I think this ride at night is the game changer. A totally different experience at night time.( from the POV videos I saw). I think you'll get that "wow" factor if you ride it again, but at night. It looks amazing!

Don’t know why they didn’t think hey a lot of people say the ride is too short when it opened in Shanghai that they didn’t make it little longer even another 30 seconds would go a long way. It just seems that more often than not WDW gets the short end of the stick on clones or the exact same thing when the ride could’ve clearly been improved upon

Yep, I have a feeling this will be a common refrain, not from everyone, but a healthy dose of people. With them cloning Shanghai's version, the short nature of it was going to be a definite downside. It will look great at night and it's a fun, quick coaster, but it's placement next to Space, the length, construction time and cost make you say, huh. Really wish they'd tried to make it a dueling coaster and tack on another 30-40 seconds.
In 2018 I was in WDW seeing the construction being started. And was so excited for it to open..

Tbh it’s really not. They said it was exactly like the original one. That’s just y’all over exaggerating things respectfully. If you knew what tron was then you wouldn’t be surprised. Even so… they said this is a little longer than the Shanghai one so. I don’t get the uproar. It’s very idiotic imo.
It's designed to be a people eater. The walkway and ride take up a huge piece of land with nothing but the ride. Long line, short pre-show, short ride.

It does look pretty cool! But a bummer that it's so short. I feel like with the amount of time that the average person spends waiting in line at most attractions...they should have made it longer 🤷♀️

- The ride seems to go **slightly** slower on the Shanghai version most likely due to there being less weight on the train.
it's about the same length of track as Rock n Roller Coaster and Space Mountain, and it is actually longer than Big Thunder and Seven Dwarfs. I think it just feels shorter because it launches to 59mph / 94kph and the entire ride is very fast!
it is VERY thrilling for a Disney coaster. Sure, it's not Kingda Ka or anything, but this is also a Disney park. It is easily my favorite coaster Disney has ever built!

Fun fact: Tron LightCycle Run is the fastest coaster at any Disney Park (tied with its clone in Shanghai) at 60MPH.
Fun fact : Test Track goes 65mph.

Def very short. I could see riding it once for the experience but nothing I'd wait in a super long line for. I wonder how it compares to Space Mountain as far as thrills go. I didn't see any big drops.

Tron Legacy is one of my favorite movies and Daft Punk is my all-time favorite group. The theming alone makes it a must ride for me. I'm very excited for my next Disney trip.

So looking forward to Tron. We will be there opening day. 2018: we'd just moved from CT--->TX. My dad fell terminally ill shortly after and passed away that fall. Summer 2018 is a blur as I split myself between Texas and NJ on a weekly basis.
2018 was last time we managed to visit USA and Disney and I remember seeing signs saying Tron is coming x can't wait to be able to come back over

I appreciate the brief explanation regarding the ride's story that you provided in the beginning. Did not realize that the riders were "digitized" into the world of Tron. Maybe I will go back and give those movies another watch.
Nick is definitely a real one!!! I'm so glad y'all got to experience that with him 💯 but IMO I think Tron is a test ride to improving crowd management in a sense of not having long wait times to get on it which is why they went the short ride time route I could be wrong but it feels like that's their plan.

I rode in Shanghai and they should have finished MK Tron before Cosmic Rewind. It's a great ride and I like the Tron queue better but I would use a super Fast Pass on CR.

I had the pleasure of meeting Nick last week though as he was our cabana attendant at Volcano Bay. He was amazing and seemed genuinely nice.
Problem with Tron is it opened after Cosmic Rewind which is a top tier and one of the best coasters. Expectations is high here

Wow! Seems short but definitely looks fun! In 2018 I was fresh out of nursing school working in the emergency room. I was just in Disney in June with my family, not sure when we'll be back but excited to try Tron when the time comes!

I was at Disneyworld in 2018 visiting my DCP daughter who worked at Fort Wilderness. However I was 12 in 1982 when original Tron movie came out …. Thank you Nick for the passes and sneak preview of Tron 🏍️
In 2018 I was and still am living in Huntington, WV with my wife and daughter…we came to WDW in 2019 and saw the tron construction while at MK on the TTA Peoplemover..crazy it has taken so long to complete.

That was 7 Dwarves Mine Train short. Looked cool but crazy short.
The inside is sweet actually, maybe another 30 seconds-minute would have hit it out of the park

The locals and historians love having the train back. Tron is more to attracting tourists and bringing Disney some more revenue to be competitive vs Universal and other competitive parks.

TRON was originally scheduled to be finished in 2021. Construction began on the attraction in 2018. It has been under construction for 5 years.

I was able to ride Tron Lighcycle Run while visiting Disney Shanghai and it is one of my all-time favourite roller coasters! I'm so excited they brought it to Magic Kingdom! I'll be going in June so it will be open by the time I go. So excited!
Please do another POV when you ride at night. I think that will add to excitement. I have toddler so I won’t be riding for years but love the videos!
