My little daughter died January 31st, 1996...I held her for six hours as she struggled. When we left the hospital, it was February 1st. When my husband started the car...this song began playing on the radio. ⭐️

@@michaelstubbs5191 She was my littlest angel. Of all my children.
I made a very harsh decision (though). No pity for me. Only for her.
Katie Darlin was already challenged...with cystic fibrosis. As she developed small bleeding spots on her brain....cerebral palsy...I made the unthinkable choice...during a medical emergency. “Let Katie fight. If she survives this...we will intervene forever.” Katie didn’t survive. I held her for six hours, begging her to come back to me. Every time her heart stopped. And her heart would begin again. Until the nurses asked me to stop crying and begging. “We love Katie, too...next time her heart stops...don’t cry...tell her it’s okay and you are okay.” When I did as they asked? Katie darlin’s heart didn’t beat again.
She was two months old. And was velvet, with bright and kind, kind eyes. Before the spots on her brain came. Then she began flinching, if her feet were touched...and the spark faded from her eyes.
Some call me “hard” or “cruel” for making that call. But I left it up to baby girl, for how her life would be. Oxygen for sure...wheelchair, definitely. And I would not have to ability to provide this, without government help. So I asked her to fight. One time. Before we committed to a long road, that would (probably) lead to a death by age thirteen or fourteen. If we were going to beg for money, from the state? She would have to fight HARDER. Does that make sense?

We danced down a dark lane to this song in Savannah, Georgia. He held my hand and we ran through the hot, humid night. Fireflies and Spanish Moss. The twinkle of the gas light lamp posts. It started to rain and we smashed our prom shoes into puddles. Our wet clothes like a second skin, we pulled each other close and slow danced on cobblestones as we heard the last few minutes of this song filling up the Southern night sky...now I slow dance alone, and send this song out to the heavens to find him....thank you, Sophie. You were the perfect soundtrack to the last great beat of our hearts.

It's the same reason why people travel but eat in chain restaurants & fast food joints instead of local diners, independent restaurants, & places that serve food specific to the region they are in or the ethnicity of the people. Most people don't want to be bothered with thinking about anything & don't want to feel anything deeply. Music like this makes you both feel & think.

Jesus is the Way the truth, the life to eternity..A short account of my full Testimony: It was like a living horror movie. I can recall as a child laying on my bed, I remember being petrified after a girl said that I would go to hell. I remember being up by the ceiling and I could see the bottom of my bed, but I was too afraid to look at myself. Then immediately I was in a Tunnel of white bright light travelling at a phenomenal speed heading towards something, the walls of the Tunnel were illuminating light. I thought to myself 'what's at the end of this Tunnel' And instantly in my mind I heard ‘GOD’ Then I was terrified, twice I shouted 'I want to go back' Immediately I was back on my bed as if nothing had happened. Then to my stupidity at 18 years old, everything went downhill. I got involved with crime, paganism, and the occult years ago. I saw demons manifest in a room with a witness present. They were black see-through shadows with hooded heads and they swayed from side to side as if they had no rest. Identical to the film ‘Ghost with Patrick Swayze. I called on the Lord God and they disappeared. I heard the audible voice of Jesus Christ in a thundering voice in which told me to “Fear no evil’ from another separate encounter. Even after the hearing the Lord Speak, I still rebelled against Him, such was the strong Satanic hold on me. One incident one demon growled the word ‘Yes’ After I asked it a question, and a young boy looked over and heard it. Days later I saw an open vision from the Lord in which He revealed a part of Himself to me after I cried out and pleaded that He would prove Himself, and that I never wanted to ever see the group of demons again. I started to attend Church, I left my evil life behind, and started to warn people everywhere that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save everyone from eternal torment and give them eternal life. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.... So glad I know the truth, this is just a small fraction of my whole testimony. Please accept Jesus Christ as your saviour. He died and rose from the dead, to pay the penalty for our Sin and for us to escape Hell. We will all be held accountable at the judgment, either saved or condemned... I Thank God I know the truth. The Occult is real, hell is real, Satan and his demons are real, The Kingdom of Heaven is real, Jesus Christ is Lord, and demons are subject to His name. Seek Jesus and His Kingdom. My Full testimony is on other social media sites…. I still do not like shadows, neither faint whisper’s... God knows the truth of my horrendous past experiences. My wife's best friend died years ago when she was young. I told her 'Sam, you need to come to know Jesus as your Saviour’, and told her that I have a bad feeling that something bad was going to happen ' Death'. She went on the street and told everyone that I was crazy after telling her my testimony from the occult…Within weeks she consumed alcohol and because she was epileptic, she had a seizure in a bath and drowned as a result. The Lord showed me this beforehand. Also, during another incident an older man got friendly with me during church, I didn’t realise that he was gay at the time, I was younger then, and one afternoon he approached me at home and continually wanted me to pray over him. I told him ‘No Huw that’s enough’. He went into the kitchen to get a drink of water, I got on my knees and said ‘God please sort him out. Instantly he came running in, threw himself on the sofa, God gave him a vision of hell. He wept uncontrollably. I have other experiences also. Even to this day years later, I still do not like hearing faint whispers and seeing shadows. The demons were identical to the film ‘Ghost with Patrick Swayze’. Prior to my conversion to Jesus and regarding my testimony, I was a criminal. A close friend committed suicide; another friend committed murder. I gave my testimony to those in the forces, some believed. If only all did, everyone will be held accountable at the judgment of Jesus Christ and will either be saved or condemned. There is no escaping that, Jesus is the hi way to the Kingdom. He paid the penalty for all our wrongs on the cross shamefully beaten, all for what? To save us all from eternal hell. This earth has been given over, cash will end, and in the soon coming future, the mark of the beast from the Antichrist will be forced. Revelation 13 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

