Hi Linda I'm more than a year in my job as civil engineer (1st job). Yes I learn new things it's just that it is not the vision for my career I am looking for. Is enough reason to leave my current job?

Yup after 29 years and rapid changes in management and that gut feeling comes along it’s then time to look at your options think things through and maybe it’s best to move on. I just sent my current boss my goodbye. It’s not a feeling of spitefulness but a feeling-of knowing it’s time to go.
1. You're not learning anything new 2. You regularly feel drained 3. You've been in this job for a good couple of time 4. You know what your next job looks like and it ain't here 5. You just feel ready to leave
I feel that my time working with children is ending. I’m not happy and have lost my passion for working with kids. It’s only been around 2 years but this industry is not expanding my skills anymore and I feel bored just trying to keep kids entertained.
Every day your sick to your stomach knowing you have to return to your place of employment. I stayed too long. One day I got up from my desk and left for good. I am now unemployed but feel so much better. When I do return to work I will quit if it is in an unhealthy environment. The money is not worth the misery of being packed in like cattle.
I mean sounds understandable, but how do you maintain yourself after quitting and being unemployed? (don't answer), that Sounds rough, unless you won the lottery.
When some people around me at my office disrespect my value and blindly don't appreciate my work and skills, it's time to quit. It's not the job that i hate, but the people i work with...
I loved your comment: if I am not happy with the work I do, then I am not happy. Period. Totally me. Tomorrow i start a new job. Such peace of mind I have.
Jorge Suárezvelandia having difficulty dealing with the feeling of starting over. I drive 60 miles a day and it takes a toll on my body and personal life, but it’s what I’m used to 😔
When your boss no longer respects you, or your accomplishments, Talks behind your back etc... I'm putting in my resignation hopefully by the end of the week. Think my plan B (at the competitors) is just about lined up and I can hardly wait to start a new chapter.
@@Fordriasdance Well, a year later I'm at my new current job. They say the grass isn't always greener on the other side. But for me, I can happily say yes it is!! My stress level is down an incredible amount. Good luck to you in all your endeavors.
I've been working on my first job after graduation for about 5 months. I'm consistently underperformed in every area of my job scope. I tried hard to improve the circumstances and my leader had been helpful all the time, though the improvement is minimal if not stagnant. Reasons could be lack of competency and personality unfit. Burnout, anxiety and depression haunt me for months. I feel suffocated.
This is so relatable. This is my first job after graduation, I’m in my fourth month, and I’m seriously thinking of quitting. I can do this job well but I cannot handle so many things and people at once. I feel like I’ve reached my breaking point and even my manager admits that I shouldn’t be alone in this…
@@yenningchua9607 Just to let you know, I did not give up nor quit the job, and managed to become one of the top performer. It's been more than 2 years, and I'm moving on to my 2nd job in a couple of months, which certainly look promising. Reach out and seek help. Be sure to have your ways to release stress. It's okay to take a break. Set goals with timelines, and different approaches to achieving it. Work hard on it, but don't forget to take care of health and relationship. There will be times that you feel down and defeated, but also times that you can see your growth and achievements. Quitting your current job is one of the solutions. It takes huge courage, but don't let it admit your failure and hinder you to move forward. So long this decision will benefit your mental health and aligns with your long term financial/career goals. All the best, I pray the best for you.
@@spicysourchicken7181 I’m happy for you and thank you so much for your advice 🙏 All the best to you as well and I hope your 2nd job will be better for you overall :) Keep up the good work, but don’t forget to take care of your health 🙏
I knew I had to leave my last job for two reasons: 1. I dreaded going to work each morning. 2. Everytime I came home, I always nagged to my wife about the day.
When you’re working with other women who are competitive and manipulative.... when you do your very best but you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.... just get out and find something worth your time and energy.
When I’m currently working I have only had 1 coaching from my boss and it was an interaction with HR. He was requesting for me to do all my tasks faster so he can load more tasks into my list. That’s the only interaction and feedback I’ve had so far. Feeling dread every morning to know you have to work in a place you don’t like is awful, even worse when you start to get sick from stress.
My advice to anyone contemplating leaving their job is as follows when your “done“ it’s time to go! At my previous job I went through all sorts of emotions from pigeonholed, sadness, despair, anger, emptiness, boredom, destitute, misery, etc., etc., etc. Then one day I woke up and just said to myself “I’m done with this place“ and began my exit. Two months later I left that place and started working a job where things were MUCH better for me! I’m happier, full of life, there’s opportunities for me for advancement and I look forward to going to work now. So remember, you may go through several emotions if your job is not doing you right and you feel like there is no opportunities there but when you’re done, you’re done! That is when it’s time to leave.
