Women use the sanitary thin pads so when they stop to pee they don’t have to worry about getting paper out of their pack to wipe and it keeps your underwear clean to wear multiple days before washing. Then you just throw them in a ziplock bag each night and trash them when you get to a trash can. I have used them for years and they can make your hiking much more enjoyable. I tried the pee cups and it just didn’t work for me.
We just LOVE these Couch Talk conversations...no one can do them better. -- Eddie _ I can visualize your huge smile behind the camera. -- So glad y'all are safely home -- for none of us is the JOurneY done in life (nothing special), but it is special that families like you are enJOYing the daily discoveries and interactions.
So good to see your smile! Cheers to you and may you continue to heal. Sending best wishes for a good school year….and we all look forward to future videos!
I use a pee rag, too, along with a lady j. Very happy with it. Before microbial rags, we used natural sponges to rinse ourselves off. We’d get a pan full of water and get some distance from the water source and sluice off using it. I never went to bed dirty if I could help it; it would have to be blowing rain or snow when we skipped it. You sleep warmer clean. I’ll be looking for one of your rags.
Thanks for letting us know how your recovery is going. So pleased you are making progress. Couch to crutches is only a short phase. Continue improving and thanks again for keeping your channily informed. Eddie, please give her a BIG HUG .
Hey Couch! I wanted to send you a SOBO Father & Son to watch when you are hanging around at home recovering. Their RUclips Channel is Malcolm MacGregor. Looking forward to more video’s from you.
Thank you for this gear video! Very helpful! A 70L pack? WOW! I couldn’t! You are strong, girl! I have a 40L for my ‘24 thru. I figured I’ll get all the essentials in there and if it doesn’t fit-well, I probably don’t need it lol! Anyway, thanks again! And BTW-I’ve HAD a broken pelvis, so I KNOW your pain. Ugh! Praying for full recovery for you, Renee. Take care. . . ❤️
What tights did you use? You are such an inspiration for me. I have CM/CFS and sady have allowed myself to become pretty much a shut-in. Because of you, I have begun collecting some gear and plan on doing some local hiking as soon as NC gets out of the 105-107 heat index.
Thanks for the review Renee. I had just gotten myself the Topos and tried them out on trail yesterday. And they are aahhhmazing! We look forward to seeing you finish the trail one day! With my daughters being young we cannot do as many miles as you in a day but we'd love to meet up and do a section with you. Heal well. We will miss your videos!❤
You could call your pack “Cheers”.😊
Garage Grown Gear and Dixie from Homemade Wonderlust- Very helpful videos. Thanks for sharing all your gear updates!
Thank you so much for doing this video. Very helpful and gave me some new ideas!! Continued healing blessings 🙌
