Im originality from Wilmington nc but live in Jonesville now and its a quiet little town ithe people are nice and the police are awesome

I really enjoyed your tour today. Elkin was my place of birth (Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital) but I grew up in Greensboro. Thanks for another good one.
Great town, I will be going back to hike some of the trails.
I lived in Elkin for many years before moving to Jonesville (because I found a good affordable house to buy in Jonesville). I really adore Elkin. They are so close together. If Elkin wasn't right across the river, I would not like Jonesville nearly as much. Elkin is great, and yes, I also wish somebody would reopen Royall's Soda Shop. I loved their hotdogs.

Daniel Boone came through Yadkinville - We have a marker about it - on the other side of the courthouse - you went around to the back of courthouse and missed the marker

At the top of those steps and to the left is a little coffee shop called Dirty Joe's. Great coffee, great desserts and great customer service. Further up on Bridge Street is Prime Thai. They have the best Thai food. Nice little town. Thank you for sharing.

I chose a hotel in Jonesville, at random, because I wanted to take my family on a Labor day trip, without much notice, and it was the most affordable. I'm glad we came!

Random fact: elkin used to be known as one of the busiest cruising cities in the country people would literally travel all the way from California to cruise downtown Elkin

Peckerwood NC Yes there is a road named this .. I want talk about were this name came from

Downtown Elkin is alright, but the rest is terrible. You also missed a mural by Comb's butcher shop