That’s what I did. One night I said I done with that job cuz of bad managers. So I text my Gm, who never answers my text unless she want to and that a blue moon, and she reply faster than ever as in what happen? Didn’t give my two week either and I highly recommend y’all don’t either
I agree. Leaving a job often frees up your time to look for other work or earn another certification. This is especially true if you work long hours or have a long commute.
but it is a risk because we don't know how long we can get another job..only if you have saving that enough for 6 months or 1 year then you can quit and focus in finding a new job
During the pandemic, it’s a luxury to feel this way. I was demoted to an entry level position because of business needs changing due to the pandemic and I feel like I have stepped back 8 years in my career. I want to leave and everyday is agonizing, but am having trouble transitioning into a new job. Being unemployed is scary at this point with all the uncertainty.
I understand that, we are understaffed and overworked for less money than we deserve. We are micro managed. They take away our paid holidays. We get 5 days of paid leave that includes sick time. It sucks. But I can't leave bc the job market isn't good right now and I need to pay my bills.
@@shelby8474 Though the market is tough, it does have opportunities if you reach out to your network. Identify folks that you may know at companies that you see yourself wanting to work at. Wishing best of luck as I know the feeling and made the change.
@@shelby8474 hold up they can't do that..depending on your state some have actually increased paid sick time. Thanks Linda for helping me realize it was time for me to leave, even though I am considered a good employee, now I am at job I'm happy with getting recognized and receiving awards at my current employer.
For me it was workplace violence, by a new manager and then a new supervisor. Both had extreme hatred toward me especially the newly appointed supervisor and both from what I hear are still there. Strangely though there seems to be high turnover now at that place and I'm glad I no longer work there. I moved into another job and even worse people were there so I promptly left that one too. Shortly after I left that one two managers were fired, I think over my leaving (there seemed to be an in depth investigation) and then about 2 years later the associate director of HR resigned, I think she saw what I saw and left too, too many narcissists and just plain crazy people out there and it can't be fixed. Many people in positions of power and authority are grossly unqualified and do not should not be in those positions. Directors beware, do not appoint arrogant sociopaths and psychopaths to positions where they have power over others, it will end in disaster and you yourself may well end up losing your own job. It's gonna be tough going finding another one too especially as the economy is starting to tank.
I have the same experience. The problem was when they did not believe you that that person is a narcissist/sociopath and you were made to be the bad person.
This kind of goes along with the feeling drained but I've come to a point in my life where I wake up/or go to bed praying, "Please God. Let something exciting happen today/tomorrow. Please let something good happen at work. I don't want to live the rest of my life hating it. I want to be able to live enjoying my life. Or find something enjoyable during the hard times."
This is my second job and I love it! I'm so glad that I made my decision about quitting my previous job. Even if there's boring days in this one I can't compare them to my old job not even 1%. It's more official, I know exactly when is my off day, there's always tasks to do and I'm always moving a lot, my co workers are nice to me even the salary is decent enough. Please I'm telling you don't force yourself! There's always a million opportunities right there
Just FINALLY quit my work as a healer and life coach that I have been doing for 20 years. Looking back, I realize I have been unhappy and unfulfilled in it for about 8 years. It was SO hard to let go of because I was over-identified with it being my "soul work and purpose." Nope. My purpose is to take care of myself and quit anything that keeps me sick and unhappy.
Oh my you are a blessing! I've been with my current company for 4 yrs now I got promoted but I am now experiencing these 4 signs out of 5. Thank you. This means a lot. I have now a clear picture. I am now ready to leave
Yes I'm a "job hopper" not because I want to be! I would love to find a job I'm happy with and don't mind staying at for several years. But all of the jobs I have had just make me miserable! I can only take being miserable for so long.. I put in my two weeks today at my current job bc the stress and anxiety has just gotten too much for me. I even developed a drinking problem to cope with the stress... idk if anyone's gonna read this but please just pray for me or send good vibes. Life is hard 😩
You need to do some soul searching to find out what makes you happy then pursue that. You obviously picked the wrong profession, it’s rare that you’ll find a job that is perfect but life is short so why continue working in riles that give you no enjoyment, if a role is causing you to drink to endure it that us a major problem. Life is very hard but we live in a country where there is countless opportunity.