I was working 3rd shift all the time during this year and This song played alot during the 3rd shift hours of factory night life. They also played alot of 80's music on that channel but it worked nicely for those nights. And many a morning I would get off work humming this tune stopping by the gas station and picking up a six pack of Busch light tall boys and a 24oz of Molsen Canadian because that beer just made me think like I was drinking from dried maple leaves. Had a very autumn feel to it! Even back then this song had a heavy feel of Nostalgia but these days its of years long past but also not so long ago. You felt like springtime on this February morning
In a courtyard, birds were singing your praise
I'm still recalling things you said
To make me feel all right
I carry them with me today
Now as I lay me down to sleep
    This I pray
That you will hold me dear
    Though I'm far away
    I'll whisper your name
    Into the sky
And I will wake up happy
    I wonder why
    I feel so high
Though I am not above the sorrow
Heavy-hearted 'til you call my name
And it sounds like church bells
Or the whistle of a train on a Summer evening
I want to meet you barefoot, barely breathing
As I lay me down to sleep
    This I pray
That you will hold me dear
    Though I'm far away
    I'll whisper your name
    Into the sky
And I will wake up happy
As I lay me down to sleep
    This I pray
That you will hold me dear
    Though I'm far away
    I'll whisper your name
    Into the sky
And I will wake up happy
It's not too near for me
Like a flower, I need the rain
Thought it's not clear to me
    Every season has its change
And I will see you when the sun comes out again
As I lay me down to sleep
    This I pray
That you will hold me dear
    Though I'm far away
    I'll whisper your name
    Into the sky
And I will wake up happy
Oh-oh, as I lay me down to sleep
    This I pray
That you will hold me dear
    Though I'm far away
    I'll whisper your name
    Into the sky
And I will wake up happy
    I wonder why
Mm, the sun comes out again
When the sun comes out again
When the sun comes out again
    When the sun comes out
Oh, the sun comes out again
When the sun comes out again
    Mm, comes out, comes out
    Oh, wake up happy
    'Cause I pray

I was 21 and working at a long gone men's clothing store in the mall called J. Riggings. I remember many days and nights during the spring and summer of 1995, singing along to it under my breath while folding clothes and setting ads. Doesn't seem like much of a memory of anything important, but I liked the how this song playing softly in the background made something that was mundane and predictable feel like a quiet moment of introspection and happiness, if only for a few brief minutes.

This song takes me back to the mid-'90s when my best friend who used to live across the creek would come over for sleepovers, we would watch VHS movies every Friday night and over-analyze everything about the world using English words that we shouldn't even know at 15. Things were really good until we started to grow up and have feelings for each other. It became such a mess that we got together and broke up twice within a year. To heal her heart she started seeing our mutual best friend. They are still together to this day, while I'm here on youtube reminiscing about the best and worst times of my life which was the 90s.
