a compartment in your heart. They unlock the door, enter in, close the door, and lock it from the inside where they will dwell forever. 💖 I'm 65 and have 22 compartments in my heart. Still with me are Penny 14, Cody 12, and now Hope. I wouldn't have my life any other way.
I imagine that little kitten saw a mom licking her kits, or has a memory of her mom licking her when she was very very young and the brush unlocked that memory
@@toast15311 Kay, here's one. I waffle between thinking the brush must feel a zillion times better and thinking the mommy's tongue must feel a zillion times better. The answer is if you brush your kitty mindfully it will be akin to a mommy's love. For me that means I brush and pet my cats according to their reactions and also according to what might make me feel good if I were receiving the brushing.
@@killercharm the brush mimicking a cats lick makes alot of sense, think about it, cats eat and get alot of their liquid nutrients from the kills they got their tounges are like sand paper they have little barbed hooks that dot their tongues just like we have zillions of taste buds on ours, this is true of all cats big and small, brushes have firm bristles that would touch their skin and smooth out fur so yes it would feel similar to their mom licking them
As someone who has “un-feraled” cats before, 19 days and they love toys and attention is huuuuuge progress in such a short amount of time! It can take up to 2 months for a cat to like you depending on how long its been outside. Im so proud of that cat for opening up to humans so quickly!
It must be incredibly scary to encounter humans up close when you’re just a little kitty. It’s so nice to see her purring for the first time at a human’s touch, maybe for the first time ever. And crawling on to her lap to invite more brushing. I love these animals, fascinating creatures!
Imagine you were a child and you were starving and dirty on the road and a giant picked you up and took you home.Would scar basically everyone for a while
I talked to a zoologist once, who laughed and said "Imagine being an animal in the wild and suddenly being confronted with these strange, upright walking, hairless, TALKING animals. Would you feel good??" 😁
That has been my experience with stray kittens. If they are dirty and you bathe them even just with a wet wash rag, they start to trust you a little. I think they associate it with being groomed by their mothers.
Also didn't scream and moan in misery. (I've got a Manx... Moment he gets wet, he screams bloody murder, lol!) (P.S. said Manx has occasionally done stuff that requires a good bath...)
I had a Turkish Van that looked a lot like this cat. He let me cut his nails and bathe him when he was young. Didn't resist at all. One day he decided not to let me anymore and that was that.
yeah she's so cute even when she's angry and feral you know that she's a sweet heart once she warms up to you which takes time and patients but eventually happens