I’m tired of living paycheck to paycheck it’s time for me to goooo. I feel so sick when I’m at work. The company always have so many new rules for such a low paying job.
The drain part is what’s killing me. I’m assigned a technical leadership position but the boss is just so micromanaging that the leadership position is pretty much useless. I’m very good at driving my self and replenishing every week but he is really good at killing any motivation and bring you back top point zero. At this point I’m just building the momentum to head out. Some leaders are just not good at leading. Watch out for these types otherwise you will end up with a bad mood and a bad health
Weird right? My manager is the same. If he let me do my thing and encouraged me every once in a while I'd do a lot for the company. I'd be so motivated. Instead he throws all the tasks at me that he thinks others can't do and pressures me to do even more and faster. Absurdly because he thinks I am already fast I have to do even more with no reward at all.
femaleforester sounds like me! I only work 8 days so far and I already want to leave because the employer expected so much of me just the second day in there when I literally told her I have no experience so I need guidance and time to learn about this job. No she wants me to work faster and know what to do on my own already on my second and third days!! I already made it to the eight days but I’m ready to get out as I found a new place though it’s volunteer and unpaid, the owner of the store is nice and patience with teaching me. She’s willing to allow me to challenge myself and support and guide me if I decide to take on a new challenge at work. She’s always at the store so she’s willing to help answer questions and teach me! I like better than the pay job I have now which only pay me $10/hr but gives me so much headache. I feel pressured and unmotivated and unhappy to go to work! Always fear of what the employer will say to me!! I need to leave even if it’s only 8 days of work, I cannot stick it out any longer!! She’s too much for me and it’s not like I needed the money!! I just want a boss who’s understanding and willing to teach and guide me on the job so I can grow and gain the experience I needed to be better and improve my skills but she doesn’t. The third rule she said if you’re only there for a couple months try to stick longer but with this job I have, I cannot any longer because it makes me unhappy and stress even not at work!! Makes me have nightmares and I’ve been waking up at night a couple of times because of the anxiety and fear I have toward this job!!! I need to leave now!!!
Or when your employer(s) start treating you like you don’t do anything useful all the while that you are running their business for them. And/or when they start making false accusations against you because you didn’t get the hint to leave when they acted like you didn’t do anything useful for them. Walk away and try not to gloat when their business, that they have zero experience running, goes down the drain without you. Yeah...it sucks not having the income, but nowhere near as much as it sucks working for crappy people who cannot appreciate the employee that was there when they bought the business.
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 2 months ago about self development and now have more than 100 subs and almost 70 hour watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so much lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place
-Your boss makes no bones about how “replaceable” you and other employees are. -Your boss is cheap, limiting your resources and/or salaries yet keeping their own pricey overhead -You have to pick up ANY slack, and frequently -You find excuses not to go in to work -Your concerns, ideas, suggestions, skills, qualifications, and accomplishments are trivialized/ignored
Before quitting your job, find your passion. Imagine what your typical day would be like five years from now. When you find your passion get a job related to that passion. Eg, if you are a programmer but you always wanted to be an writer, write a lot. Prepare yourself. Then ultimately quit when you find a writing job.
When I got out of high school I went into military. Afterwards I became a firefighter/medic. Due to the the city I worked for reducing us to part time and contracting a private ambulance I switched to the Sheriff's department. Been with the Sheriff's department for 14 years now and I'm miserable. I want to quit, move and learn something new.
Those fears are what keep people on jobs they absolutely hate. As Les Brown said "People are comfortable with familiar hells than unknown heavens". In order to grow and get what you want out of life, you have to get out of your comfort zone and take risks. Just say to yourself this "I'm awesome and I deserve the best out of life". Also, say to yourself "everything will work out in the end".
I used to be the same way until one day I actually did it and felt so relieved 😌 I took a risk and I used to be scared to take risks. I had so many job interviews lined up after and got a couple of job offers within a week
I been working at a call center environment over 4 years and I finally got so burnt out that i knew in my head that i wouldn't get that same pay and benefits based on my skill set elsewhere so i tried committing suicide, i started to take heavy drugs and my mind was so dark people knew i changed so i walked away and i couldn't land a job and almost became homeless.. life can be miserable sometimes anyways if a job stressing you out leave no matter what. thanks for everything ☺
I can't give you a thumbs up...you should get medical help to treat your suicidal ideations...I'm not a doctor but I know drugs numb your emotions and confuse you...you are an adult, take care of yourself and love yourself...you sound like you need help...write me if you need help...I have worked with people in tough situatons
Im praying for you. God has a plan for you. One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard was, “don’t make a permanent decisions based on temporary feelings”. You might feel discouraged and in distress at a job but jobs are so very temporary. Your life is so precious and Jesus Christ thought you were to die for! That’s how important you are in this life. He loves you so much. Don’t let anyone or anything make you feel otherwise. It will get better trust me, no matter how dark things look now. God has an incredible plan for you. All you have to do is ask Jesus to come into your life to help you and He will be there! God bless 💜
I've answered yes to all your signs where I am now. I have accepted an offer from another place and just awaiting background check to be official. So excited.

