Bought my C8 on Halloween 2024 2LT (hypersonic grey) $60k out the door with 12k miles. I love it but haven't driven it much. I'm still in awe. My first Vette/ premium gas/V8. I already have 2 other cars but this was my dream car. Still surprised when I walk up with the keys.
@briandaniel931 If I recall correctly, CG noted it was a 2024. Regardless, that's way too expensive. Hince, why they are sitting on dealer lots here in SoCal.
I have a 3LT Z at MSRP and I have no regrets. It’s like driving a race car every time. The exhaust is crazy, and people go nuts around it. It’s so much fun. Life is short, and these cars are special and memorable, waiting 2-3 more years to get the $10k discount u got on previous Vettes is not worth it if you have the money. These cars will depreciate more but that will stabilize, the cars are just to good.
As an advid corvette fan, I think the pricing is the cause. When I purchased my 3rd corvette, a brand new 2016 2 LT Z51 with the carbon fiber exposed roof for just over 60k, now fast forward to now, and that's not even a 1LT today! I could have purchased a ZO6 for just over 70k as well. Now, the ZO6 is 40k plus more for a base. It seems like they have priced a lot of people out of the market.
Yea but these Z06s are super cars. I’ve driven the C7 and C8 Z06. The C7 isn’t close to the C8 Z06, not even close. ANY other car you buy with 670 horsepower normally aspirated is going to be $300,000 or more so you go find another car with 670 horsepower carbon brakes twin clutch automatic with carbon and aero for less than a Z06. It doesn’t exist
I have driven one for a month. Name another car you can buy with 670 horsepower carbon brakes twin clutch automatic with leather interior you can buy for $150,000. I’ll wait Anything else with those numbers is going to be $300,000 unless you buy a used McLaren, then maybe you can get at $275,000 The only other cars with those numbers are Ferrari McLaren or Lamborghini. Porsches top 911 S turbo is 650 horsepower. The gt3 is 500 hp. All well over $250,000
@ well I own a 2019 zo6 and it didn’t cost me this when it was new, to me its not warranted the price jump, build quality is not there yet so I think 120k max in my opinion
We want Vettes at Vette prices. Not Euro/Supercar prices. For the price of a Z06 I can buy a used 911 Turbo. Sure the Z06 is quicker, but the 911 Turbo is exotic and turns more heads.
The regular folks cannot afford these cars!!! The rich folks did not care!!! They would have bought a Ferrari or Lamborghini!!! So, they saved money even though they overpaid!!! That customer is gone!!! Wakeup Dealers and GM!!!
Because no one wants to spend +$80K for a plastic, uncomfortable, two seat car, that’s virtually unusable in the winter, is extremely difficult to work on yourself, has a corvette tax attached to it when you service at the stealer, insurance premiums through the roof - need I say more … plus these bastard dealers think they can still sell at or above MSRP - oh yeah, plus the price of groceries.

I think he mentioned he's in California. California tend to over priced everything including standards of living. I was at Orange County Chevy in California dealership a month ago, they will negotiate with you for under msrp for a Z06. I got up to $7K below msrp which is only 5% off. I didn't buy it.
Do you realize that in America, the only two seater sports car for 150k is the corvette,, that’s why they’re not selling because there’s no market for a car like that. If there was a lot of American car manufacturers will be producing a car like that, do you think affluent people in Europe gonna be driving a Corvette no way, the car simply does not fit into the fabric of Americans at that price point.