No way I could foster any animal. I’d fall in love and never wanna give them up. I have 7 cats and 3 dogs now. If I tried to foster one I’d have 8 and then 9 etc etc. Love my fur babies.
I keep thinking how these babies let their guard down and trust their fosters, then have to go live with someone else. I'm a huge foster fail for that reason lol. I know it's necessary and fosters like this save so many lives but I couldn't get over the feeling like I was betraying my babies lol. Bless them for being so emotionally strong.
I adopted a cat that was "rehomed" several times. People didnt like him, his behavior, the fact he was too energetic and didnt like cuddling. Being a cat person my whole life I took him in not knowing what to expect. He would wait for the post office to arrive and ravage all the correspondence, he would climb curtains...I played with him so much till he couldnt do anything anymore....he waked me up in the morning to play, and gradually we became best friends. Sheldon is on my lap now sleeping...the craziest, loudest cat I know and the most friendly! He loves visits and I started to rescue kittens and he would always be nice to them, play together and sleep together. Sometimes the wild cat is just misunderstood hahaha
Indeed! I have a wild boy right now. So friendly and cuddles at night. He knows that 10pm is b4 bed play time and zooms around every night. He took some direction though and is less destructive now lol. I still love his wild sprit cause that's just who he is. 😺
My cat apricot was thrown in some ladies garden, and since she was outside she found him there meowing. She took him in and cared for him a little and made a post somewhere asking if anyone would like to take him. My aunt said she'd take him since our other cat ( a Scottish fold ) was pretty lonely. Now Apricot lives with us
That’s awesome. I literally hate “rehoming.” Unless circumstances are so dire that you gotta choose between food for you and your human family or food for your fur babies, you shouldn’t be rehoming. Adopting a pet is a commitment. Animals give you everything of themselves and they deserve to be loved in return.
Reminds me of my dad. Total he has rescued about 15 dogs. Always bringing home strays, rescuing them from the pound, etc. A few years ago he brought home five kittens who were feral across from the field at his work. @@rgeorge1536 Thank you for caring for feral cats. I took in two feral kittens, brothers, who just appeared in my yard in 2015. The smaller kitten (named Lucky Carl) was a challenge at first, but became a happy house kitten in record time. The bigger brother (named Stars) made slower progress. He would only calm down and sleep if he was in a crate outside in the yard. Eventually we just accepted he would be an in/out cat. He proudly brought me mice and birds every once in a while. He always showed up for his meals and he did spend time inside, bonding with Lucky. He just would not sleep in the house! Today, Lucky Carl is a very neat and tidy little man who keeps his black fur very clean and shiny. He also does his own nails. Very distinguished boy. Lol, who will also turn gangsta in 1.2 seconds if he smells a rotisserie chicken. He's 6 now, and very happy. Very loved. Stars ("Starzie" to me) went over the rainbow bridge in 2017. He was struck by a car. I don't regret allowing him to spend time outside. Of course I wish it were a different story, but Stars was an outside cat. Like in his soul. I miss him still. He was only here a little while, but he showed me how you let someone you love be who they are. Even if you don't really like their choices. He would never have been a happy housecat. He left too soon, but from the minute I found him, he lived 100% of the rest of his life exactly how he had to live it to feel happy. Free. Self sufficient. And always, always he knew he was loved.
@@MeganVictoriaKearns This is so beautiful. I completely understand how it is to want to protect your cats indoors but they have the souls to wander outside. The kittens are my latest but I've had many strays before. Only one loved being inside. The rest came and went. And it was very sad when they took off to mate and didn't come back. But that is their nature. We have street dogs outside who killed two . We were not able to do anything. I enjoyed reading about Lucky Carl and Stars. I'm sure they had/have a very happy life and are waiting for you at the rainbow bridge.
There’s nothing more rewarding than when a feral not only lets you touch them, but actually comes over and initiates the physical contact. My mother has tamed several feral cats, both kittens and adults, and I have helped with most of them, so I know how great it feels. I am really glad that you posted this so people can see that there is hope for ferals. They just need kindness and patience. Keep up the great work.
This gave me a mind image that has ur mom going into battle with kitchenware as armor, a rolling pin as a weapon, and her entire cat army with little pots and pans as helmets.
Same! My mother and I have caught, spayed, neutered, vaccinated, socialized, adopted out and even kept ourselves about 70 feral cats and kittens over the years. This year alone I’ve caught 23 in my neighborhood. We are not a business and we do it with our own money. Every kitty deserves love and happiness.
This one seems like it was a kitten though when this started, unless it's just a really small cat. I've worked around ferals too, and usually you can't socialize them once they're past the kitten stage. but depending on that specific cat's background, maybe they were once owned before so there is some hope for them. If they've spent their whole life on the streets though, they most likely won't ever warm up to humans. I fed a colony for 5 years or so, and still some of them even though they'd meow loudly when I came up w/the food, they'd run across the street when I got close to them or their food dishes. But a couple did come up and nuzzle against me too, but I think those ones were owned before.
Awww. That moment when they start purring...nothing compares to that feeling except maybe holding your own newborn child. Ive rescued a lot of cats in my life and it feels so good to know that you are the first person that they've trusted.
@@AmbitiousAlgiers Bashing others for being happy is a douche move. Simple as that. You reallly have to be bitter to look at someone minding their own business and feel the need to put them down.
The gentle tugging of the brush must've mimicked the feeling of the mom's rough tongue grooming the fur. You are certainly cut out for the job. Your love of animals really shines!
It's strange how they imprint a memory even after not experiencing that for a long time. Someone else suggested using a flat toothbrush dipped in warm water to "brush" the kitten. Amazing how well this works.
everytime I found a feral kitten covered in mites and fleas I submerged it (almost - naturally not the eyes and nose) completly in very warm water with a couple of shredded garlic cloves in it - completely killed all the skin parasites and every will of resistance must have reminded those formerly hissing, scratching and biting little monsters of the moment they came out their motherly womb and they then totally accepted me as their new mum...dad...god of water....
@@feldgeist2637 Great tip on the garlic. I wish there was more I can do. I've heard about feral cats being so covered in fleas that their gums were white from blood loss and dehydration. The "flea load" that a new kitten can handle is small. They have strikes against them since conception because of improper diet of mom and her milk quality may not be the best. Bless your heart for all you do!
I think that whenever I visit my daughter. Her cat is alone so much she does not like visitors and will not run and hide like most cats. She hisses at me, even in front of my daughter but more so when my daughter leaves me alone with the cat. @@AKHWJ3ST best advice I can give you as a person who rescues cats it bring some treats.. Maybe even a toy.. Cats by nature love cuddles.. When my 3 cats started out they would fight but no matter how hostile the day was they would always cuddle up and night so they felt the love as they sleep.. It always warmed my heart.. When you bring the snacks don't take them to her.. Put them by the cat and walk away.. Or even put them down as the cat looks at you far enough to not get attacked but close enough for the cat to be curious.. Its worked for me with almost every wild cat I have crossed and rescued..
@@AKHWJ3ST my friend had a cat like that she was not fond of strangers then he had a birthday party at home and before it was over i was petting it with her in my arms
First thing to do to get along with cats is to stop thinking they are hostile. In my experience this applies to most animals, how you treat them is how they will treat you, animals are sensitive to human emotions, so if the animals thinks you are cautious of him/her, then the animals will be to you too making you both on edge for no reason. I agree to the idea of giving treats, making a new friend is way easier when you give them free food.
Seriously, this woman has a gift. It's not the first time we see her her and she makes miracles with cats. Love and patience are not enough, she must have been a mama cat in all her previous lives! 😅
I'm not the only one that thinks she's even cuter when she scrunches her face like that? Like yeah she's "threatening" to beat the crap out of me, but it's just adorable.
One of my cats scrunches her face up like that too. But she does it when she's extremely happy, and purring a mile a minute, and making biscuits. (Jan Griffiths).
Yea, you were lucky with her. My male feral just passed away at age 16. We found each other 14 years ago. He was in need of food and love. He took the food, however only allowed me to pet him a few times a day in the first YEAR! Second year was better and was 100% by the 4th year. Even though I pampered him, spoke with him played with him, it took forever! He was the BEST cat... 😃