Yeah, I am the one that move into another job and just found out that job less challenge and more junior position than previous one. Now everyday feeling like in hell. Another great video Linda. It made me realize that im right when i left my previous job. Im now doing good in my current job because i listened to your teachings in your video. Youre of great gift for us Linda. Wish you always have a great day..
Thanks for sharing this video. This is so relatable. I too resigned during my probation period. I was working in my previous company for about 5 years. As time goes by, I realised that there was not much career progression/development opportunities in my role. Hence, I took a leap of faith and went to search for other job opportunities. When I chanced upon this new job, I was delighted because the base pay was pretty good. When I started the 'intensive' training during probation period, I experienced a 'shift shock'. Or should I say, a work culture shock because the work pace is so different from my previous workplace, and it was fast to a point where I felt overwhelmed and disconnected when coping with my work. Thats when I realised that it was a poor job fit. In addition, my health took a toll as well! My mind and body were forcing me to resign from my job and take a break 🥲 Looking back, I shouldn't have solely used money as a criterion, but to understand my areas of work interest, career goals, skill sets, strengths and weaknesses better before I pursue Or take up any job offer.
pusc1fer only you know that you feel that way...and you can harness your emotions and make it better at least for the timebeing before you change jobs!
let's face it. the fact we're even watching this already means we know our job isn't for us. i damn well know mine isn't, from the first day i KNEW it wasn't. i'm just scared. for a number of things. first of all i got in with the owner of the place backing me up. i feel like it would be such a waste of her time, she has done a lot for me to get in only for me to want to back out so fast. i planned to get at least three months in but i don't think i will be able to handle it. also my mom has rooted for me so hard, plus she covered most of the costs of my requirements. i wouldn't want to waste her effort. but i REALLY know i am not for this job. i mean in everything we get into, we'd know from the start, we get that feeling and we'd know whether it's right for us or not. i know my strengths. sure, i can handle all the hard work and fast paced environments but doesn't mean i enjoy nor want to keep doing it. my strength lies with creativity, critical thinking, and literature. it is definitely because of that that when i come home from work i feel so drained and relieved that i have gotten out. even before work, i dread having to come. i have strengths that i can never put to use. i can not excel or put my best foot forward because i can't express or show my true potential. all work is exhausting but i truly believe that with the right job, the tiredness is paired with fulfilment, because though you have exerted yourself, you have been able to use your talent and skills. i also thin like i'm always on thin ice with everyone. i'm the only new hire and i feel like a burden. the supposed seniors who should know better are the ones who pressure me the most. they say to ask but get mad when i do. i do not know where i stand. everyone tells me i have improved and learned the fastest and even i know but not even that makes me happy. it just makes me scared because they would expect more from me. i just get scared of what i do NOT know. every time i get home i vent to my friends about all the things that sucked at work, not the many things i have done right. i am not a negative person, quite the contrary. i love living, but not for right now. when i think of the near future even, i see myself quitting. i can't even call my rest days, "rest days" because all i think about is how i have to work again tomorrow and all that. i currently work in fast food service. i CAN handle it but it doesn't fulfill me. some of my seniors have been there for decades, but every second i have to work there makes me want to cry. i know all work environments have a certain toxicity, but i KNOW that with a job that is for me, i wouldn't be too fazed as i am just doing what i do.
