  • Ripping can cost you $20 per acre. But tradition ripper points leave 40% of the subsoil undisturbed - restricting root access. See how 360 BULLET can unlock the full potential of your subsoil.

One of the problems I've seen is when tillage is is done at the wrong time of the year due to cropping season...I've seen that years ago when we did our ripping on summer/dry season the soil shatter was uniform to almost to the depth of the ripper shank both vertically and horizontally. Normally you can't get that effective during the wetter seasons. SIMILARLY TILLING AFTER WINTER WHEAT HARVEST WHEN THE GROUND IS USALLY
THE DRIEST THAT THE GROUND WILL BE ALL YEAR. THAT IS WHEN YOU'LL BE DOING YOUR MOST EFFECTIVE SOIL SHATTERING. THEN YOU CAN USE A LIGHT TILLAGE TOOL TO PREP YOUR FOLLOWING CROP WHETHER WHEAT ON WHEAT OR CORN SOYBEANS OR COTTON THE FOLLOWING SPRING

Does the ground speed you run the ripper at make any difference?