If the cat were a human child, and she was kept against her will in confinement until she began to relate to her captor, we would call it Stockholm syndrome and arrest the person that did that to her.
As someone who has raised many feral kittens in her short time, that feeling when they start trusting you and purring is the best feeling in the world. They get this smile on your face and all the fleas and diarrhea and scratches and vomiting become worth it.
Are you giving the kittens dairy? Contrary to popular belief, milk and dairy are not all that compatible with cats and often give them diarrhea, and maybe makes them vomit too. I have cats and I rarely give them dairy, but if I do, it's in very small amounts. What else could you be giving them that makes them vomit? Maybe you should think about that too.
@@vegskater1741 The kittens could also just be sick when they come there. Parasites, viruses, bacterial infections, a lot of nasty stuff you can catch outside could cause those symptoms. We don't know if it's their treatment of the cats that causes it.

She wasn't too bad at all. I've had extremely aggressive terrified feral adults that make her look social at the beginning. Absolutely adorable and wonderful she was given a chance at indoor life.
Absolutely - she is the cutest thing ever and really very nice. The one we have now we got him as semi-feral young adult and wouldn't let us touch him for months. In the end it was all worth it and he's become a sort of a 'family dog' :)
she probably isn’t truly feral. She let the person pet her so quickly. I really doubt that within 3 weeks a truly feral cat would be crawling into bed with a human.
We have a stray in our garden that just randomly turned up one day. She was already an adult apparently had been caught by the local shelter, fixed and then released. Very skittish. We left a bowl of food and water for her and she kept coming to feed until she just decided to stay on. It still took her about two years before she started trusting us and let us pet her. She absolutely loves my dad, he's her human. She's recently even started to come inside the house. After three years of patience.
Took our 11 year old rescue 3 months to come downstairs, now he owns the place. Rescues need time, if you don't have time or patience, then don't get one....
Yeah she was just an abandoned, very smol and scared little baby. And human hands must be very creepy to anyone who hasn't been in contact with us before; these fleshy, grabby digits on loooong ass arms.

The way she cried for the brushing to continue was so similar to the way a hungry cat can cry out. She was literally starving for positive attention and sensations.