It’s time to leave your job when the people on FMLA are treated 100 times better than you, despite the fact you actually show up to work every day and the FMLA people don’t. When the company makes you do 2 to 3 times more work than everyone else… A.k.a. you get punished for doing a good job. When you’re expected to pick up the slack every single day for FMLA people who call off… This is when you know it’s time to quit. I will never ever ever let myself be abused by an employer like this ever again, and you shouldn’t either
It’s so tough. I know I need to quit though it’s only been a few months. I’m supporting a family on my own, it’s not easy to quit even though you know you should
After almost six years at my current job I’m leaving. The first four years was fun, had a great crew and management. Then last summer my building had been acquired by another company and came in new management, thus began a downward spiral of the workplace culture, mass resignation of longtime staff and supervisors and constant turnover, lack of leadership and training, staff being lazy, management not caring and being oblivious of issues pretending things are going well, being cheap… I can go on. The job itself I like, but the people around me are just insufferable and no amount of money will keep me to continue working there.
This video helped me so much. I have three jobs currently. One an internship, second a barista, and third and after school teacher. And it’s a lot , I did this to myself so that I could finally move out of my parents house but I’ve found out recently that it wouldn’t matter and I still wouldn’t be able to afford to live out on my own. My after school job is great the kids are all mostly good but it is stressful and the management has been cutting my hours and troubles with communication which just makes it even harder to stay there. I barely have time to do laundry, shower, or even to eat because I go to work at 5 am and I don’t come home until 6:30pm and I have to go to bed by 7:30 or I will be too tired to function for my 5:00 am shift. It’s not worth being paid little and dealing with not being able to take care of yourself
Worked at my latest job for three months. They treat everyone like garbage, and are both physically and verbally abusive to employees. The president of the company punched a man in the side for getting an “attitude” with her. I can’t do this to myself anymore
Taking the leap of faith and leaving your job will light a fire under your butt and getting your taking any needed action to make it work. I would definitely recommend saving 6 months living expenses and investing a in a coach before you make the jump into entrepreneurship.
Thank you so much for the information that you shared in this video. It is very spot on and really helpful. And, as an aside, you are simply gorgeous! 😍
well not easy to quit a job why because of economic hardtime, and you just college level, even thou the pay is low you have to stay because if you resign its hard to find job,not everybody is gifted, intelligent have a good school background.
I think before considering quitting a job, we should consider a lot of things, like if we quit our current job, what do we want to do next? What kind of job are we looking for? I think it is important to take time and look for what really make us happy and fullfilled. There are a lot of high paying jobs but very stressful, there are some that are not really high paying but we love the work and our collegues. It will not always be perfect, I think what is important to look for something that we will be happy.
I quit one of my corporate jobs because it was like a sweat shop with Burger King managers.I learned a lot, but there was no job security and people were poisonous, could n’t trust anybody and violated most of the polices.
Yes!!! #1 is the truth. Boredom and not learning is a key indicator. I once heard and Chase executive state 18-24 months is a good time to reevaluate to look for something else. Ask yourself do you know 80% of the position? If so it may be time to seek other opportunities- Great video
I have also heard that...and also heard that if your employer does not give you a raise you shouldn't ask for one because it is a sign you should leave

