Hi there… I just want to say how awesome and badass I think you are. What you are accomplishing is so much harder that people realize. On my recent hiking trip , I truly struggled being away from my husband and children. Your bravery and strength is to be commended. Go get it done🎉
Thanks for this video. I have been watching videos of different techniques to crossing the rivers all night since seeing your struggles. You are an inspiration
I’m so impressed that you were able to cross that river! Some hikers have ended their hike because of the high rushing water. I would have loved to see that circle technique, but totally understand why you had to put the phones away!
When river crossing please please please undo your waist strap and your chest strap as that southbounder did. Also take your hands out of your straps for the trekking poles! This lets you escape your backpack and poles if you would fall in. 😊
Wow! I'm so glad y'all were able to make it across safely. I'm continuing to keep you in my prayers Renee. May God continue to keep you & your trails safe.
WOW - know wonder you're tired and can't remember what you wanted to say. Adrenaline crash! But you did it! And I thank you for sharing that! I still have lots to learn.
Well done especially with the rain. lad your group figured a way to get across the "stream". And thank you for the detail in this section as I'm planning to do that section (VT to beaver Brook) in Sept - hopefully when it is drier. Take care and again thank you (and Eddy) for the videos.
You have developed an amazing attitude, even in the face of diversity, bad weather and other obstacles. Your eyes show your determination. I’m sure there will be tears in the future but you got this!!!
Wow,, that's a whole lot of stress and danger for one day. Plus high mileage for nasty conditions. I'm glad you're all safe and sound. Better catch a breather and rest a bit before you continue on. Hopefully the weather gets better. That's not safe in those conditions. Good night! Sending prayers for safety.
WOW. Renee you have certainly turned into a great hiker! 😊 You are confident, Determined, and HAPPY! Great job on that river crossing! So glad Soup Cup got you all over safely! Rest up & Hike On. Praying for you and your buddies! 🙏🥾🏕️🧗♀️🇺🇸.
If you are fording rivers you should undo the chest and waist straps on your pack so if the worst happens and you get swept away the pack can come off and doesn't drag you under and gives you a better chance of survival 😊👍
Congratulations. FYI, the past couple of decades, the term is four PERSON circle. Like three PERSON tent. To, you know, acknowledge that women exist, and to make things less male-worshippy.
@@anneoconnor3614 everyone undid their packs. We stood in a circle in the stream and each held each others shoulder strap in a circle. Then one person at a time took a small step in a circular motion across the stream. This happened really quickly and is a very stable way to cross.
Give me a break! Typical wokester ruining a once great Republic! I am surprised you didn’t give us your “pronoun”! What a soft country we have become - unlike the majority, like “Couch”, hiking this Trail. FYI

14.7 in THOSE conditions is just amazing! Exhausted physically and mentally is totally understandable. You, Rene, are something else! 👏🥾⛰️
