Never heard of them ...until this Glastonbury performance. Fever Ray is easily the best thing I have ever seen, heard or experienced. Every song they did was powerfully mesmerising to watch. So easy to fall deeply in love with their music and visual performance. It's like being entranced by some brilliant magical force! They are a genius awesome unique creation.
Just spent the day checking out their previous incarnation - The knife ..... O M G ....my head is doing cartwheels. So glad to have found them ....but so bloody annoyed to be so late to have missed this particular party! ☺
Karin is one of my greatest musical loves. The Knife in my mind are the greatest band of the last 20 years. Fever Ray scratches that itch while creating something similar but completely new
I saw Fever Ray at Glastonbury and honestly knew nothing about them beforehand other than they did the Viking intro song. They blew me and my friend away and we both agreed it was the best show of the festival👍🏻
Wait until you find out about the Knife (her and her brother). The Dreijer family are royalty when it comes to Electronic music. I can bet my right hand this song is produced by her brother Olof. He’s bloody brilliant.
Karin Dreijer amazing as *always*. I saw one of their first ever shows (Their second i think) at the Arvika festival in Sweden many, many years ago. Still incredible.
Most of this is backing track and sequenced samples - aside from the vocalists there's someone adding percussion and then a keys player (who is using some sort of wind midi controller by the looks of it) and there's a lot more going on musically than just that. It's common practice especially with electronic genres, however using them is by no means the marker of a 'good' or 'bad' live act or performance!
I took this as an attack on Bill Nomates, who stripped down her live show to just her and a backing track and took a lot of awful abuse for it, and I think a lot of folks really don't understand what a live performance really is. The other comment does a good job of explaining it, but to echo: yes, most of this IS a backing track. Most of the "full bands" you see are often using live click tracks too.
They were here a few weeks ago. I know, because I reminded my self to go on their mailing list in case of a world tour. But I forgot. About a month later, I then checked them out again on youtube to find that they had just been here!
this is the 3rd tour in the life of Fever Ray (of almost what? 15 years?), Im so excited to see her in Corona Capital Mexico and i'm wishing hear something of Karin if it's not too much to ask...
Didn't see any of her set over the weekend, I think the Beeb gave TOO much coverage to other artists. Great clip!! I've loved Fever Ray since her incredible debut album!
Song is absolutely great and mesmerizing but the visual performance, also in the official music video, is just over the top…nuts. This isn’t art anymore but pre-insanity. Such a shame.
Beatle Juice on stage for a limited time! Accompanied by a thick cast. LOL. Music is awesome though. Although, much rather listen than watch! To 'euro' crazy for my weak heart.
First of all, I would never ask anyone to text while driving. All Mike (and every driver before him) was doing was texting me before he said after he that got me police officer left a prize prize happy emoji shart. That’s it.
@@adamwright4135it's nothing to do with age...I'm a 65 year old granddad and I've watched the whole set twice on BBC iPlayer. It was the best thing at Glsstonbury.

Welcome 🎉🎉🎉
same here, and I’ve been obsessed since! Their music isnt only amazing but its an experience
@funkylivingroom8753 Yeah Karin has made some remarkable music! Always great to see more people discovering them!
That little head flick from the drummer at the end .....They are loving what they do
One of my favorite songs of this year. Beautiful synths, great melodies and rhythms. Typical Fever Ray.
received bad reviews. but is my fav track of the year by far. stunning masterpiece.
Karin is one of my greatest musical loves. The Knife in my mind are the greatest band of the last 20 years. Fever Ray scratches that itch while creating something similar but completely new
My Spotify number 1 song of the year. Thanks Fever Ray
Their music is some of the best of the past 20 years
Love Fever Ray
ON repeat ..what a performance! Love her to bits.
Absolutely mesmerizing!
Every time I see this I get Jimmy from "Liquid Sky" vibes... love it!
Anyone else feel the same?
Highlight of the whole festival for me, simply brilliant 👏
Me too I never ever heard of them but this song is just sublime
The best by far! Love Fever Ray ❤️❤️❤️
ME TOO!!!!!
Beautyful warm and dark! What you create with light , costume and dancing ist just amazing! Thanks for sharing! You're a real Highlight!