O yes it's Sunday and I dread going to work, one of the co-workers is harsh (she actually said that, she knows shes harsh and says she will not change for anyone), when you confront her on how her behavior is affecting you she turns the tables... she even last week mocked me for feeling anxious, telling me to stop feeling that way... feeling disrespected makes me and most angry. It is emotional abuse however I have worked in many places where this is present. It makes me so sick.
I'm 17 and I'm told that I'm pretty much the best person there yet the managers have attitudes and only now seem the value me as I say I'm leaving. They try to act like I'm responsible for their company and I feel guilty leaving.

I am now unemployed but feel so much better. When I do return to work I will quit if it is in an unhealthy environment. The money is not worth the misery of being packed in like cattle.
Amen, your sanity and peace of mind are so much more important. Freedom is priceless
I mean sounds understandable, but how do you maintain yourself after quitting and being unemployed? (don't answer), that Sounds rough, unless you won the lottery.
I'm thinking of quitting Monday. 😮
Mady Bell do it
scan1982 how do you put food on the table for your kids!? I have tens of thousands in savings that I could potentially use, but I wouldn’t want to.
When some people around me at my office disrespect my value and blindly don't appreciate my work and skills, it's time to quit. It's not the job that i hate, but the people i work with...
Exactly well said.
Yesss this is what I was saying lol
I agree well said 👏

Toxic People ruin great jobs
I loved your comment: if I am not happy with the work I do, then I am not happy. Period. Totally me. Tomorrow i start a new job. Such peace of mind I have.

When your boss no longer respects you, or your accomplishments, Talks behind your back etc... I'm putting in my resignation hopefully by the end of the week. Think my plan B (at the competitors) is just about lined up and I can hardly wait to start a new chapter.
My current situation. Now attacks at my character and they dont know me outside of work.
Spicy Sour Chicken - hi, how are you doing now?
@@spicysourchicken7181 I’m happy for you and thank you so much for your advice 🙏
All the best to you as well and I hope your 2nd job will be better for you overall :) Keep up the good work, but don’t forget to take care of your health 🙏
@@spicysourchicken7181 how did you resign? I mean what did you put as a reason? Or did you tell them that you have found a better opportunity?
I knew I had to leave my last job for two reasons: 1. I dreaded going to work each morning. 2. Everytime I came home, I always nagged to my wife about the day.
When you’re working with other women who are competitive and manipulative.... when you do your very best but you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.... just get out and find something worth your time and energy.
I so feel you💛
I definitely understand
That’s what’s happening to me and we have a co worker that won’t let people do overtime 😂😂
Out of curiosity, is it typically a challenge for you as a woman to work with other women? If so why?
In this kind of group, there is always this one B who is the biggest snitch
Yes, so many emotions! Glad it is not just me feeling those. It's time! Thank you.
Love it
That’s what I did. One night I said I done with that job cuz of bad managers. So I text my Gm, who never answers my text unless she want to and that a blue moon, and she reply faster than ever as in what happen? Didn’t give my two week either and I highly recommend y’all don’t either
Actually, it's okay to run away from a position. You don't need to stay until securing another job. It's not always a bad move.
I agree. Leaving a job often frees up your time to look for other work or earn another certification. This is especially true if you work long hours or have a long commute.
but it is a risk because we don't know how long we can get another job..only if you have saving that enough for 6 months or 1 year then you can quit and focus in finding a new job
When you feel a new season is beginning
I feel a new season beginning
Yup!
This is why I want to leave. I can definitely feel a new season. It's the for me to work for myself
Learn from your professional network at these places whether it’s worth the move. There are opportunities and sometimes they just need to be found. Wishing best of luck as I know the feeling and made the change.
@@shelby8474 hold up they can't do that..depending on your state some have actually increased paid sick time. Me too! I cannot stand being bored at work
Thanks Linda for helping me realize it was time for me to leave, even though I am considered a good employee, now I am at job I'm happy with getting recognized and receiving awards at my current employer.
Great tips!!! I’ve at my job for 4 years hourly employee and it was no longer serving me and I just got a new salaried position at another company 🎉
I totally feel you.
Sending you love and light ❤❤
You need to do some soul searching to find out what makes you happy then pursue that. You obviously picked the wrong profession, it’s rare that you’ll find a job that is perfect but life is short so why continue working in riles that give you no enjoyment, if a role is causing you to drink to endure it that us a major problem. Life is very hard but we live in a country where there is countless opportunity.

