I’ve had this happen here and Animal Kingdom! It’s nice if you happen to be there earlier than official park opening but if you plan your morning around the actual early entry time then it’s not really fair haha. Imagine getting up early on vacation to be at rope drop only to get there and it already happened. Then you wasted all that time and effort lol. So I’m 50/50 about it

@@nancyoverly8459 deluxe guests get the same 30 minutes early entry. Deluxe guests do get extended evening hours on select nights/parks.
Yes. HS usually lets you on earlier than official early entry. In my experience, it's been around 7:45 for an 8:30 park opening

For early entry guests it’s not uncommon for them to open the lines and rides before the early park time. It depends on the park manager of the day if they decide to start earlier or not. At AK I’ve done flight of passage and river journey well before the early entry “open” time. This is very common now :)
In my history of rope dropping that has never been the case, happy to see it though
@@KylePalIo totally! I just started rope dropping past couple years. This has never been the case for me at MK. I see it more at HS and AK. And oddly, more specifically at Rise and FoP! Sometimes you get lucky! Enjoyed this vlog, Kyle! You and Casey got killer dance moves 😝

Same…I’ve experienced extra early ride access at HS and AK with FOP. We were told at HS a couple years ago that once an attraction is cleared to go after the safety check in the morning it’s up to the discretion of the CMs to go ahead and start running the attraction.

I hope you actually waited on those fans you said Come On to go ride Mickeys. They obviously couldn't keep up with the fast walking and yall didn't wait when you made it to mickeys. I could keep up myself but the older couple couldn't and would have made me upset if I was them. Just bc you said come on and said yes when they asked if they could come with you.
It's really a rude way of treating your fans.

We had this happen to us back last year in November when we went for early entry at Hollywood Studios! We walked into the park at 7:30 went straight to rise were thru the line and done with the ride before 8am! It was the BEST!
I was up there last month and thought i had reservations for magic kingdom so i went to by lightning lane for seven dwarfs mine train and said we don’t have the right park reservation requirements. (At this time magic kingdom opened 30 minutes before hollywood studios) so we turned around to get to hollywood studios and we were the first ones in the parking lot there was still dozens of workers pulling in to park we were the first ones in the park and the family behind us had trouble getting in, so my family was the only family in the park for 2 minutes it was so beautiful to see an empty hollywood and sunset blvd!
I love living vicariously through your Disney experiences. I usually go to Disneyland since I’m from California but due to COVID and my family being on the older side we just haven’t gone back since 2018

Hey Kyle! Great video! I was there that day celebrating my birthday! Hopefully I run into you one day. I miss the days I used to go in 2012 where Magic Hours were three hours after park closing for hotel guests.
During our last trip my husband and I got there very early and were able to get on the first ride for Rise 45 minutes before Early Entry! It was seriously worth getting up extra early for.

When we went to Hollywood Studios in April for Spring Break we were riding Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad before park opening!

We rope dropped Hollywood Studios two weeks ago. We were held just in front of Tower of Terror till 8am. Rode ToT and Mickey's before 8.30am. was fun doing it too.
Literally EVERYTIME we've rope dropped most rides were running before the park officially opened.

We have had the experience several times of the park staying open later than posted times if bad weather has closed down a majority of the rides earlier in the day. That is a great extra magical moment when that happens.

I had them do this at Hollywood last summer for rise. Because it gets the line going early so less back up in the morning. I was able to walk on slinky right after because I was in the first group on rise.

I’d go to Rise first too if it’s open. When we went in Feb., it was closed for a long time that morning. I was able to get a DAS pass for it when it did open.
The first time we stayed on Disney property, there was still 1 hour early entry. It was great!
Yes! This 1/2 hour doesn't allow much; plus at MK, half the park remains closed😕

We were there last week and HS was a good rope drop, most of the crowd went to Rise but we went to Slinky Dog. we got to ride it 4 times before it became crowded. Also got on Woody's round up pretty fast.

I LOVE when you post videos like this! It cures my Disney Homesickness.
My experience is to always hit Slinky first, then Rise of the Resistance. While that Rise of Resistance line can be long, it's always moving and you're on way sooner than you think. Slinky Dog breaks down during the day and will stall out the line, and often times feels longer to get on than Rise. But hey, if you've got that early entry, just hit them both up first!
We do the same thing and describe it exactly the same way! If you hit Rise right after Slinky, your wait is usually quicker than the posted time because the line constantly moves.