There's no such thing as an evil cat. There's always a reason for their behavior. It's crazy to me that people think cats somehow don't have feelings or aren't smart enough to like people. Cats rely on trust a whole lot, so give them a chance and you might find your best friend in one.
I disagree. My mom had a cat that was just NOT nice. He really didn’t have a reason. He was just very territorial and harassed visitors-he even harassed me and I lived there!
Cats, just as people, can have nasty personalitys as well tbh. My Grandmother had two cats when I grew up and they were totally different personality-wise. She wouldn’t let anyone near her, but I eventually managed to get her to warm up to me by being patient with her and before I knew it she was cuddling up to me and being a little darling. She even deemed my bed her safe space when she finally gave birth and kept being me her kittens. My cat was very jealous and not happy with me for that. Once her kittens were old enough we took her and kittens to a shelter so they could be adopted out and they were. She went from super violent to such a sweet cat, I hope her new home is treating her well.
When I went to the shelter to get a cat, they said, "You don't want That one". I felt a connection. Today five years later I have the sweetest, no longer wild, female best friend. Take the chance, they really are here more for you than them.
It HURTS my heart to hear that shelter works actually try to dissuade potential adopters from taking certain animals by saying, “You don’t want that one.” It’s not THEIR right to decide! It only takes that ONE special person to make a connection with an animal and change that animal’s life forever for the better and give them a loving forever home. Found a little kitten left alone in the streets some years ago, I gave her some water and she started following me all the way home. Even though I always thought I was a dog person and never had much contact to cats, the little decided for me to become a cat person. So first thing I did is was cleaning her paws (it was a rainy winter day and she was covered in mud) very gently with warm water, at first she was nervous but once the warm water came, she was starting purring like there is no tomorrow. After she was clean I dryed her in a very fluffy towel and sat down in my living room with her where she immediatly fell asleep. Little cat turned out to be very petit and didn´t grow after being approximately 3 month old... now she is a healthy 5 year old cat and foster mom to a double in size tomcat. To this day the shower and sink are her favourite places and she demands to get her paws washed every few days, only cat I ever saw to like water. Must´ve had a big impact on her the first time :D
I've been an intern at an animal shelter, and did socialising with a kitten once. Was a really special feeling to just sit there, slowly moving your hand a tiny bit closer every now and then, only to finally be able to pet the kitten after like 20~30 minutes.
There’s nothing called a dog person or a cat person. Its because you were firstly impressed by a dog. If you were impressed by a cat, you become a cat person. Those who refers to them as dog persons either haven’t been with cats or have seen something that made them to not like cats. Just give a chance, and you’ll fall in love with them.
@@thewhitesaucecompany I have a dog currently. I also recently had a kitten, but she died due to an infection (The vet was ignorant :( ) I used to be a "dog person" but now I love both

Nikki, thank you for rescuing, taking care of, and socializing Raggedy Ann. Even before you bathed her, I saw her beauty and potential were hiding. I’m glad she was adopted by someone who’ll take good care of her.
From her size (all that long fur makes them look bigger than they are!) I would say she couldn’t be more than about 6 months old. There is an age, for kittens/cats, that once gone beyond that age without socialization the less likely they will be able to be socialized & adopted. _However_ I have seen it done with feral pregnant cats from a RUclips channel I follow that takes care of 2 feral colonies & other cats brought to them. Most of their “feral” pregnant moms end up being adopted. I think it’s because they’re there for so long & they see humans helping take care of the kittens, & often making the mom feel better because they frequently have some sort of health issue, from dental to viral.
If a true feral manages to have enough exposure to watching other cats having positive interactions with humans and is finally brave enough to handle being stroked - miracles can happen. Most people are quick to call any outdoor cat "feral" when they are anything but. Either way, it's all about trust. Once they understand we can give them food and make them feel good with strokes and love then it's darn near impossible to peel them off of you. 💕
@@MeriLizzie yeah I agree. I think that the longer without human interaction the longer it takes to get them friendly, and the more narrow their trust. But given enough time and consistent, patient (heavy heavy on patience) attention I've seen some extremely tough street cats retire to a pet's life
Except carrying the cat in one's arms to the car. What if a passing car honked, backfired, or something else else caused the kitten to bolt? It would be back to square one.
3:57 “Top of the morning foster ma, I think I’ll just lay right here.” She is precious. Thank you once again, Nikki. You’re an amazing foster momma and an amazing and special person!
Fostered kittens like this for years and establishing trust, purring, even meowing is such a breakthrough. It’s the moment you realize all of your hard work was actually worth something. It also gives you a confirmation that this animal will be able to find a forever home. Breaking ferals on their caution to human hands, voices, overall interaction can be incredibly difficult and sometimes impossible to achieve.
My dad rescues cats. Storm his newest one was in a abusive house, and left in the flat alone for Dave days straight. Three of them days without food or water. She hated my dad at first. I was the one who found her, I’ll never forget that moment she saw me. After a few weeks and socialising with the older cats, she jumped on my dad. One morning he stroked her when he woke up. Now she sleeps on his chest and demands cuddles. It took her longer to warm up to me. She was abused by her female owner, so it’s obvious. But I noticed she’d sit and watch from afar. Then when I was eating she came up to me. She didn’t let me stroke her the usual way I do with the boys, she’d duck away if I put my whole palm on her head. It took her a little bit but that night I saw her watching me twice. Since then she”# come to me and my mam for stroked. She adores my mam. But she knows my mam is scared of her. While I’m all guns blazing, come here I’ll stroke you. I’m used to dogs, or Phoenix and Jasper who are stronger, bigger cats Jasper was bigger than my dog. Hearing her meows is like a dog toy, but I’d not change it for the world.