When you start calling out often and for many years that has never been your pattern...it’s time to go.
I’m tired of living paycheck to paycheck it’s time for me to goooo. I feel so sick when I’m at work. The company always have so many new rules for such a low paying job.
Same
😢😢😢
Micromanaging is one of the top red flags of a narcissist/sociopathic manager.
Man i work as a Technical Officer Quality Department and this hits home for me... Its like i am living your life word by word
5 months at my first full-time job and the stress has had negative effects on my physical + mental health. Can’t continue to compromise my well-being.
I hope you're doing great :)
Hey how are you m? I hope you are doing better now
-Your boss makes no bones about how “replaceable” you and other employees are.
-Your boss is cheap, limiting your resources and/or salaries yet keeping their own pricey overhead
-You have to pick up ANY slack, and frequently
-You find excuses not to go in to work
-Your concerns, ideas, suggestions, skills, qualifications, and accomplishments are trivialized/ignored
Whenever I feel like finding a new job I always turn to Linda.
Before quitting your job, find your passion. Imagine what your typical day would be like five years from now. When you find your passion get a job related to that passion. Eg, if you are a programmer but you always wanted to be an writer, write a lot. Prepare yourself. Then ultimately quit when you find a writing job.
This comment makes a lot of sense. Thank you for this! 💜

Due to the the city I worked for reducing us to part time and contracting a private ambulance I switched to the Sheriff's department. Been with the Sheriff's department for 14 years now and I'm miserable. I want to quit, move and learn something new.
I wish I can leave but the fear of being jobless and not having good capital to establish myself gets me scared
FEAR= False Evidence Appearing Real. Stop settling period!
Find another job first before you quit.
it's part of getting out of your comfort zone, the first step to improvement

God bless 💜
Hope you're doing better now ❤

My mind and body were forcing me to resign from my job and take a break 🥲
Looking back, I shouldn't have solely used money as a criterion, but to understand my areas of work interest, career goals, skill sets, strengths and weaknesses better before I pursue Or take up any job offer.
I'm utterly depressed in my job... I'm glad I came across this.

