I succumbed to the hype and purchased this product. I have a dreadful problem getting a match with foundation. I've got a yellow undertone and so many products oxidise and turn orange on me. I am very happy with this foundation, it matches perfectly and I love how it feels on my skin. So happy dance for me.
I got my perfect shade when I first tried this in 2020 - 170. its actually worth the hype
I've been looking for a review on this foundation. A teacher at the school where I work wears this foundation and her skin looks good.

I love the way this foundation looks on YOU. I bought some, and my foundation color was fairly YELLOW. That color calms down somewhat over time, the coverage is good, it doesn't cake too much, and it feels nice. But I do not think I got the right color ... and I'm wondering about ordering the "next" fair/really fair color in the lineup ... but for $45, I kind of think it should be AMAZING. I love your channel. After watching your video, maybe I will try it WITHOUT the primer and see how it goes ....

I bought this - and a concealer. And, like you, I was amazed at the color matching. It seemed a bit dry to me though. I didn't think it might be my primer though. Good tip!

I actually got a perfect match with this - just repurchased. I like their concealer better than any other one I’ve tried. I was so surprised that it was so good.
I bought this a couple of months ago. It matches my colour exactly! Quite a nice foundation and lovely customer service.
They have the color match quiz down to a science. All companies need to do this!
That was a very good and honest review Bobbie. I like that you can get an exact match for your skin tone - that's amazing really. But 45.00 is cost prohibitive for my budget.
It is amazing but there are plenty of amazing drugstore as well.
I bought and sent back. The color was spot on but it goes into fine lines. It is for young skin.

Great review. This is my favorite foundation. My skin is mature and dry. I use it with Benefit Porefessional. The color match is perfect and I get a nice amount of coverage and great wear time.
Oh, I have that primer. I’ll try it with it. I do think I’ll like it more when it’s warmer.
Their primer made me breakout, and the foundation caked in my fine lines (making them a LOT less Fine). I tried just the foundation and it still caked. They sent me After Party to try instead and it was even thicker. My $12 Walmart foundation is way better on my face! After Party is an amazing base layer for tattoo coverup though, but the thicker it is, the darker it dries. I used XFX Finish bodypaint sealer, then Dermablend to layer back to my tone.
Try the full coverage version. That is the one I have and I really like it!!! I’m 59 with dry skin, hyperpigmentation,very dark under eye circles. I use a serum and moisturizer (Tacha) I prefer it with the Tatcha primer as it is far more moisturizing. I don’t powder at all and I use the all nighter setting pray.
Funny, I just saw their ad on tv last night and decided to try it and hopefully be happy with the results. Wish I had seen this video first but at least their return policy is good so I’m not concerned. Thank you for all your reviews…have a great weekend.

Bobbie, this is so helpful when it comes to making a decision to spend money on makeup. For $45, I would hope that a foundation would perform better than this one did..I mean how many formulations can there be in the world which would be safe to apply on yr face? It seems like all of these companies would have to follow a basic recipe, right? So what additional ingredients could they add that would make it worth $45 for a fluid ounce?! I may have missed it, but is there a foundation that you have tried that you would pay $45 or more to have? With the price of everything going up, that $45 is becoming more dear to a lot of folks. I am glad that you are sensible in yr reviews. I enjoy your quirky ways…I love quirky. 🥰
Thanks Terri! Haha, I do have a bit of quirk in me! I agree with you. It does seem that if you are going to price something soooo high, it better do what you say it's going to do better than the $10-$15 foundation. Honestly...I don't think I've tried one foundation that is high priced that I believe is worth it yet. Of course, I have many more to try - Yikes!
i got the primer which helps dramatically with the coverage and also the concealer which I apply after the foundation to hide the blemishes. The setting spray is divine.
So the color is amazing.. However.. the longer the wear it started to look like glue that had dried on the forehead. I didn't see any creases until after the makeup was on. Just an observation. Great video.
Don't know anything about the foundation, but I absolutely LOVE their mascara!

When I answered the questions to get my "perfect foundation." I said I like radiant foundation & I have a cool undertone. They chose a matte foundation, with a warm undertone for me.
I was going to say to try a different primer. I have a few different ones and they all act in their own way with some foundations. I won’t bother with this foundation so thanks for the review.

