Matt, Enjoyed your OBS vide, well explained and clear to understand. However, wheat I am looking for is to record from two cameras at the same time but in different screens (files). These two DIFFERENT video files will then be brought into Corel Video studio and edited by interlacing the scenes as if two cameras were recording both from different locations without having bot camera views in the same video frame.
idk why but only one camera works at a time.. then i have to close obs and reset and then switch.. doesnt work at all for me and my pc and i gota new computer 2020 asus
Mr. Matt thank you so much. I have a question, I hope you can answer me, please. Can we connect two or three Kinect v2 cameras to on PC or LAPTOP? If that is possible, how I can do that?
I was looking for a vid like this. I want to run 2 razer kiyo pro cams at the same time in my obs studios stream. I had to make sure before I buy another one
Hi Matt, thanks for your video! maybe i missed some information on previous videos, cause I am still struggeling. Can i connect my 2 Logitech Webcams through an USB Hub if I can use only 1 of my Usb Ports on macbook pro? do you maybe have any suggestions for an external mic to use with this setup? I need to live stream an event with more than one person talking and walking around. appreciate a lot and thanks again.
I've had problems with obs for a while now...you make it look so easy...I cant use two logitech cameras as there both c920s and it refuses to allow both to work at the same time...very frustrating as the c920s are good cameras why logitech don't allow you to change the settings allowing more than one to work at the same time...anyway I can enable them to be used together. Regards
You may need to purchase a USB hub and connect one camera to the hub and one directly to the computer. I did this with my Logitech webcams and it was only then able to see both cameras.
I added 2 1080p cameras to OBS, it freezes either 1 or both cameras after a few minutes, I have to unplug/plug to reestablish the video. I have an i7 16gb ram gtx1660 , I would think it should handle it. Any ideas?
I am trying to use 3 cameras but if camera one and 2 are active camera 3 won’t work but if I change camera 1 or 2 to camera 3 the camera works. I can’t figure out how to get all 3 working at the same time though. Any advice you can help with?
How do u make the camera show duplicates images of yourself in one scene? Ive seen ppl do it but I cant figure out how, and i was told u can do it with just one camera. I want to set it to a hotkey and then use it with a push of a button like. I did the same thing when i do the close up shot zoom as well thx
im actually mega irritated atm XD for some reason... despite having both obs wont use both at the same time and idk why lol but your video is great! im just getting a dumb glitch lol
Great tutorial thank you!!! Ok do now I have two angles recorded simultaneously- how do I edit them (simultaneously-ie if I chop 10 seconds out of the middle of one, I want it gone from both)- apologies for my noobie speak- thanks again ❤️
Might be kinda late but try plugging your second webcam to a different USB port. I have one webcam plugged to front of PC and one plugged into back. For some reason, one webcam won't work if they're both plugged into the back of PC.
If we r doing facebook live, and ppl are mostly viewing it in potrait/vertical/straight facing mode. How to set up a nice dual cameras or so called picture in pictures facebook live?
Short and sweet! Thank you!
Excellent tutorial! Clear and concise and was exactly what I was looking for so thank you for posting!
Thank you for your guide, it's concise! I am linking your video to friends to help people in setting up multi-camera setups.
Thank you! This was very well presented. It really helped me get a better idea about OBS.
Thx for making it simple. I had to close OBS & restart OBS for it to detect both cameras with 2 live cameras

Hey, I really liked the video. Do you know how to possibly connect 2 or more DSLR cameras to OBS using HDMI cables?
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO.... I will be using this for my very young elearning child!
When your recording does obs record the split screen or can it record each camera for future editing?
Thanks that helped me get two going.

Which brio do you use? Great quality
just what I needed, thank you
But can you use 2 webcams, on one computer to record? In using 2 Elgato FaceCams , and can't seem to get it to record both cams
Mr. Matt thank you so much.

The video is great but I do exactly the same thing and my second camera doesn't show up. I've been fighting with this for awhile. Please help!

How do you save them to separate files?
If one of the cameras is 30fps and the other is inputting 60fps, can you still output (stream) in 60 fps or will OBS default to the lowest?

very interesting for a new-b.. just getting started with OBS, this could be a great tool when working with opencv? thanks a lot...:)
Do we need a Webcam? are you able to do this with a DSLR or multiple GoPros?
How bout a go pro and 2 cellphone cameras?! Great video! Thanks
Much obliged thanks great
is this possible to do while live streaming?
Absolutely
@@MattSkalski it took me a few tries but I finally figured it out! thank you! your video is the most helpful one I have seen!
How did you get two cameras into a single USB slot in your computer? Did you have two USB slots?
Two USB slots.
Although I bet if you had a hub it would work fine. Especially if it's USB 3.0.

It would create one video, so there's no way to edit one without the other being edited simultaneously.

Anyone know if this same principle works with the OBS for mac? Also, which external cams are compatible with mac?
Yes
my obs wont let me use 2 webcams?
How do you connect the camera to the computer
Plug it where you think it should be plugged.
Thanks!

Same process for picture in picture, but neither OBS nor Facebook live that I'm aware can output in portrait orientation.