This woman is TRUTH personified. Couldn't agree more with this video.
let's face it. the fact we're even watching this already means we know our job isn't for us. i damn well know mine isn't, from the first day i KNEW it wasn't. i'm just scared. for a number of things.
first of all i got in with the owner of the place backing me up. i feel like it would be such a waste of her time, she has done a lot for me to get in only for me to want to back out so fast. i planned to get at least three months in but i don't think i will be able to handle it.
also my mom has rooted for me so hard, plus she covered most of the costs of my requirements. i wouldn't want to waste her effort.
but i REALLY know i am not for this job. i mean in everything we get into, we'd know from the start, we get that feeling and we'd know whether it's right for us or not. i know my strengths. sure, i can handle all the hard work and fast paced environments but doesn't mean i enjoy nor want to keep doing it. my strength lies with creativity, critical thinking, and literature. it is definitely because of that that when i come home from work i feel so drained and relieved that i have gotten out. even before work, i dread having to come. i have strengths that i can never put to use. i can not excel or put my best foot forward because i can't express or show my true potential. all work is exhausting but i truly believe that with the right job, the tiredness is paired with fulfilment, because though you have exerted yourself, you have been able to use your talent and skills.
i also thin like i'm always on thin ice with everyone. i'm the only new hire and i feel like a burden. the supposed seniors who should know better are the ones who pressure me the most. they say to ask but get mad when i do. i do not know where i stand.
everyone tells me i have improved and learned the fastest and even i know but not even that makes me happy. it just makes me scared because they would expect more from me. i just get scared of what i do NOT know.
every time i get home i vent to my friends about all the things that sucked at work, not the many things i have done right. i am not a negative person, quite the contrary. i love living, but not for right now. when i think of the near future even, i see myself quitting. i can't even call my rest days, "rest days" because all i think about is how i have to work again tomorrow and all that.
i currently work in fast food service. i CAN handle it but it doesn't fulfill me. some of my seniors have been there for decades, but every second i have to work there makes me want to cry. i know all work environments have a certain toxicity, but i KNOW that with a job that is for me, i wouldn't be too fazed as i am just doing what i do.
To many hats too little pay.
I 100% agree with this

This is really impressive job interview tips. Learnt alot from this. am from Malawi
Sounds like my current situation.
Great video. I gotta leave my day job. It's dead end. Made it to the highest achievable without a college degree. Pay is low.
Yes. I'm going through this now.

It’s not worth being paid little and dealing with not being able to take care of yourself

well not easy to quit a job why because of economic hardtime, and you just college level, even thou the pay is low you have to stay because if you resign its hard to find job,not everybody is gifted, intelligent have a good school background.

When you pull in the parking lot and feel FEAR... for no apparent reason. LEAVE.
@@pocketchange6010 depends. If you genuinely like your company and don't want to leave, then ask for raises. If you're company is meh or bad, don't bother struggling for raises since you'll make more by changing jobs
@@nopedefinitelynotnahthatsnotme or when everyone els is getting raises and new hires are paid more than you.
So happy I discovered this on my own ❤
I see this video and it’s all true. Sadly I can’t get a job. I feel so sad all the time and feel trapped. My comfort is at home 🏡 not at work. My career is Medical assistant.
I want to resign from my job but i donno how. And im not going to waste my time on 8-5 job. I want to do business but i don't know what it is.
Are you still looking?
Sameee
O yes it's Sunday and I dread going to work, one of the co-workers is harsh (she actually said that, she knows shes harsh and says she will not change for anyone), when you confront her on how her behavior is affecting you she turns the tables... she even last week mocked me for feeling anxious, telling me to stop feeling that way... feeling disrespected makes me and most angry. It is emotional abuse however I have worked in many places where this is present. It makes me so sick.
Another narcissistic coworker. These creatures are destroying the workplace.
I really appreciate the content shared in this video

I'm 17 and I'm told that I'm pretty much the best person there yet the managers have attitudes and only now seem the value me as I say I'm leaving. They try to act like I'm responsible for their company and I feel guilty leaving.
This girl is very intelligent.
I feel heard thank you I shall follow my heart.
Learning constantly every second of 8hrs is mentally draining. Im in this position. I want out! Im going crazy. I am mentally exhausted and physically my body is suffering. I want to quit right now. I just dnt have enough saved for bills. That’s what is holding me back but my mental and physical health is suffering. I can’t take it anymore. No family member is willing to help me. Im crying everyday coz of my situation.
Omg! Same here! It's very stessful.and they expect you to learn things right away as if you're a genius!
For me it was the fact that I always felt sick whenever I thought of that i was going to the office every morning. Also I was undervalued and overworked
Exactly me now