I also purchased this and the concealer, I’m really curious about their primer. It’s supposed to blur pores and blemishes. Maybe you could try it with the foundation considering their all part of the same brand.

Great review! I really liked the close ups you did in this video! For me, sometimes is hard to describe what I am seeing in a foundation application and you described (and showed!) it perfectly.

I did the test for colors of this foundation Ilmaki and was turned off on the price. My interpretation is It’s not giving you the longevity for the price. Ooh, not a fan of the caking. Lots of see thru. Yeah , over priced. I agree a drugstore foundation has better options . I love my cover girl outlast foundation. Im using a pawpaw sponge to apply. And I just love the pawpaw sponge. Thank you for reviewing pawpaw sponges. I bought them on your recommendation. For me these are So much better then any other sponge I’ve used. It does take a while to ship to my home. Definitely will buy papaw sponges again.
Great video Bobbie :) The shade of foundation was a perfect match. I have in the past purchased high end cosmetics, most companies that make the same high end products are also the available at the drug store. The packaging may look nice on the vanity but the product itself isn't any better than the drug store especially if the same company makes it. Have you tried the Maybelline Fit Me hydrate foundation? Rosacea zit... I'm dying. When I turned 50 I got a zit a day, Just one little pore but one a day. Went to a dermatologist for a general scan and he said I had rosacea. Well I bought the Clarisonic and as long as I used it I never broke out again. Since it has been discontinued... I'm not looking forward to mine dying. Since it's 17 years later maybe I've out grown the zits, fingers crossed.
Bobbie what was the name or number of the color you used? Curious because I'm Punjab in the Nars you just reviewed and I noticed you were too. It looked nice on you I thought. Very few foundations do I repurchase. Especially the pricey ones. I have to really like it or want it for an occasion. Anyway, look forward to more foundation reviews from you. Hi Bobbie, they did that to me, but they didn't have the right March for me, they sent me to dark of a shade to me, so l sent it back to them, even though they keep trying to send me another shade, but l won't let them, hugsssss ❤❤

I tried this. It was awful on my skin. It would fill my pores like cement. It was also way too light. Didn't match. I looked like a ghost. Nope, not for me. I have been using Covergirl Outlast Active Foundation for years now, as it's the only foundation that will even out without settling in my pores or magnify the texture of my skin, but now it starts to get a little dry, as my skin got drier, so I am shopping around for my next foundation. I have a very hard time finding one that works. I am 61. Il Makiage did not do it for me.
I did the test and got a different foundation called next gen full coverage foundation.45 shade 🤷♀️they have a try before you buy opinion too.

I've tried two colors and both are too dark. Found it was too thick and emphasized the fine lines around my mouth. ☹️ And I tan within minutes so my color changes weekly, hard to pick a color. I don't usually wear foundation so I'm probably not applying it perfectly. Returning mine, giving up.🤷🏻♀️
What number did they match you with? I did the test, and it said #75, but my skin looks pretty close to yours?

I spent $300 on a lot of Look Fab Forever makeup products and it pilled, caked and made my eyes burn so bad. They did give a refund and were very nice. Can you tell me what your color was on this? I think I am the same as you.
I’ve tried two color and both were wrong. Too pink/red.
I’m 46 and was wondering if it enhanced your pores. I feel like whenever I wear foundation, even with Lancôme primer and Shisheido foundation, it enhances my pores.
I didn’t notice it enhancing my pores at all.

I tried it and ended up returning it. I have combo oily skin and this one didn’t last on me at all. The match was great but the formula not so much.
I like their return policy. I like that they stand behind their claims and give you the out.
I've never seen a skin product that you aren't supposed to use with your hands. This is crazy to me and hard to believe but I do have very sensitive skin. Anytime I use a brush or sponge, even perfectly clean ones and with products that I use all the time, my face breaks out the next day. I'm convinced that it's just that extra bouncing, rubbing, pouncing is just irritating to my skin. Anyone else experience this?

I think mine is gonna be to light, I should've got the color y did, we seem to have the same complexion, and they are sending me shade 60 😵💫
