    Great refresher as we head into the planting season. We've changed our N game the last few years on our farm. No fall apply N anymore. Almost all sidedress the last few years. Adding more no till and cover crops each year so we are watching that carbon penalty closely.

    Wow! Thank you for that video. I got a lot out of that! What do you recommend for a fall tillage tool? To help start breaking down my corn residue earlier? We use a Great Plains Turbo Max right now.

      +Caleb Vick That's a good choice. Of course we suggest speeding that process with the combine by processing corn stalks with the corn head. We offer stalk rolls that perforate the stalk to increase microbial action sites. But a shredder or tillage tool with narrowly spaced coulter gangs will size the residue for faster breakdown.