@@feldgeist2637 Great tip on the garlic. I wish there was more I can do. I've heard about feral cats being so covered in fleas that their gums were white from blood loss and dehydration.

@@vegskater1741 Yeah you should never give kittens dairy but plenty of feral kittens have vomitting and diarrhea. Deworming, parasites in general, change in food, stress, etc. It happens. She wasn't too bad at all. I've had extremely aggressive terrified feral adults that make her look social at the beginning. Absolutely adorable and wonderful she was given a chance at indoor life.
Adults are difficult to handle since they're already past the "socialisation window", it's not as problematic if you get them young

Nikki, thank you for rescuing, taking care of, and socializing Raggedy Ann. Even before you bathed her, I saw her beauty and potential were hiding. I’m glad she was adopted by someone who’ll take good care of her.
She is quite docile, especially for a feral cat!
0:21 First step is to knock her out with valium.
that's the thing about getting them early.
@@MeriLizzie yeah I agree. I think that the longer without human interaction the longer it takes to get them friendly, and the more narrow their trust. But given enough time and consistent, patient (heavy heavy on patience) attention I've seen some extremely tough street cats retire to a pet's life
She is just the cutest thing ever. Love her little purr
Hey
Hello
How you doing today?
She really knows what she’s doing! That rapid progress is due to her taking all the right steps at the right time.
Except carrying the cat in one's arms to the car. What if a passing car honked, backfired, or something else else caused the kitten to bolt? It would be back to square one.
@@robinm5741 Yes, I thought the exact same thing when I saw that.

“Top of the morning foster ma, I think I’ll just lay right here.”
She is precious.
Thank you for fostering! I'm an atheist and even I think there's a special place in heaven for people who care for helpless, frightened, abused or abandoned creatures.
@@xJane-Doex Its called irony. I don't believe in heaven, as I am an atheist. But this was so deserving of good will that it made me wish there WAS a heaven. Just for this.
@@xJane-Doex You can be an atheist and still believe in an afterlife. Atheism simply means not believing in a god or gods. Some atheists believe there's nothing after death, but they don't go hand in hand. (I'm an atheist who believes that there's got to be something after death, whether it's a spiritual realm or reincarnation or just a bunch of atoms floating in space.)
@@MeganVictoriaKearns animals are genuine, and they bring us closer to God... in spite of whatever one's human intellect might dictate.
My cat Boris never liked actually getting his bath, but once he had his blow-dry and a nice brushing, he would walk around the house with his head and his tail up, saying, “Smell me, baby!”
😆 haha! Cute!
My moms cats would run for life if I turned on a blow-dryer. It's loud. And it sounds like a vacuum cleaner. A cat's enemy number one.
absolutely love that you named your cat boris. 10/10 name
@@esthermigo3009 I took his mother in as a stray. She promptly gave birth to 3 little boy kittens. Because of the colors on their paws, I named them White Socks, Gray Socks, and No Socks. White Socks and Gray Socks were adopted by friends, and I kept the mama and No Socks. I soon named them Boris and Natasha because I was a huge fan of the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.
... so Boris' full name became "Boris No Socks."
I've never seen a cat respond so well to a bath! She's a beautiful little girl.
But we didn’t see the foster lady’s trip to the E.R.! Seriously tho, she was excellent with the kitten, gentle and soft spoken, wasn’t she?. 🐾 ❤️
I always thought that you couldn't bathe a cat.
@@georgemaster689 It depends on the cat. My black cat Shroud LOVES water. He'll cry outside the bathroom door when I'm showering because he wants in, and will roll around in the water on the floor afterwards because I didn't let him in. I picked up a small plastic kiddie pool for him last year because he absolutely loves water and swimming.
Now, my Tortie named Hati? She'll scream bloody murder like she's being waterboarded at the mention of the words bath or shower.
I bath my cat twice a week. She has a tumor (cancer) on her face and can’t groom herself, so I try to do it for her.
@@vandeolkon That's nice that you do that.
God bless for all you did for her....she will shine in her forever home!!❤