In my top 3 too.
Didn't want it to end ❤
I was there too. Best set of the weekend for us. Minds blown.
One of the best live performances I’ve ever seen 😊

They didn't made the Viking intro song. The TV show used it as the intro. The album Fever Ray was released in 2009. ;)

With The Knife?
@@mattiassvanberg8292 Yup!
My friend was at this concert, front row. I had just introduced her to them a few weeks before the show! 😂
Good job.
It's a crime that the full set isn't on here. One of the best performances ive ever seen at glastonbury.
If you wanted the full set… you’re welcome drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ahZphyeJS6JLz7RJFFKkYNckrjuPBfl6
Saw them in Chicago a few months ago and it was transcendent. Absolute killer live set.
I was at that show too man. Loved every minute!
So many unique artists . Great to see so many enjoying and having a great time. Glastonbury looks like a really awesome concert 👏👏👏Love to go 🎶🎶✨✨❤️👏
saw live. incredible music. the full package!!
Incredible, what a performance. So talented.
Great set one of the best of the festival
Beautiful set. Loved it!
Lived it!
I got the fever x
Absolutely mesmerizing ❤
my little girl LOVES you music!
Best set of festival for me
If you get it, you get it ❤
Just magic! Beautyful
The great thing about Fever Ray is you know it is live, not just going thru the motions to backing tracks, same with Queens of the Stone Age.

@@louisr5708 Obviously there are samples and sequencers, but any time I've seen Fever Ray, it's live, often very different from the album tracks!

I was like, hey this sounds a lot like The Knife. I didn't realise that one of them went solo.
it's a magic!!!
Amazing 🤩
Great set from Fever Ray at Glasto this year.
Uma obra de Arte essa música! Tudo perfeito.
Parabéns Fever Ray pelo excelente trabalho.
just great. Her Berlin Gig was canceled and I missed out on the tour. so sad.
Love 🖤
Please i beg of you come to australia...... please i have been waiting 14 years....... its to long 😭😭

such a shame to live in the UK and missing to see fever ray at Glastonbury!
Essa música é hipnotizante, impossível escutar somente uma vez 😎❤️🎵

Anyone know the name of the performers either side of Karin please? They were also phenomenal.
Helena Gutarra and Maryam Nikandish
@@Tauindi Thank you!! ^_^
The 3 of them make extraordinary sounds together.
So cool.

Love the 80s ❤
so unique
La melodía de la pista es muy pegadiza, de las mejores canciones del 2023
Why do i love her gestures at about 1.37 seconds so much... such a vibrant joyfull funny seductive performance 😍😍😍😍
What if I die with a song inside...see you in Amsterdam Feb 27th. Can't wait
Superb

This is so creepy but the song is great

The complete set is on iplayer for a few more weeks.

I hope this works for you drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ahZphyeJS6JLz7RJFFKkYNckrjuPBfl6
Like Grace Jones and the Residents got together in a nightclub…quite good 👍🏽✊🏽🤘🏽
Sorry (not sorry) but I was hoping to see Olof in his little spangly suit (and for someone to chop that flipping flag down)
Fever Ray is her or the whole band?
i mean like ya'll kinda scare me. lol. i love glastonbury.
Puscifer vibes 🎉
Is that an aerophone?
Yes, DWI
David Byrne called ... he wants his suit back
It's a friendly loan
@@5050TM 🤣
So diff from her earlier work... The song where she is on a diving board...is it even the same singer 🤔
Yes, this is the same musician. All of their albums and projects sound different from the others.
I loved The Knife but this is really becoming very embarrassing.
She should start a band, maybe with her brother.
The live performance is SO good. Seen it twice. But this is just the album version of the song on top of the visuals. So disappointing...
Not sure if they have gone full degenerate, or are parodying degeneracy. It's a shame, musically Fever Ray are genius.
I think it's neither
The fuck happened to Fever Ray?? I miss the old native style with strong feminine looks and vocals
that's always there for you. go back if u must.
this is new and perfect
@@nono-ul3wy I do, but I want more. New stuff sucks
hmmm that was, interesting
