    Roden blew up to like 300lbs before he died. Not taking gear? Complete denial.

    IDK why I’m seeing this, but anyway…
    Roden was suicidal. Period. That’s the dark conversation nobody wants to have.

    This is just denial. It is playing Russian roulette with your lifespan, and how one's individual physiology responds dictates how long they can play. But that could be said for smoking, alcohol or, in fact, many other factors that can affect lifespan.

      About 4-5 million people in the US abuse AAS. That’s more than 1% of the population.
      Compared to the relatively low number of deaths we hear about of AAS users, it’s a relatively benign class of drugs.
      There are literally 10s of thousands of competitive bodybuilders out there. We hear about the occasional death here or there and automatically attribute it to gear use and that’s just wrong. Correlation =\= causation.

    • @overcome.podcast
      @overcome.podcast  Месяц назад +1

      @@Oscar-fi1ev most certainly people die from drug abuse in Bodybuilding, BUT it is mostly due to a heart attack, oftentimes, Id contribute taht to sheer mass, the heart has to support and maybe also stimulants other recreational drugs (a lot of BB unfortunately dont stop at steroids), and maybe very bad lipids (so blood is more likely to clot).
      so the steroids are being blamed but in my book they are rather number 4 of the "killers" than number one. Even for the bodybuilders

      yes, like you said, but Russian Roulette is a very poor comparison, you have way more control over your health, IF you want, by screening and monitoring, and health measures that counteract or can minimize bad effects

      @@overcome.podcast In a perfect world, having your blood checked regularly is great, but here in the UK, money is tight and having run a gym for thirty years, most users do not bother, hence " Russian roulette"

    It has nothing to do with roids XD this drugs addicts would create any reality where what they do is not wrong.

      Talk without knowing anything balky the person! Shawn was the least consistent with steroids, he as always missing shots, he couldn’t even take a bait himself ! Lot of shit talkers here… gotta love the internet keyboard warriors and in front of you they suck your dick GTFO
