Depend when he do planting, but i believe there is always moisture for germinating in early spring when is planting date for corn,sunflower,soybean,etc...but y it's good question,i guess he can let irrigation to run longer and therefore rise moisture up to the top of soil,he say moisture reach top of soil with no problem so....I love very much dept of those drip tapes, and how moisture without problem reach to the top,ofc i believe that depend on soil texture mainly, but in my country we have simillar soil types so i believe that would work for me too.Because i would like to continue with strip till without worrying about damaging drip tapes. Also, more deeper in ground u place tapes, more safer they are from pests damaging them, field mouses and other nasty creatures ....And 15 years or more life span of those tapes,.are equally or more amazing!!!.I was counting on 7-8 years ,maybe 10,but this is awesome.
