I enjoyed it but found it a very weird that they just completely ignored the mystery of the Shadow attacks that Matt set up and didn't direct Angel to investigate it. You'd think they'd want revenge for the members of their company who were slain at the very least.
Tosh Omni I think they were operating under the assumption that that knight they met had been telling the truth that there had been 2 other attacks like this at other random locations. Huge credit to Matt. He absolutely killed it playing both Angel and Sumat Pol! Fantastic episode, might be my favorite thus far. With each week, the players inhabit their characters a little more and more. Great stuff to watch!

Holy shit Matt builds an intricate and interesting game. This is why I like watching The Chain. Also, these players have a good blend of being nerds who are just there to play D&D combined with role playing. More low key games like that where players will actually discuss tactics is my preferred style to watch. Most DnD shows try too hard to emulate Critical Role and I think that's a mistake. I like that The Chain is just letting their show be their show, and one of the biggest strengths of it is how they just let their players be players instead of trying to force them into being actors like other DnD streaming shows have tried. o.d. is easily my favourite right now!
That drow lady saw them and wanted them to do that task for her to get the Crown. That's cool
Could they do a Yojimbo or fist full of dollars and play one party against each other? Go to a broad sheet a spread the rumor that you were hired by an anonymous patron and take over a district and watch who comes calling
Exactly
"All you pink skins look the same" -listening to this after watching Enterprise is fun
Anna with the highest pitched voice in the world: Do I look like a lady to you? :D:D:D
Good gods, you guys never played with truly evil DMs...
Matt is great. Most... Heck, all, DMs I ever played with, deliberately screw you over by changing the rules on the fly against you or fudge the rolls against you and some just put events against you just because it will screw you over.
Whatever wankery Matt is doing is harsh, but fair, since Matt doesn't get a kick out of feeling superior over the "stupid players".
Kill a client, get membership ! Also they forgot to ask about the cannons !
Man, I love this episode!
They call me, fuzzy bunny slippers
I can’t be the only one who wants an Ordin campaign setting after Kingdoms and Warfare
Matt could sit at a table with 6 cardboard cutouts of people and still run a whole campaign, and do it epically.
"We just do hearts."
That was real good.
Is the lizard a Winslow? I mean he is Extremely important..
Otiluke was the sphere spell. Gosh, but I'm a nerd.
1:43:38 I get that Two Shoes has seen what Boots has going on, but I ship her more with Judge cuz like with the respect and slight animosity they’re basically already married
Two Shoes is a Paladin. Judge is literally in service to the King of the Nine Hells.
Next time you're in Wisco let us know Matt. Dope accent, was not expecting at all!
Duke Orsino. Ha. Twelfth night reference.
Is it weird that I liked this episode more than one with combat?
Sumat Pol kills me, funniest NPC I've seen in a long time.
Matt and Tom's roleplay
Anybody else notice Sumat Pol is Canadian
Mind BLOWN!!!!