This definitely was a successful rope drop!! It seems when I decide to come down, the world decides to be at WDW and I never get that many rides in. I'm in a parks at night habit now - I guess a reverse rope drop, IDK, I'm all over the place when I'm at Disney 😂
As a family we actually went to smugglers because we had individual for rise and first selection of the day at slinky

Rope Drop at MK is technically 7:45 for MS USA and then Fantasyland and Tomorrowland open at 830
We saw the live action Cinderella preview there and the coach from the movie was there in Streets of America. My little girl dressed as Cinderella and we went to see it.
yeah again we were there last week and Hollywood started about 15 earlier than posted and so did Epcot, that was about 20 min earlier than what was posted. we were shocked at how few people were there, probably didn't even need genie + at Epcot or Animal Kingdom but cast members at the parks said in about 10 days, it was going to get super busy.
Yeah wish was hour too. Especially there Rise can take up that 30 minutes
About a month ago we went to animal kingdom , we were at riviera, they open at 7:15 we were first to ride flight passage at 7:30 , was great !

Hollywood Studios has been doing that. We rope dropped a couple days in the first week of April, rode Rise and were in the Slinky Dog line before official early entry time! It was awesome!!
Lol maybe they’re slowly testing the earlier entry for resort guests. I’d love to be able to enter the park an hour early

I'm so glad you did this early entry. This is exactly how I want to do it on my HS day. I plan to rope drop ROTR and have a Genie + for slinky dog. Not going until August so maybe fingers crossed I can get two rides in before official opening. Keep up good work you two.

we rope dropped HS end of Feb. we went to Slinky first, but it was closed, so we ran up to Tower and then did Mickey & Minnie and then Toy Story Mania in the half hour. We went to Swirling Saucers but then Slinky opened and was posted 30 min - we got out of line at Aliens, and ran over to Slinky and took about 10 min - Aliens was about 5 min after that. then we did Galaxy's edge - Millennium was maybe 20 min and we had a LL for Rise. Lunch at Sci-Fi, outta the park and back to our hotel by 1pm! sad that rockin roller coaster was closed, went to do a few rides at AK and back to HS for Fantasmic, did Lightning Mcqueen show after that and finished our night with Mickey & Minnie - it was an awesome day!
Never rope dropped? I don't believe I have ever not rope dropped. Last time when I was at the parks in October I rope dropped MK and had everything done by 12. Love that early morning disney day
Rise regularly opens ahead of the official early entry time. We got on super early during our November trip.

We just had the same thing happen at Epcot 2 days before this--we came in the back door from POP (8:08), walked to France (8:13) and went straight into the queue where they held us but the line started moving at about 8:30 and we were boarding Ratatouille at 8:35!

I was there in May and we waited in line for Mickey an Minnie’s until 8:30 an that’s when they let us on
I've done the early entry rope drop straight to Slinky Dog a few times a year the past few years. They've let us go all the way to the entrance at the bridge before they stop us. They waited until the park opened to open it up the rest of the way. I've had similar experiences that you described at all of the other parks as far as being held up at certain parts of the park.
I seem to remember Hollywood Studios opening a little before the posted time when we were there for the early morning hours rope drop in October 2021. I don’t think it was 20 min early though. And yes I think that for the premium prices guests pay to stay on property they should either give a full hour in the mornings or open it up to all resort hotel guests for the evening hours when they do those not just the deluxe resort guests. Since everything reopened post covid I feel like the amenities for staying on property have gone way down compared to precovid but of course the prices of staying on property have only gone up.
Can you share what time you got to the gate and what time they let guests start swiping in?
Dlp has an hour open for hotel guests. It's so worth it they open fantasy land so buzz lightyear space mountain autopia etc. We do it then have character breakfast in park at 945 😊

When we rope dropped they let us line up right away too. We got so much done when we rope dropped.
Two weeks ago we did this. We were first ones at the tapstiles. First human to hit rise. And it was down. 😢 No one told us on the way in!
Oh and yes it has happened before :) I’ve been off rise before 8am, and done slinky and in line for railway before 830. The other 2 rides don’t start until 8, rise starts earlier.

We always rope drop Slinky and then hit rest of the rides in Toy Story Land immediately after. Especially during the hot months. There's no stankin' shade in TSL lol. Gotta get in and get out. And also--- breakfast totchos!

My family went to Animal Kingdom an hour before early magic hours in the hop of riding Flight of Passage. they opened the park 30 minutes before early magic hours and we were on FOP in twenty minutes. was a great trip
